Heads of regions and members of their families continue to publish information about their income for 2010. On Friday, a serious bid was made for leadership in the list of the richest families of officials. From the declaration of the wife of the Primorsky Territory, Larisa Belobrova, it follows that her income last year exceeded 1 billion rubles (1 billion 72 million rubles). Darkin’s own income is average for a Russian governor—3.5 million rubles.
The governor's couple didn't really have any property. Darkin only has a state dacha in use. Belobrova’s property does not correspond to her income level: a plot of land of 50 acres, a two-room apartment of 30 sq. m. m, cottage 498 sq. m and two Toyota Land Cruisers, one of which was produced in 1996. Darkin’s daughter Yaroslava also has nothing. She only uses a 30-meter two-room apartment that belongs to her mother.
Belobrova is an actress of the Primorsky Academic Regional Drama Theater named after Gorky. According to media reports, before Darkin she was married to businessman Igor Karpov, who is known in the region as an “authority” nicknamed Karp. Karpov was killed in 1998, reportedly leaving a sizable inheritance to his wife.
["Komsomolskaya Pravda", 04/30/2011, "The actress of the Primorsky Theater earned twice as much as Angelina Jolie": But how worthy our honored artists from the provinces live: the actress of the Primorsky Theater Larisa Belobrova earned almost $38 million! Where do our Hollywood superstars care?
For example, “Honored Artists of Hollywood” Julia Roberts and Angelina Jolie earned only $20 million last year, that is, almost 2 times less than our Honored Artist from the Primorsky Theater! And megastar Meryl Streep's income last year was only $13 million - three times less than Larisa Belobrova's! — Insert K.ru]
Last year, Darkin also noticeably improved his financial situation, earning 1 million rubles more than in 2009 (2.4 million). His income is 307 times less than his wife's income.
The wives of other Russian officials are still noticeably inferior to Darkin’s wife. The richest of them, the wife of First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov, Ekaterina Ignatova [RUSPRES: the author probably means Olga Shuvalova, because Ekaterina Ignatova is the wife of the head of the state corporation "Russian Technologies" Sergei Chemezov ] got rich last year by only 372 million rubles.
However, modern Russian history has known more impressive successes of governor's wives. Last year, the wife of now former Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov, talented metropolitan businessman Elena Baturina, declared an income of 13 billion rubles [RUB 31 billion — Commentary to K.ru].
There is no secret to Belobrova’s income, says political scientist Rostislav Turovsky.
It is well known that before becoming governor, Darkin was a major businessman, and it is also well known that after he became governor, his business was registered in the name of his wife, the expert recalled. “Officials like to register property in the name of their wives. There is a certain risk in this: problems may arise during a divorce or in case of conflict in the family. But if a man is sure that he can come to an agreement with his wife, then everything is fine. In addition, the wives turn out to be rich,” noted the interlocutor of Gazeta.Ru.
The fact that Darkin demonstrates real property asceticism from year to year speaks more about himself than about his real property status, Turovsky believes. “Apparently, he decided to completely distance himself from his business so that the rumors that were circulating about his property would stop. But he did not take into account that now, when the income is too small, this causes much more suspicion. So it would be wiser for him to get something back,” the expert said.

The fact that Darkin would “retire” was talked about for a single day. But political scientists unanimously convinced: until the APEC Summit takes place in Vladivostok, the governor will remain in his place. They say that too grandiose construction projects have been launched, there is too little time to implement these plans, it is not time to transfer the matter to a new person. Darkin's resignation was again openly discussed after Vladimir Putin's last press conference, which took place live. Let us remember that the businessman then complained to the prime minister: “It’s no secret that the bureaucracy headed by Darkin is lining their pockets at our expense. I would like to know how long Darkin, who controls this chaos from beginning to end, will remain in his post.” (Live Line Transcript - )
I don't know why there is such a rush. Only one respected businessman said that there is powerful corruption in the region. It's a shame, of course. I don't think so. It turned out to be awkward in front of Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. But we still treat all criticism with attention. And we will take this into account,” Sergei Darkin then commented on the question to our columnist Alexander Gamov.
- Putin also promised: they say that he will take into account what he was told about Vladivostok in his work.
