World of tank Chinese branch. Chinese tank development branch in World of tanks
Chinese tanks appeared in WoT with the release of update 0.8.3. The Chinese school of tank building was greatly influenced by Soviet developments, and many combat vehicles are actually analogues of USSR tanks. Later Chinese armored vehicles are their own designs, but based on basic Soviet designs.
For these reasons most Chinese tanks have many features of Soviet combat vehicles. These are powerful weapons that are not distinguished by excellent accuracy, and armor located at rational angles of inclination. The top Chinese tanks were the medium 121 and the heavy 113.

Is it worth downloading Chinese tanks in World of tanks?
The style of playing on Chinese tanks is in many ways similar to playing on Soviet combat vehicles. If you successfully play on USSR tanks, then you can show your class on Chinese ones.
WoT newbies They can start leveling up precisely from the Chinese development branch; high one-time damage and good armor will allow them to gain quite a bit of experience even in not the most successful battles.
Hello everyone, today I would like to talk about the Chinese branch of heavy tanks in World of Tanks. It came out not so long ago and there are some pretty interesting cars in it.
Many people say that Chinese tanks are, to put it mildly, not very good, they are completely copying the Soviet line and they don’t have their own flavor. But this is far from true, I was convinced of this from personal experience when leveling up Chinese tanks starting from level 7 of the TT IS-2. Yes, undoubtedly the Chinese branch took a lot from the Soviet one, but it has its advantages and disadvantages.
The main advantage of the Chinese is excellent speed. Even with pre-top engines, the cars drive very fast compared to their Soviet counterparts.
The second point is a very good alpha strike, which can generally be considered one of the main and important characteristics in the game, since often in a shootout only one-time damage is important, and the rate of fire still fades into the background.
And, of course, it is worth noting the good angles of the armor, which, with the proper skill, gives a good chance of a rebound or non-penetration.
On average, the armor of tanks is quite mediocre; there are no tanks similar to the E75, Maus, or E100.
Let's look at the first heavy tank of the Chinese branch - IS-2.
Of course, it reminds us of the well-known IP from the USSR branch, but in fact it is a modified copy of the late 50s. It has an excellent cannon, which has a penetration rate of 300mm with a premium shell! Such penetration is a real cheat in World of Tanks at level 7; the tank is able to easily penetrate level 9 and 10 tanks into the frontal projections. While upgrading this tank, I played with great pleasure, because even when you get into high-level battles, you don’t feel useless. Plus, of course, the huge damage of the gun, which knocks out an average of 390-450 damage.
At its level against T29, IS, Tiger, Caernarvon, the tank looks very good. Only T29 can compete for championship, as it has good chances in a battle with a high level enemy due to the peculiarity of the tower.
The IS-2 is a very fast tank, picks up speed well, and maintains it on various types of terrain. I advise you to pump out the top engine on it, this will help you in the future game 110. Since the level of battles in the IS-2 is still quite low. Gaining experience on it will be easier and faster than on 110 due to the penetration of 300mm premium.
Looking at the frontal armor of the tank visually, it seems that it is very ricocheting, but there is one nuance. The lower frontal part of the tank is very weak, so for better protection always try to hide it, use any folds in the terrain, junk on maps, fences, cars, etc. to shelter a weak NLD.
The tank has excellent mobility, just like the IS-2 maintains speed on any terrain. In terms of speed, it slightly outperforms the IS-3 and is significantly superior to the Royal Tiger, T32. Quite a ricochet tower, which is not so easy to penetrate.
The rate of fire is quite decent and is 6 rounds per minute for the top gun.
In general, I would not say that the tank stands out much among its peers, such as the IS-2. But it is a fairly balanced tank, has good driving performance, and decent damage at its level.
Waiting for us at level 9 of the Chinese branch WZ-111 model 1-4, very interesting car.
The tank, at first glance, is very similar to the Soviet IS-8, but the differences are quite significant.
The car has truly excellent driving characteristics, I didn’t even bother to upgrade the top engine, driving it with an engine from lvl 110 8, which is quite enough to occupy any position.
I downloaded this tank from stock and did not open the top gun for free experience. To be honest, it’s quite difficult to level up; nevertheless, a level 8 gun is rather weak for battles where level nine ends up. Still, at the very least I gained 100 thousand experience to open the turret, tracks and top gun.
This is where the tank showed its full potential; the top gun is simply beautiful. The average damage of a weapon is 490, and the maximum possible value is as much as 640.
If the enemy is poorly aware of the characteristics of your barrel, then he begins to suffer greatly. More than once there were moments when a level 10 IS-7, T110E5, or E100 caused damage of 560-600. And if the enemy also ignores you, and there is an opportunity to shoot with impunity, then it’s just a joke.
However, we should not forget that the armor of the tank still leaves much to be desired; this is far from an E75, or at least an M103, almost all of us can get through.
