Development branch of the USSR in war thunder. War Thunder: American vehicle branch
Every player who just starts playing immediately thinks about how to quickly level up the branch and reach the level of serious tanks. This is especially true for the USSR branch, which initially invites the player to play with tanks that only advanced historians have heard of, and such legends as the T-34, KV-2, IS-3 and others are so far away that it seems possible to achieve them in just a few months of play. In reality, this is not the case, because despite the fact that developing the USSR branch is somewhat more difficult and slower than the branches of other countries, following a certain technology, it will not be difficult to do it quickly enough. Thus, with active actions, in 2-4 weeks you will be able to upgrade all the branches of tanks that interest you and reach the desired level V.
In this guide, we will consider leveling up without purchasing any premium tanks, as well as investing real money to purchase research points. However, the guide is intended for beginners, so the first sections of the article will discuss obtaining a premium tank, which is given for completing training missions.
Let's start a war
It’s worth noting right away that the development of the USSR branch is much faster for those people who initially started playing for this country. If you initially chose some other country, and only then decided to fight with domestic tanks, then in this case you are initially given the T-26, which could be called the worst tank with a combat rating of 1.0-1.3 until, of course, they introduced American tanks. When driving the T-26, you can immediately notice that it is an incredibly slow and clumsy tank, which takes a very long time to accelerate, but at the same time instantly loses its speed at the slightest attempt to change the trajectory. The only advantage of the T-26 is that it is capable of destroying the enemy with a single shot. Considering the characteristics of the tank, the only relevant solution for you is to simply look for a point on each individual map from which you can conduct targeted fire, like in a shooting gallery.
The slowness of leveling up the branch for people who initially started for other countries is manifested in the fact that they do not receive the premium T-26, for activity on which the player receives much more funds and research points compared to standard tanks.
The main tactics of action are based on collecting the most effective set of equipment for a certain combat rating and moving to new branches only after mastering the required set. After all, the most common mistake made by beginners is to develop a certain branch as quickly as possible to get the desired tank.
Many players believe that battles with new tanks will open only after the player starts driving Tier II tanks, but in reality, War Thunder has been using the technology of the so-called “battle rating” for quite a long time, when the balancer selects opponents not in accordance with level of a certain equipment, but in accordance with its combat rating. Thus, for example, a common mistake of players is the desire to quickly get on the T-34 and try it out in action, but in fact, having only one T-34, and with it taking into battle only the T-50 and BT- 7, the player will be disappointed, because he will have to fight with people who have much more effective and developed equipment, equal to the combat rating of the T-34.
So, our initial rating is 1.0-1.3. After completing the training, we spend eagles to purchase a bonus badge for a premium T-26 so that the tank begins to earn the maximum it is capable of. We put the BT-7 first for development, since it is the fastest and most maneuverable tank in this category. Those people who simply cannot stand still and are tearing their hair out trying to control the clumsy T-26 will perceive the BT-7 as a gift from heaven. Enormous speed, almost instant acceleration, maneuverability and almost complete absence of loss of speed when cornering. A more powerful gun compared to the T-26 makes this tank undoubtedly one of the strongest, if not the most relevant in its combat rating. After you upgrade this tank, put it into battle and develop its maneuverability.
Now you have BT-7, premium and regular T-26 in your arsenal. We always take the BT-7 first in battles, no matter how much we want to leave it for last. Taking advantage of the speed advantages of this combat vehicle, always try to capture key points first, as they represent a very decent bonus to experience. The faster you arrive at a point, the greater the chances that you will capture it and the fewer allies you will have with whom you will have to share your experience. It is best not to go with the general crowd to the nearest point, but to choose those that few people are going to immediately capture, but which the enemy will not capture. The ideal option, which is very relevant in the early stages of the game, is to change the resurrection point. It often happens that changing the resurrection point even allows you to quickly capture those points that, in theory, your opponent should have captured, and this not only gives you a decent amount of experience, but is also a serious help for the victory of your team, as well as automatically provides you with a large number of goals for which you can gain more experience. The effect of surprise, which is especially common among beginners, guarantees that your ambush will be successful.