I am sure that the prime minister will be informed correctly about everything as it is. I'm not white and not fluffy. But I haven’t stolen a single penny and I’m not lining my pockets, including through business. Sorry, I don't have time...

CALL TO THE EX-GOVERNOR'S WIFE LARISA BELOBROVA
“I learned about my husband’s resignation from friends,” Larisa Belobrova, Sergei Mikhailovich’s wife, told a KP correspondent. “I called him the day before, he didn’t tell me anything about it.
Larisa Dmitrievna took this news very calmly.
In principle, he was ready for this. He has nothing to regret. He did everything he could do for the residents; he prepared the region for the summit. He is pleased that the region is currently thriving, and this is his merit. Muscovites are mistakenly convinced that the region is unhappy with Sergei Mikhailovich. And dissatisfaction with local authorities, in their opinion, reduces the authority of the central authorities.
The ex-governor’s wife is sure of one thing: her husband is tired. Three terms of governorship is quite a long term. In such a period of time, a politician, an official, and just an ordinary person will get tired.

DARKIN Sergey Mikhailovich born on December 9, 1963 in the seaside town of Bolshoi Kamen. Graduated from DVVIMU named after. Admiral Nevelsky with honors diploma. Of the 31 candidates for the post of governor of Primorye, he was registered as 20th. He attracted attention with a large-scale election campaign built exclusively on the positive. He promised to provide an average monthly salary for Primorye residents of 6 thousand rubles over the next 4 years.
Married for the second time (divorced from the daughter of the former first secretary of the Primorsky Regional Committee of the CPSU Anatoly Golovizin, Irina). Has two daughters. The wife is an actress of the regional drama theater Larisa Belobrova.
Almost four years later, on January 28, 2005, Putin supported his candidacy, submitting it for consideration by deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the region.
Dmitry Medvedev did the same in 2011. (“Sergei Darkin was left as governor for a third term”)
We conducted this interview a week ago. Then Sergei Mikhailovich was full of plans, answering a question about the possibility of leaving his post, he said that he had not finished everything yet. But he asked me not to publish the text until he went on a business trip to Moscow... Here are some quotes,
- Sergei Mikhailovich, today is Saturday. Most people have a day off. And you are in your office. Why not at home, not near your family? When is your day off?- On Sunday. - So, will you rest tomorrow?- No, tomorrow I’m going to Nakhodka in the morning. We need to see how things are going in the Vostochny port, we want to build two new factories there. And in Wrangel, several houses have no water, because there were abnormal colds, and the river from where the water flows into the water intake was frozen. I want to see for myself how I can help people. - Lately you have begun to travel a lot around the region. Are there any problems there too?“I go to the region to understand what exactly and in which areas needs to be done for their development. Preparations for the APEC summit, which we are holding in September, are ending. And after the summit, decent money is released and new places for investment must be prepared. There is a second purpose of travel. Starting this year, we have accepted the entire healthcare system of Primorye into the regional budget. I look at the condition of the hospitals. In recent years, I have devoted a lot of time to preparing for the APEC summit and, unfortunately, I probably did not pay enough attention to the regions of the region. I would like to apologize to the residents of Vladivostok for the inconvenience that we created due to preparations for the APEC summit. Construction began virtually simultaneously throughout the city. And these are dug up roads and sidewalks. But they succeeded in relocating 90 kilometers of sewer networks. Before this, there were two cities in the country that did not have sewerage systems - Vladivostok and Sochi. I am convinced that the younger generation should receive the highest quality higher education. In Primorye there are conditions for this. The campus, which was built on Russky Island on behalf of the government, is actually ready to accept students. Far Eastern Federal University, without false modesty, has every chance of being called the best educational institution in the country. - You can’t dispute the scale of FEFU. Where can we get several thousand potential students? Who will study at FEFU?- Our children will study. Specifically, I really want my youngest daughter to go there after school.