In general, I completed this level 9 tank in one breath, a lot of fun and positive emotions. We streamed almost the entire process of pumping up the China branch and many could see everything live on Aces_TV. The WZ-111 model 1-4 is a very fast and damage-damaging tank; in terms of game comfort, I would put it on the same level as the German E75 and the British Conqueror.
And of course, the crown of Chinese tank building, the level 10 tank - 113
!
Many have said and continue to say that this is more of an overgrown ST than a regular TT in its direct version. Of course, they are right in some ways, the 113 does not have good enough armor, but rather rational armor angles, excellent driving performance and a fairly good weapon.
Playing at 113 in World of Tanks should be done carefully and thoughtfully. Although the tank has a decent HP reserve and high speed, it’s not worth going straight into the thick of things.
The tank has a fairly low level of tank armor and only rational tilt angles save it.
It should be noted that the NLD model 113 is quite weak, so I highly recommend trying to hide it. We use the folds of the terrain to the maximum, various garbage on the maps, neutral cars, etc.
The frontal armor plate has only 120mm of armor, but it is located at an angle of 68 degrees, which allows you to catch constant ricochets and non-penetration by substituting an angle. The turret of the 113 tank is also quite decent and allows you to tank if necessary.
The tank's gun is quite good, 5.5 rounds per minute, decent aiming and dispersion. In some situations, there may not be enough penetration because it only has 257 regular BBs, but here gold comes to our aid and we already see a figure of 400 penetration, which is enough for any tank in the game.
In general, the tank is similar to the IS-7, of course, and I highly recommend that all fans of the Soviet tank get the 113 in their hangar. But there are a number of differences. The IS-7 has slightly better armor, and the Chinese are faster and more maneuverable.
At 113, you can safely support the ST in the attack, or simply occupy any positions on the map. The main thing to remember when choosing a position is to evaluate how well it is covered by artillery and its type.
The tank feels best in urban maps: Ensk, Khimki, Ruinberg, where Artillery cannot inflict significant damage. And also the tank’s UVN allows you to work without any inconvenience.
With update 8.1, British tanks appeared in the game, but the developers do not stop there, and in update 8.2 we again meet new equipment. Now this is a line of Chinese cars. Here we are waiting for truly unusual tanks with a complicated history of their creation. However, let's not get ahead of ourselves. The tank industry in China developed in a rather unusual way. Chinese engineers independently developed original armored vehicles based on licensed samples purchased from other countries. In addition, the Soviet Union had the greatest influence on industry in China in general and on tank building in particular. Therefore, it is not surprising that Chinese tanks have much in common with Soviet vehicles.
The first-born of Chinese tank building was, in fact, a . The Chinese Republic, just recovering from the Civil War, received drawings and tank production technology from the friendly USSR; based on this model, Chinese engineers developed their own vehicles. They were supposed to surpass the Soviet T34-85, which were in service with the Chinese army at that time, and compete with the main tanks of the USSR and T10. Thus, Chinese design thought gradually developed in the creation of its own medium and heavy tanks with anti-ballistic armor. This whole process can be followed in. It starts with cars purchased from other countries or received as trophies. At the middle levels of the branch there are tanks that were provided by the Soviet Union, or built according to Soviet drawings. And finally, at the highest levels, original Chinese developments are presented, which have no analogues in other countries and were created taking into account the Soviet approach to tank building.
One of the features of the Chinese line is the presence of light tanks up to level 8 inclusive. Vehicles of this type have appeared in the game before, but unlike them, they do not use a drum-based automatic loader, thus their firepower is more evenly distributed over time, which, taking into account their high mobility, expands the possibilities of using the vehicles in battle. Medium tanks will surprise you with high damage. This picture can already be observed on the Soviet tank of the 8th level with the 122 mm D25T gun, however, on Chinese medium tanks such guns appeared later, so they are more effective and convenient to use.
All Chinese tanks in the game are divided into 4 large groups:
Group 1 is borrowed vehicles, it includes tanks purchased, received from allies and captured in battles, that is, tanks that were not produced in China at that time. This group of tanks covers the first 7 levels. The names of these tanks include or even completely repeat the names of the originals.
Group 2 is design vehicles and prototypes. Tanks of this group are easy to recognize by their names, which consist of digital designations.
Group 3 presents tanks sent for state testing; a distinctive feature of such tanks is two letters VZ added to the digital index in the name.
And finally, in group 4 there are tanks that entered service with the Chinese army; their names begin with the word Type.
Low-level Chinese tanks are already well known to players from branches of other countries. The only innovation at low levels will be the Type 25-97 ChiHau, with which you can get acquainted with the example of Japanese tank building. At the 5th and 6th levels, tanks similar to the Soviet T34 and T34-85 await us. The most interesting things begin for light tanks at level 6, where original Chinese designs appear for medium and heavy tanks at level 7. Here appear STs that have gone from the T34-85 to the T54 analogue, as well as those that have a pedigree from the IS-2 and are machines equivalent to the Soviet IS-8, and in some ways even superior to it. The branch of light tanks in China is represented by tanks with a characteristic low silhouette, reminiscent of the T54 from a distance. These tanks have excellent technical characteristics and good guns, which are practically not inferior to similar guns on medium tanks. Starting from level 7, Chinese light vehicles can carry a stabilizer, but they also have disadvantages, namely low weight and thin armor, similar to . A distinctive feature of Chinese medium tanks is the presence of a gun with high base damage, as well as cast ricochet turrets with very good armor.