After you have upgraded the BT-7, we begin to spend research points on opening the T-60. Most likely, you will immediately be able to notice how much faster the T-60 is pumped up compared to how the BT-7 was pumped up, especially if you purchased a premium account, because this happens in just a couple of successful fights. Having upgraded the T-60, do not rush to put it in the front ranks, initially it is just a nightmare tank that practically cannot penetrate the enemy’s armor. Having an incredible rate of fire and magazine capacity, this tank simply has extremely low armor penetration, so its shots are more like trying to break through a wall. However, having upgraded armor-piercing cartridges, which significantly increase the armor penetration of this tank, it simply becomes a real death machine, as a result of which it is definitely worth upgrading. At first, you may have to try to capture points on this tank, because otherwise it will be very difficult to upgrade it. After you have upgraded to armor-piercing cartridges, the most interesting thing begins - the beginning of pumping up the equipment of the next levels.
We begin to exterminate
Finally, you have assembled your initial leveling kit:
- BT-7;
- Premium T-26;
- T-60.
You should select them in battle exactly in the sequence described above, because each tank has its own purpose and is taken to fulfill a specific purpose, so it is not recommended to violate technology.
At the beginning of any battle, we take the BT-7 as standard, which serves as a means for us to effectively capture enemy points. Do not forget that you are not playing alone and should not achieve personal goals, but do everything to ensure that your team wins. Often players don’t think about this and try to perceive War Thunder as an interesting shooting gallery with a nice picture, forgetting that a victory gives much more resources and experience compared to what a player can get in case of loss, even when he is very active yourself on the battlefield. Thus, capturing an enemy point on a BT-7 is a completely feasible task. Considering that your allies will rush in a crowd to the nearest point to the place of their resurrection, the initial score will be 2:0, and this is a very significant advantage. If you are a skilled player, be sure that in this way you will be able to win more than one battle almost on your own, and this will not remain forgotten, because the person who is in first place in the battle rating and has a gap of 1000 or even more points from second place is sure to will be remembered by the players. Having initially such a situation, almost all battles will take place with your team dominating 2:1 or 3:0 throughout the entire battle. Unfortunately, the balancer sometimes selects not the most skillful players and the scales, even in the most successful situation, can tip towards the enemy. But you always need to be mentally prepared for such moments and not get upset, because you will get your maximum with the exception of the bonus for winning, and this is also a lot.
After the BT-7 is destroyed, we take the T-26. There are quite a lot of targets, the gun is powerful. We try to go where there is a real opportunity to capture a point with a minimum of allies. If there are no such opportunities, we simply defend our point. On this tank you should get the maximum possible, because it is for killing opponents on it that you will receive the greatest reward. Considering the slowness of the tank and the almost complete unsuitability of fighting back-to-back, try to take some kind of sniper point when the targets are approximately 0.2-0.5 km away from you. The ideal option is to defend a point that no one is defending. Firstly, you will get more frags, since none of the allies are in the way, and the enemies, seeing the main forces of your team at another point, simply will not expect an ambush. The main thing is to wisely choose the point from which you should always see your opponents first. However, if possible, do not choose points from which the emerging enemies will have their backs turned to you, since it is much better to shoot at the sides due to the large selection of vulnerable points. By shooting at the sides, even missing a certain vulnerable point, you can easily accidentally hit another, which can also be lethal.
T-60 is chosen third. This is a basic combat vehicle that, when fully upgraded, is ideal for destroying enemy tanks at its combat rating, as it has a devastating weapon in terms of power/rate of fire ratio, and also has the ability to deliver an artillery strike, which is simply a killer combination. At the same time, the massive extermination of opponents gives us access to aircraft, which further increases the victory counter. Choosing this tank in the last stages of the game will allow you not to lose the efficiency of scoring points in battle, and your opponents will be weaker, since they often act from the opposite tactics, initially choosing a stronger vehicle and ending with a weak one.
The T-60 is not just a destructive vehicle, it is also the most undemanding tank, because with a rate of fire of 800 rounds per minute and a large ammunition load, you can simply hold down the shot button and aim at the enemy tank until it is destroyed. Be careful though, once the magazine runs out you'll have to wait a long time for it to recharge, so always expect to have to hide. Do not fight in open areas and always make sure that, after firing a full magazine, regardless of the result, drive your tank into some kind of shelter, from where it will be difficult to get it. You will have to wait a long time.
This way, you can quickly move to new stages of development and get closer to the treasured technology that you so wanted to control.
The creators of the multiplayer simulator of historical military equipment War Thunder constantly delight fans of the game with various additions.
Tanks are a relatively new type of vehicle in War Thunder. The ability to play with ground combat vehicles appeared in the game in 2014. Currently there are about 200 models of tanks and other armored vehicles in the game.