- Sergei Mikhailovich, you are a wealthy man, and so is your wife. You can pay for your daughter’s studies at Cambridge or Oxford...- One of my eldest daughters is an excellent lawyer, the other is an excellent financier. Both studied at Russian universities. I am deeply convinced that a person should receive higher education, at least the first one, in his homeland. Our family is always going to live in Russia, and therefore the basic education for our children, as my wife and I decided, is also Russian. Many of my friends had children who studied abroad. And then, when they arrived home, they could not find themselves. - Sergei Mikhailovich, are you a motorist?- Certainly. - And what kind of car do you have?- Now I drive a Range Rover. - Are you stuck in traffic jams?- Of course, like everyone else. - Sergei Mikhailovich, in the recent elections the party in power in our region did not show the best results in the country. Why do you think our people voted the way they did?- Firstly, the party in power took an absolute majority of votes when compared with its closest competitors. And the results in Primorye... I don’t deny that we have mistakes in our work, and we are ready to answer for them. But I think that Primorye residents simply know little about the government - what exactly it does, what its activities are aimed at. Although I have always adhered to the principle “The less they say about power, the better it works.” But the election results showed that it is necessary to strengthen the ideological component and democratic values. - Sergei Mikhailovich, you have just come from the political rally “Primorye - for stability.” What was your impression of the event? How's the porridge? (those gathered at the rally were treated to soldiers' porridge and hot tea - Ed.)- Unfortunately, I didn’t try the porridge because I was on a diet. And the tea was good. I liked that a lot of people came. They were in a positive and friendly mood. - What kind of diet do you have? For women, how to lose weight is a favorite topic. They won't forgive me if I don't find out your recipe.- The diet is not complicated. Eat meat, fish and lose weight (smiles). I won't say more. I can email you the details. - About work. No matter how many years you have led the region, rumors periodically remove you from your post for so many years. Are you looking for a new place?- All these years I worked honestly, worked as a team. I have my own tasks that I have set for the development of the region, I believe that I have already managed to achieve a lot in this direction and I want to complete what I started. And whatever decision the government makes regarding me, I am ready to accept it. I've always talked about this. I graduated from the Higher Naval School, so discipline is paramount.
AND AT THIS TIME
Of course, Sergei Mikhailovich was remembered by Primorye residents for many of his actions. After all, 11 years of rule is a very long time. Under Darkin, the supply of electricity and water somehow improved: Primorye residents remember the turbulent late 90s, when there were regular interruptions. It was under Sergei Mikhailovich that Primorye began to prepare for the APEC 2012 summit, and he, by the way, influenced the decision on its location. The roads in the region have become much better. In addition, this year the 10th anniversary film festival “Pacific Meridians” was supposed to take place, which was created by Governor Sergei Darkin.
But Sergei Mikhailovich is also remembered for several scandals.

An excerpt characterizing Darkin, Sergei Mikhailovich
Prince Andrei stayed in Brünn with his friend, the Russian diplomat Bilibin.“Ah, dear prince, there is no nicer guest,” said Bilibin, going out to meet Prince Andrei. - Franz, the prince’s things are in my bedroom! - he turned to the servant who was seeing Bolkonsky off. - What, a harbinger of victory? Wonderful. And I’m sitting sick, as you can see.
Prince Andrei, having washed and dressed, went out to the diplomat’s luxurious office and sat down to the prepared dinner. Bilibin calmly sat down by the fireplace.
Prince Andrei, not only after his journey, but also after the entire campaign, during which he was deprived of all the comforts of purity and grace of life, experienced a pleasant feeling of relaxation among those luxurious living conditions to which he had become accustomed since childhood. In addition, after the Austrian reception, he was pleased to talk, at least not in Russian (they spoke French), but with a Russian person who, he assumed, shared the general Russian disgust (now especially vividly felt) for the Austrians.
Bilibin was a man of about thirty-five, single, in the same company as Prince Andrei. They knew each other back in St. Petersburg, but they became even closer on Prince Andrei’s last visit to Vienna together with Kutuzov. Just as Prince Andrei was a young man who promised to go far in the military field, so, and even more, did Bilibin promise in the diplomatic field. He was still a young man, but no longer a young diplomat, since he began serving at the age of sixteen, was in Paris, in Copenhagen, and now occupied a rather significant position in Vienna. Both the Chancellor and our envoy in Vienna knew him and valued him. He was not one of that large number of diplomats who are required to have only negative merits, not do well-known things and speak French in order to be very good diplomats; he was one of those diplomats who love and know how to work, and, despite his laziness, he sometimes spent the night at his desk. He worked equally well, no matter what the nature of the work was. He was not interested in the question “why?”, but in the question “how?”. What the diplomatic matter was, he didn’t care; but to draw up a circular, memorandum or report skillfully, accurately and gracefully - he found great pleasure in this. Bilibin's merits were valued, in addition to his written works, also by his art of addressing and speaking in higher spheres.