Let's look at medium tanks of the 9th and 10th tiers as illustrative examples.
At the 9th level there is a tank; in the game it represents various options for design developments for upgrading the Type59 tank. The top configuration of this tank is notable for its Tier 10 heavy tank gun, which gives it the highest armor penetration and damage of all its classmates, with the exception of the Centurion. However, these excellent characteristics are balanced by such shortcomings of the tank as low mobility and maneuverability, as well as slow aiming and small vertical aiming angles of the gun.
Let's move on to the crowning achievement of the development of Chinese medium tanks. is a prototype of a medium tank intended to replace the Type59. It is distinguished from previous vehicles by enhanced turret armor and even more powerful weapons. It is equipped with perhaps the most powerful of all Chinese guns presented in the game - a complete analogue of the Soviet M62T2 gun. In terms of armor penetration, it is not inferior to other guns of tier 9 medium tanks, while at the same time featuring higher one-time damage. It should be noted, however, that as a result of using such weapons, the tank becomes slightly overloaded, which does not have the best effect on its dynamics. China's high-level medium tanks are a unique combination of TTs, and accordingly, their characteristic disadvantages are poor dynamics and small vertical aiming angles. This means that it will be more difficult for the game to take advantage of the terrain features. The exception is small bumps and stones, precisely due to the low silhouette of the Chinese top-end STs. For the rest, you will have to pay attention to artificial shelters: rubble, piles of garbage and the remains of damaged armored vehicles.
Among heavy tanks, vehicles of the 8th and 10th levels are perhaps of greatest interest to players. For example, at the 8th level there is the 110 model, which is a modernization of the IS-2 with more powerful armor and a progressive pike-nose hull shape. This shape is a distinctive feature of Chinese heavy tanks, and as a result we get the most powerful armor in the front projection compared to its classmates. The weak point of the tank, however, is its long and rather vulnerable sides. It should also be noted that it is equipped with a weapon more typical of medium tanks. The top heavy tank for the middle line is the 5A model. This is the third heavy tank of level 10, which has the ability to upgrade in game. And unlike, players will enjoy both of his weapons. One of them is a slightly weakened analogue of the M62T2, similar to the armament of a tier 9 medium tank. The second gun is the Chinese answer to the C70 and has comparable damage and other characteristics to this gun, but slightly less armor penetration. The armor of the tank is similar to that of the IS-8, and the style of play is similar to that of the IS-8. The vehicle is actually the result of the development of mobile heavy tanks, which combined the design features of both TT and ST.

In one of the updates to the popular game, a Chinese branch of tanks appeared in World of Tanks. Until recently, players could participate in battles using only premium Chinese vehicles.
Fans of this type of combat vehicle may notice a great similarity between the models of Soviet and Chinese tank construction. When trying to externally copy tank models, Chinese vehicles mainly had advantages, but there were also disadvantages.
Therefore, with the advent of such a set of new Chinese combat vehicles, many questions arise among players whether it is worth downloading and installing updates.
This branch presents vehicles of several classes according to their severity:
Lightweight - fairly fast and maneuverable armored vehicles, fairly reliable hull armor with which the vehicle is equipped on all sides, the power of the weapons allows for more accurate and powerful strikes;
Medium - similar to their Soviet brothers in almost all respects. The presence of a large-caliber gun with fairly good armor penetration gives it some advantage over other models. Although shortcomings in vertical guidance do not make it possible to realize the full power of these machines;
Heavy Chinese vehicles do not have particularly powerful armor, so they are better as support for vehicles of a lighter class. Good maneuverability, weapon power and endurance of the vehicle do not allow these vehicles to be completely abandoned.
Among Chinese equipment you can find prototypes, design and armored vehicles
But the advantages among such machines will attract the attention of any shooter. After all, they have a weapon that allows them to fire a shot more accurately, while inflicting maximum damage to the enemy by penetrating the hull. The body of the armored Chinese vehicles itself is made on a slope, which, when hit by shells from the enemy, will cause them to ricochet and reduce the impact force.
Such tanks are very convenient to use in battles at different distances due to the special design of the turret.
It can be distinguished by a number of advantages:
Additional armor reinforcement;
the streamlined shape makes it difficult for the enemy to hit it.
Compared to Soviet combat vehicles, the Chinese branch of tanks in World of Tanks pick up speed very quickly, are more maneuverable, and the vehicle itself is much lighter. Although there are limitations in viewing range and limitations in vertical aiming.