Which countries' tanks are represented in War Thunder?
At first, armored vehicle branches of only two countries were available: the USSR and Germany. Later they were joined by US and British tanks. The main emphasis when creating all types of equipment in War Thunder is on historical accuracy.
Let's take a quick look at all four countries:
Tank classes inWar Thunder
In addition to being divided by country, armored vehicles in War Thunder are divided into 5 ranks, or 5 “eras of development”. They reflect the real process of development of ground combat equipment in the 40s - 50s, when vehicles created with an interval of several years could seriously differ in combat characteristics.
According to their purpose, equipment in War Thunder is divided into:
- Self-propelled guns (self-propelled guns).
- Medium tanks.
- Light tanks.
- Heavy and assault tanks.
- Self-propelled anti-aircraft guns (ZSU).
There is another type of armored vehicle, “young”, but already considered by some to be a separate class. We are talking about vehicles with missile weapons.
Rocket tanks in War Thunder
So far there are only eight cars of this class in the game.
These are 4 tanks with MLRS, equipped with unguided rockets:
BM-8-24- Soviet light tank of the first rank, equipped with a Katyusha rocket launcher. The missiles have a deadly range and high destructive power, but other than them the tank has no weapons. So in close combat and on reload he is very vulnerable.
"Panzerwerfer-42"- a German half-track vehicle, almost unarmored, but with twelve 158 mm rockets. A hit from such ammunition can send even the heaviest tank into the hangar.
T34 "Calliope"- American Sherman tank with an additionally installed MLRS for 60 missiles.
Pershing M26 T99- a British tank with two additional missile launchers on the sides of the turret. The tank is equipped with a powerful weapon, so missiles are just an addition to its firepower.
And after the release of the recent addition "Fire Arrows" 4 tanks with ATGMs appeared in the game:
- "Raketenyagdpanzer-22"- a German self-propelled gun armed with the same ATGMs as the previous tank.
- IT-1- Soviet tank destroyer based on the T-54, the world's first and only purely missile tank with ATGM.
- STRV-81- British Centurion-3, additionally equipped with SS-11 missiles.
- "Sheridan"- a light and very mobile American tank from the Vietnam War. It is equipped with a 152 mm cannon that fires both conventional shells and guided missiles.
ComparisonWar Thunder andWorld of Tanks
Massive multiplayer tank battles are present in both games, but this does not mean that they repeat each other.
World of Tanks is primarily an arcade shooter with historical elements, and War Thunder is a military simulator. When creating technology in the latter, the main attention is paid to historical accuracy. Therefore, while WoT developers can often afford to change the actual characteristics of tanks in favor of balance, this is not welcome in War Thunder. Even the models for dealing damage in the games are very different: if in “Tanks” health is simply taken away when armor is penetrated, then in War Thunder everything is much more complicated - when calculating the consequences of a hit, the speed of the projectile, the affected area and other parameters are taken into account.
And finally, the WoT engine is somewhat older than the War Thunder engine - therefore both the physics and graphics in Tanks are less realistic.
However, it is impossible to say for sure whose model of tank battles is better. It all depends on the player's goals. If you want realistic control of steel monsters, then War Thunder is better. If you consider multiplayer tank battles as an eSport, choose World of Tanks.
One thing is clear - with the advent armored vehicles in War Thunder The “tank monopoly” of WoT has come to an end. Now there are two serious online games on the market dedicated to multiplayer tank battles.
War thunder has waited for the moment when battles take place not only in the air, but also on land!
This event will give everyone many hours of exciting tank battles that will bring admiration and a storm of emotions!
Therefore, today our topic is interesting and useful for many of you - tanks in the game War thunder.
You will take part in battles using World War II vehicles, try them out and even “feel” them, thanks to stunning graphics and physics. After all, it was the military equipment of those times that was considered one of the most universal and advanced.
From this article you will learn:
Development branches
- At the initial stages, players have access to two development branches, represented by combat vehicles of Germany and the USSR. Each of them includes different modification options for heavy, medium, and light tanks.
- Among German vehicles you can take control of the famous Panthers and Tigers. USSR technology will show off its T-34 and KV.
- Each tank can be upgraded using any of its modifications to improve it. It is also possible to modify additional elements - visibility, installing protective steel sheets on the tracks, reloading, and so on.
In a word, it is impossible to list all the options, there are incredibly many of them!