Bilibin loved conversation just as he loved work, only when the conversation could be elegantly witty. In society, he constantly waited for an opportunity to say something remarkable and entered into conversation only under these conditions. Bilibin's conversation was constantly peppered with original witty, complete phrases of general interest.
These phrases were produced in Bilibin’s internal laboratory, as if on purpose, of a portable nature, so that insignificant secular people could conveniently remember them and transfer them from living rooms to living rooms. And indeed, les mots de Bilibine se colportaient dans les salons de Vienne, [Bilibin’s reviews were distributed throughout Viennese drawing rooms] and often had an influence on so-called important matters.
His thin, emaciated, yellowish face was all covered with large wrinkles, which always seemed as cleanly and diligently washed, like fingertips after a bath. The movements of these wrinkles constituted the main play of his physiognomy. Now his forehead wrinkled in wide folds, his eyebrows rose upward, now his eyebrows went down, and large wrinkles formed on his cheeks. The deep-set, small eyes always looked straight and cheerful.
“Well, now tell us your exploits,” he said.
Bolkonsky, in the most modest way, without ever mentioning himself, told the story and the reception of the Minister of War.
“Ils m"ont recu avec ma nouvelle, comme un chien dans un jeu de quilles, [They accepted me with this news, as they accept a dog when it interferes with a game of skittles,] he concluded.
Bilibin grinned and loosened the folds of his skin.
“Cependant, mon cher,” he said, examining his nail from afar and picking up the skin above his left eye, “malgre la haute estime que je professe pour le Orthodox Russian army, j"avoue que votre victoire n"est pas des plus victorieuses. [However, my dear, with all due respect to the Orthodox Russian army, I believe that your victory is not the most brilliant.]
He continued in the same way in French, pronouncing in Russian only those words that he contemptuously wanted to emphasize.
- How? You with all your weight fell upon the unfortunate Mortier with one division, and this Mortier leaves between your hands? Where is the victory?
“However, seriously speaking,” answered Prince Andrei, “we can still say without boasting that this is a little better than Ulm...
- Why didn’t you take us one, at least one marshal?
– Because not everything is done as expected, and not as regularly as at the parade. We expected, as I told you, to reach the rear by seven o'clock in the morning, but did not arrive at five in the evening.
- Why didn’t you come at seven o’clock in the morning? “You should have come at seven o’clock in the morning,” Bilibin said smiling, “you should have come at seven o’clock in the morning.”
– Why didn’t you convince Bonaparte through diplomatic means that it was better for him to leave Genoa? – Prince Andrei said in the same tone.
“I know,” Bilibin interrupted, “you think it’s very easy to take marshals while sitting on the sofa in front of the fireplace.” This is true, but still, why didn’t you take him? And do not be surprised that not only the Minister of War, but also the August Emperor and King Franz will not be very happy with your victory; and I, the unfortunate secretary of the Russian embassy, do not feel any need to give my Franz a thaler as a sign of joy and let him go with his Liebchen [sweetheart] to the Prater... True, there is no Prater here.
He looked straight at Prince Andrei and suddenly pulled the collected skin off his forehead.
“Now it’s my turn to ask you why, my dear,” said Bolkonsky. “I confess to you that I don’t understand, maybe there are diplomatic subtleties here that are beyond my weak mind, but I don’t understand: Mack is losing an entire army, Archduke Ferdinand and Archduke Charles do not show any signs of life and make mistakes after mistakes, finally, alone Kutuzov wins a real victory, destroys the charme [charm] of the French, and the Minister of War is not even interested in knowing the details.