Features of combat vehicles
A review of tanks would not be complete without mentioning shells. They are qualified in various categories, ranging from sub-caliber to armor-piercing.
Steel equipment could not get by with modifications alone. Almost all of the aircraft's functionality was transferred to tanks. This means that you can upgrade the crew, improve the conditions for conducting battles, and apply different color and graphic designs to the body of the vehicle. Each player can create their own real invincible battle monster.
The battle mode is arcade, but the developers assure us that other modes will soon become available.
Tank branches
Equipment upgrades are carried out in stages. It starts with early models and ends with fast cars. Each tank has only its own model structure, characteristics, and behavior.
Some have excellent armor, others are extremely powerful. It’s not easy to understand every nuance, so it’s much easier to break in a steel horse in battle.
The players recognized the T-50, T-34-85, SU-100, T-54, IS-4 as the best tanks of the USSR.
Now a review of German War thunder tanks, there are several branches here. The equipment is represented by Czechoslovak vehicles, legendary tigers, the deadly Pz1VF2 tank, and panthers.
Mode
The main task of the player is to capture certain points and destroy opponents. There are three to five control points on the map. When you capture them, you receive points, while the enemy's points are reduced.
Each can deal more damage by calling in artillery support. It is important to simply correctly calculate the battle tactics in advance.
Browser battles take place in “garage” mode. This means that if you are destroyed, you can again choose your next tank. Rewards are awarded for damaging opponents, conducting a general battle, and individual shots.
How would you like to end our tank review?
Because you will only get the peak of excitement in battle. And believe me, this is an incredible feeling!
Already, this military equipment is gaining a lot of positive reviews on forums and an incredible number of views. The popularity of the game War Thunder is steadily increasing, it is rapidly becoming a leader!
Don’t waste time, join us and go to exciting battlefields with us, don’t forget to invite your friends! And since further expansion is planned, subscribe to our blog news so as not to miss anything important. That's all, bye-bye. Happy fighting!
) are most in demand and should be upgraded first, and which ones can be postponed until later? Which nations are at what ranks? In this guide you will find out the answers to all these questions.
Rules for upgrading vehicles in War Thunder
When leveling up vehicles in the game War Thunder, the following rules apply:
- To open equipment of the next rank, you need to research and buy 6 units of equipment of the previous rank.
- To research a tank, it is not necessary to accumulate research points on the previous tank. You can accumulate research points (RP) on any tank of the same nation, but the efficiency of accumulating RP is not always the same.
- To start researching a tank, you must first research and buy the previous tank.
What vehicle classes should I download?
The War Thunder game has its own characteristics, and not all classes of ground vehicles in the game are equally useful.
The most useful class of ground vehicles are medium tanks(in the early stages of the game their place is taken by light tanks). This is a universal class of equipment that has some kind of armor, good guns and performance characteristics sufficient to perform basic combat missions, such as capturing points and shooting down a captured enemy. It is competent play on a medium tank that allows you to win battles. Do you want to more actively influence the results of the battle? Upgrade medium tanks.
Due to not always adequate driving characteristics heavy tanks never as useful as average. It is recommended to add no more than one heavy tank to a tank set and take it first. By the time you get to the combat zone, your allies will be there. If you take the heavy tank second, the battle may well end without your active participation.
Light tanks minimally useful mainly in the RB game mode, where you can take an unexpected position and throw enemy tanks into the sides and stern. In AB mode with permanently lit markers, light tanks are not particularly relevant.
Utility turret self-propelled guns strongly depends on their tactical and technical characteristics. Depending on the performance characteristics, they can be played as medium, heavy or light tanks, with all the ensuing consequences in terms of their usefulness.
Crazy self-propelled guns in AB mode they are practically useless due to constantly burning markers. By the time you take an advantageous position, half the team will chip in on your self-propelled guns. The exception is some vehicles that have imbalanced armor, for example, German mid-level and high-level self-propelled guns.
Anti-aircraft self-propelled guns(ZSU) are useful only in RB mode. First of all, because to travel to the ZSU you need only 150 revival points. So, if you decide to “play with realism”, it is recommended to at least explore the ZSU. In AB mode there is no special sense in the ZSU. As a rule, in AB mode the team that wins is the one that more actively takes points, not the one that shoots down more planes.
Soviet tanks are quite interesting, but in general they are not without their shortcomings. The main drawback of the advice is the lack of comfortable playing conditions for the player. Disgusting on most tanks, on some tanks it is only 3 degrees. Many guns have a long reload time. In general, the ballistics are unimportant, which makes aiming difficult in RB and SB modes. A small crew on high-level vehicles negatively affects the survivability of tanks in the game War Thunder.
The Soviets have the advantage of extremely powerful chamber shells. A successful hit breaks the modules well and turns the crew of the enemy tank into mincemeat. In addition, only by playing for the USSR can you create a full-fledged set of equipment at the maximum battle rating. If your goal is to bend over the tops, the USSR simply has no competitors. Although in the distant future this injustice will certainly be corrected.
Soviet tanks that are definitely worth upgrading: BT-5 and BT-7, T-34-76, T-34-85 (D-5T), T-34-85, T-54, KV-1 ZiS-5, KV-2, IS-2, IS-4M, T-10M.
German ground vehicles
German tanks, on the contrary, are very comfortable. When the gun goes down well and penetration by armor-piercing chamber shells exceeds all conceivable and inconceivable limits, it is really very convenient to play. Well, to make it even easier to play as the Germans, almost all tanks have sub-caliber shells with completely unrealistic armor penetration. So if you are tired of the Soviets and the Americans with their eternal “failure to penetrate” and ricochets, the German ground equipment team is your choice!
Another thing is that the armor effect of chamber shells is not as pleasing as that of the Soviets and Americans. And at high levels, the Germans simply lack good top-end tanks. Is it worth researching and rolling out German tanks above BR=6.7 is a complex philosophical question.
German tanks that are definitely worth upgrading: Pz. II C and F, Pz. III J1, L and M, Pz. IV F2, G and H, Tiger H1 and E, Tiger II (H), Panther II, Leopard 1, Jagdpanzer 38(t), Jagdpanzer IV, Panzer IV/70(V).
American ground equipment
Low-level American tanks for the most part lack chamber shells, and therefore the sooner you get to the Shermans, the better. True, not everything is smooth there either; a feature of the Shermans is a very low speed in reverse, which negatively affects the comfort of the game. By the way, it is low for absolutely all Shermans, that is, up to rank 4 inclusive.
In general, American medium and conventionally heavy tanks up to rank 4 are of little interest, but at ranks 4-5 the bending extravaganza begins. Unlike the Soviets, who have a terrible shortage of armor penetration, the Americans are not particularly offended, and they are given high-penetration shells where necessary. Even to places where there was no trace of them. Suffice it to remember how a heavy American T32 tank was suddenly “found” first with a sub-caliber shell and then with a chambered shell.
Is it worth upgrading American tanks? Some definitely. Ideally, you should buy a premium M26E1 or M26-T99 and upgrade your tanks to rank 4.
American tanks that are definitely worth upgrading: M4A3 (105), M24 Chaffee, T25, M26 Pershing, M46 Patton, M60, M4A3E2 (76) W Jumbo, T32, M18 Hellcat, M36 Slugger.
British ground vehicles
Trying to give some general characteristics to British technology, first of all it should be noted that the British did not have chamber shells. The lack of explosives in the chamber is compensated by its high armor penetration and rate of fire. In general, British tanks are designed to destroy enemy crews.
The second thing to note is the uniquely British tank classification system until the end of World War II. The British divided tanks into infantry and cruising, with the former being incredibly slow and well-armored, and the latter, on the contrary, very, very fast. All this makes British tanks, to put it mildly, “unusual”. For consistency, the War Thunder developers divided them into standard classes: light, medium and heavy tanks.
Already at the third rank, guns with truly outstanding ballistics appear, also thanks to the appearance on some vehicles
In this article we will look at the American development branch of aircraft and tanks in War Thunder.
American planes
The American branch is so “severe” that they do not have biplanes as an intermediate link in aviation development. Although biplanes have already been encountered in our reviews about airplanes.
Even the Peashooter, the reserve aircraft of the 1st rank, are monoplanes for the Americans, with weapons that were incredible for the technology of that time. It will not be long before we see heavy machine guns in other nations, but America already has 12.7 mm Browning machine guns on reserve aircraft. Hitting an enemy with even one bullet of this caliber can be fatal.
An important detail: reserve aircraft do not need to be repaired, or rather, they do, but their repairs are free. If there is not enough money to repair a crashed plane, backup equipment will always help out, in our case, “Peshooters” in the American branch.