“That’s exactly why, my dear.” Voyez vous, mon cher: [You see, my dear:] hurray! for the Tsar, for Rus', for the faith! Tout ca est bel et bon, [all this is fine and good,] but what do we, I say, the Austrian court, care about your victories? Bring us your good news about the victory of Archduke Charles or Ferdinand - un archiduc vaut l "autre, [one Archduke is worth another,] as you know - even over a company of Bonaparte’s fire brigade, that’s another matter, we’ll thunder into the cannons. Otherwise this , as if on purpose, can only tease us. Archduke Charles does nothing, Archduke Ferdinand is covered in shame, you abandon Vienna, you no longer defend, comme si vous nous disiez: [as if you told us:] God is with us, and God is with us. you, with your capital. One general, whom we all loved, Shmit: you bring him under the bullet and congratulate us on the victory!... Agree that it is impossible to think of anything more irritating than the news that you bring C "est comme un fait expres, Comme un fait expres. [This is as if on purpose, as if on purpose.] Besides, well, if you had definitely won a brilliant victory, even if Archduke Charles had won, what would it have changed in the general course of affairs? It is too late now that Vienna is occupied by French troops.
-How busy are you? Is Vienna busy?
“Not only is she busy, but Bonaparte is in Schönbrunn, and the count, our dear Count Vrbna, goes to him for orders.”
Bolkonsky, after the fatigue and impressions of the journey, the reception, and especially after dinner, felt that he did not understand the full meaning of the words he heard.
“Count Lichtenfels was here this morning,” Bilibin continued, “and showed me a letter in which the French parade in Vienna is described in detail. Le prince Murat et tout le tremblement... [Prince Murat and all that...] You see that your victory is not very joyful, and that you cannot be accepted as a savior...
- Really, it doesn’t matter to me, it doesn’t matter at all! - said Prince Andrey, beginning to understand that his news about the battle of Krems really had little importance in view of such events as the occupation of the capital of Austria. - How was Vienna taken? What about the bridge and the famous tete de pont [bridge fortification] and Prince Auersperg? “We had rumors that Prince Auersperg was defending Vienna,” he said.
“Prince Auersperg stands on this, our side, and protects us; I think it protects very poorly, but it still protects. And Vienna is on the other side. No, the bridge has not yet been taken and, I hope, will not be taken, because it is mined and they have ordered it to be blown up. Otherwise, we would have been in the mountains of Bohemia long ago, and you and your army would have spent a bad quarter of an hour between two fires.
“But this still does not mean that the campaign is over,” said Prince Andrei.
- And I think it’s over. And so the big caps here think, but they don’t dare say it. It will be what I said at the beginning of the campaign, that it is not your echauffouree de Durenstein, [the Durenstein skirmish] that gunpowder will decide the matter, but those who invented it,” said Bilibin, repeating one of his mots [words], loosening his skin on the forehead and pausing. – The only question is what the Berlin meeting of Emperor Alexander with the Prussian king will say. If Prussia enters into an alliance, on forcera la main a l "Autriche, [they force Austria] and there will be war. If not, then the only question is to agree on where to draw up the initial articles of the new Campo Formio. [Campo Formio.]
– But what extraordinary genius! - Prince Andrei suddenly cried out, squeezing his small hand and hitting the table with it. - And what happiness is this man!
- Buonaparte? [Buonaparte?] - Bilibin said questioningly, wrinkling his forehead and thereby making it felt that now there would be an un mot [word]. - Bu onaparte? - he said, emphasizing especially the u. “I think, however, that now that he is prescribing the laws of Austria from Schönbrunn, il faut lui faire grace de l"u [we must rid him of i.] I decisively make an innovation and call it Bonaparte tout court [simply Bonaparte].

In October 2005, the Leninsky District Court of Vladivostok satisfied the governor’s claim
In September 2007, in the program “Saturday Evening with Vladimir Solovyov,” in which, in particular, ex-prosecutor of the Primorsky Territory Alexander Anikin took part, State Duma deputy Alexander Khinshtein directly stated to Anikin: “What kind of fight against corruption can we talk about if you have in the region, the first in Russia, according to the new law, Sergei Darkin, better known as Seryoga Shepelyavy, was appointed governor...?