The main feature of the Americans is machine gun armament. We will see the first 20 mm cannon only on the P-400, the “great-grandfather” of the Cobra fighters, which themselves will be armed with 37 mm cannons. At the same time, in the development branch of American fighters, the Cobra will for a long time remain the only aircraft with large-caliber weapons, with the exception of the P-38G Lightning, equipped with a 20 mm cannon.
"Cobras" of all models, up to the P-63, cope excellently with their main task - the destruction of heavy bombers. Almost 100% of the time, one hit from a 37 mm projectile is enough to send an enemy vehicle into the hangar. The same applies to fights against fighters.
All other American aircraft, except for the Cobras and Lightnings, will be armed with machine guns. And only the top-end jet F-86F-2 Saber will delight players with four 20 mm cannons. American jet aircraft are represented by a wide range of models, both in the army and in the carrier version. There's plenty to choose from. It has speed and power, and carrier-based aircraft even have maneuverability.
The Browning machine guns that the American branch of aircraft were armed with were incredibly powerful weapons, and their number (up to 8 machine guns on an aircraft) allows them to carry such dense fire that the cannon armament sometimes “smokes nervously on the sidelines.” For example: the weight of a second salvo of the F4U-1a machine-gun corsair is more than 3 kg, and the salvo of some Japanese fighters, analogues of the F4U, barely reached 2.5 kg.
The Americans did not hesitate to arm their Sabers from the Korean War with machine guns, which opposed Soviet MiGs armed with 23 mm and 37 mm guns.
Almost all American attack aircraft and bombers were armed with these same machine guns. On the B-17 flying “fortresses” they were installed with up to 13 barrels, some of them were twin, which ensured this bomber a complete absence of areas exposed to machine gun fire. Indeed, a “fortress” is flying, protected from all sides.
But you shouldn’t fly bombers of the fourth branch (B-17, B-25, etc.) in arcade and realistic modes - you will be shot down very quickly. Mouse control and arcade sights negate all the advantages of “fortresses”: they can open fire on you from 700 meters, from a kilometer. And you can fly in simulator mode, where you will feel quite comfortable.
America is the only nation that can successfully use boom-zoom tactics on machine-gun-armed aircraft. Of course, other nations also have planes with machine guns, and they also have the “falcon strike”.
The branch of carrier-based aviation will receive cannon armament much earlier, starting with the legendary F4U-1c Corsair, equipment was armed with 4 AN/M2 or M3 cannons, which tear apart everyone who gets in their way. But they have a disadvantage: they have a tendency to overheat and jam. You should not shoot in unreasonably long bursts - you risk being left without a weapon.
In general, American aircraft are distinguished by good speed, armament, they are durable, and carrier-based aircraft also maneuver well.
American tanks
In the first era, the M3 Lee medium tank with its two guns takes the lead. Its 50 mm in the forehead at a slight slope is practically not penetrated by anything at its level.
In the second era, the time comes for the M4A3 (105) Sherman with a 105 mm howitzer, from which even German Tigers, not to mention less armored vehicles, receive serious damage. The nimble M22 Locust is also located here - a light tank that manages to be the first everywhere, even in the hangar.
In the third era, we will be pleased with the M4A3E2 Jumbo heavy tank, which is so armored that it manages to remain intact where this is basically impossible. 177 mm - the thickness of the tower at its level, and the body at a rational angle of inclination - do their job.
And the lightweight M24 Chaffee, in addition to speed, has an excellent weapon that punishes its less mobile opponents. However, the Chaffee itself is so cardboard that it can be knocked out with machine gun fire.
At the same rank is the M4A1 (76) Sherman with a 76 mm gun, which is capable of punishing even heavily armored enemy vehicles.
At the 4th era, there are 2 tanks: the M41 Walker Bulldog, which continues the Chaffee tradition, and the heavy T32 with a reinforced concrete, impenetrable turret. However, the medium M26 Pershing, located right there and armed with fireball ammunition, is an equally dangerous enemy for any vehicle. If the armor is broken and the Pershing shell ends up in the enemy’s hull, no one will be left alive.
In the 5th era, the “great” heavy tank M103 awaits us with its insane armor-piercing power - 250 mm of ordinary stock ammunition, and its ricochet turret; as well as medium tanks M46-M47 Patton with good maneuverability, good armor-piercing ability with both sub-caliber and cumulative shells, but very weak armor. Only very skilled players will be able to play these tanks.
This was the general impression of the American vehicle branch in War Thunder, don’t forget to take a look at the vehicles of other nations.