An excerpt characterizing Darkin, Sergei Mikhailovich
And again everything turned upside down, “landing” us in some crazy-bright “parrot” world... in which thousands of birds screamed wildly and this abnormal cacophony made our heads spin.- Oh! – Stella laughed loudly, “not like that!”
And immediately there was a pleasant silence... We played around together for a long time, now alternately creating funny, cheerful, fairy-tale worlds, which really turned out to be quite easy. I couldn’t tear myself away from all this unearthly beauty and from the crystal-clear, amazing girl Stella, who carried a warm and joyful light within her, and with whom I sincerely wanted to stay close forever...
But real life, unfortunately, called me back to “sink to Earth” and I had to say goodbye, not knowing whether I would ever be able to see her again, even for a moment.
Stella looked with her big, round eyes, as if wanting and not daring to ask something... Then I decided to help her:
– Do you want me to come again? – I asked with hidden hope.
Her funny face again shone with all shades of joy:
– Are you really, really going to come?! – she squealed happily.
“I really, really will come...” I firmly promised...
The days, loaded to the brim with everyday worries, turned into weeks, and I still could not find free time to visit my sweet little friend. I thought about her almost every day and swore to myself that tomorrow I would definitely find time to “unwind my soul” for at least a couple of hours with this wonderful, bright little man... And also another, very strange thought did not give me peace - very I wanted to introduce Stella’s grandmother to my no less interesting and unusual grandmother... For some inexplicable reason, I was sure that both of these wonderful women would definitely find something to talk about...
So, finally, one fine day I suddenly decided that I’d stop putting everything off “for tomorrow” and, although I wasn’t at all sure that Stella’s grandmother would be there today, I decided that it would be wonderful if today I finally visited I’ll introduce my new girlfriend, and if I’m lucky, I’ll introduce our dear grandmothers to each other.
Some strange force literally pushed me out of the house, as if someone from afar was very softly and, at the same time, very persistently mentally calling me.
I quietly approached my grandmother and, as usual, began to hover around her, trying to figure out how best to present all this to her.
“Well, shall we go or something?” the grandmother asked calmly.
I stared at her dumbfounded, not understanding how she could find out that I was even going somewhere?!
Grandmother smiled slyly and, as if nothing had happened, asked:
“What, don’t you want to walk with me?”
In my heart, outraged by such an unceremonious invasion into my “private mental world,” I decided to “test” my grandmother.
- Well, of course I want to! – I exclaimed joyfully, and without saying where we would go, I headed towards the door.
– Take a sweater, we’ll be back late – it’ll be cool! – the grandmother shouted after him.
I couldn't stand it any longer...
- And how do you know where we are going?! – I ruffled my feathers like a frozen sparrow and muttered offendedly.
“It’s all written all over your face,” the grandmother smiled.
Of course, it wasn’t written on my face, but I would give a lot to find out how she always knew everything so confidently when it came to me?
A few minutes later we were already stomping together towards the forest, enthusiastically chatting about the most diverse and incredible stories, which she, naturally, knew much more than I did, and this was one of the reasons why I loved walking with her so much.
It was just the two of us, and there was no need to be afraid that someone would overhear and someone might not like what we were talking about.
Grandmother very easily accepted all my oddities and was never afraid of anything; and sometimes, if she saw that I was completely “lost” in something, she gave me advice to help me get out of this or that undesirable situation, but most often she simply observed how I reacted to life’s difficulties, which had already become permanent, without finally came across on my “spiked” path. Lately it has begun to seem to me that my grandmother is just waiting for something new to come across, in order to see if I have matured at least a heel, or if I am still “stuck away” in my “happy childhood”, not wanting to get out of the short nursery shirts. But even for her “cruel” behavior, I loved her very much and tried to take advantage of every convenient moment to spend time with her as often as possible.
The forest greeted us with the welcoming rustle of golden autumn leaves. The weather was magnificent, and one could hope that my new friend, by “luck,” would also be there.
I picked a small bouquet of some modest autumn flowers that still remained, and a few minutes later we were already next to the cemetery, at the gate of which... in the same place sat the same miniature sweet old lady...
- And I already thought I couldn’t wait for you! – she greeted joyfully.
My jaw literally dropped from such surprise, and at that moment I apparently looked rather stupid, because the old woman, laughing cheerfully, came up to us and affectionately patted me on the cheek.
- Well, you go, honey, Stella has already been waiting for you. And we'll sit here for a while...
I didn’t even have time to ask how I would get to the same Stella, when everything disappeared again somewhere, and I found myself in the already familiar world of Stella’s wild imagination, sparkling and shimmering with all the colors of the rainbow, and, without having time to take a better look around, I immediately I heard an enthusiastic voice:
- Oh, how good it is that you came! And I waited and waited!..
The girl flew up to me like a whirlwind and plopped a little red “dragon” right into my arms... I recoiled in surprise, but immediately laughed cheerfully, because it was the funniest and funniest creature in the world!..
“The little dragon,” if you can call him that, bulged his delicate pink belly and hissed at me threateningly, apparently hoping very much to scare me in this way. But when he saw that no one was going to be scared here, he calmly settled down on my lap and began to snore peacefully, showing how good he is and how much he should be loved...
I asked Stella what its name was and how long ago she created it.
- Oh, I haven’t even figured out what to call you yet! And he appeared right now! Do you really like him? – the girl chirped cheerfully, and I felt that she was pleased to see me again.
- This is for you! – she suddenly said. - He will live with you.
The little dragon funnyly stretched out its spiky muzzle, apparently deciding to see if I had anything interesting... And suddenly licked me right on the nose! Stella squealed with delight and was clearly very pleased with her creation.
“Well, okay,” I agreed, “while I’m here, he can be with me.”
“Aren’t you going to take him with you?” – Stella was surprised.
And then I realized that she apparently doesn’t know at all that we are “different” and that we no longer live in the same world. Most likely, the grandmother, in order to feel sorry for her, did not tell the girl the whole truth, and she sincerely thought that this was exactly the same world in which she had previously lived, with the only difference being that now she could still create her own world.. .
I knew for sure that I didn’t want to be the one to tell this little trusting girl what her life was really like today. She was content and happy in this “her” fantastic reality, and I mentally swore to myself that I would never and never be the one who would destroy this fairy-tale world of hers. I just couldn’t understand how my grandmother explained the sudden disappearance of her entire family and, in general, everything in which she was now living?..
“You see,” I said with a slight hesitation, smiling, “where I live, dragons are not very popular...
- So no one will see him! – the little girl chirped cheerfully.
A weight had just been lifted off my shoulders!.. I hated lying or trying to get out, and especially in front of such a pure little person as Stella was. It turned out that she understood everything perfectly and somehow managed to combine the joy of creation and the sadness of losing her family.
– And I finally found a friend here! – the little girl declared victoriously.
- Oh, well?.. Will you ever introduce me to him? – I was surprised.
She nodded her fluffy red head amusingly and squinted slyly.
- Do you want it right now? – I felt that she was literally “fidgeting” in place, unable to contain her impatience any longer.
– Are you sure that he will want to come? – I was wary.
Not because I was afraid or embarrassed of anyone, I just didn’t have the habit of bothering people without a particularly important reason, and I wasn’t sure that right now this reason was serious... But Stella was apparently into it I’m absolutely sure, because literally a split second later a man appeared next to us.
It was a very sad knight... Yes, yes, exactly a knight!.. And I was very surprised that even in this “other” world, where he could “put on” any energy “clothes”, he still did not parted with his stern knightly guise, in which he still, apparently, remembered himself very well... And for some reason I thought that he must have had some very serious reasons for this, if even after so many years he I didn’t want to part with this look.
Usually, when people die, for the first time after their death, their essences always look exactly as they looked at the moment of their physical death. Apparently, the enormous shock and wild fear of the unknown are great enough not to add any additional stress to this. When time passes (usually after a year), the essences of old and elderly people gradually begin to look young and become exactly the same as they were in the best years of their youth. Well, the untimely dead babies suddenly “grow up”, as if “catching up” with their unlived years, and become somewhat similar to their essences, as they were when they entered the bodies of these unfortunate people who died too early, or from some kind of disease untimely deceased children, with the only difference that some of them “add” a little in development, if during their short years lived in the physical body they were lucky enough... And much later, each essence changes, depending on how she continues to live in the “new” world.
