There were many children in the Celentano family; Adriano was born fifth. They moved to Milan from Puglia in order to find at least some work. This is where the future celebrity spends his childhood and youth.
Adriano Celentano in his youth
Adriano, like his brothers and sisters, had to start working early. At the age of 12, he dropped out of school and found a job as an apprentice in a watch repair shop.
In parallel with his work, he participates in amateur theater productions. In one of the performances he parodied the singer Louis Prima.

Another event that pushed Adriano Celentano towards his creative path was winning a photo lookalike competition.
Then his sister secretly sent a photo of him to participate, where he was depicted as Jerry Lewis.
This photo was taken as a joke, but it was for this that Adriano received his first main prize - 100 thousand lire.
At the same time, Adriano became interested in music. He sings songs of such famous rock and roll stars as E. Presley and D. Lewis with guitar.
Music career
In the spring of 1957, the first rock and roll festival in Italy took place at the local ice palace. Adriano couldn't miss this chance.
It was then that his first public performance took place with his own song “Ciao ti dirò”.
However, this was not a solo performance; he appeared on stage together with the Rock Boys. This song helped them reach the finals and become winners of the competition.
A year later he becomes a finalist at the festival in Ancona. The creative activity of Adriano Celentano begins to develop rapidly.
In 1960, he signed a contract with the Jolly company, which financed the release of his first music album, Adriano Celentano con Giulio Libano e la sua orchestra.

While in the service, he decides to take part in the famous music festival in San Remo with his composition “24 thousand kisses”.
To do this, he had to take written permission from the Italian Minister of Defense. During the performance, a small incident occurred.
Adriano, performing the song, turned his back to the audience. This gesture was considered disrespectful to the public and members of the jury. Because of this, he was awarded only 2nd place.
However, this song fell in love with the audience and subsequently conquered the top of various charts for a long time.
In the winter of 1961, he broke the contract with the studio and, having gathered a company of like-minded people, created his own recording studio - Clan Celentano.
The first record, “Don’t Tell Me,” released under its own brand, sold a million copies. He devoted the next year to touring Spain and France, and also creating his own TV programs.
In 1966, he again took part in the festival in San Remo. This time he performs the song “The Guy from Gluck Street”, but the jury was not particularly impressed by it.
However, it was subsequently translated into several dozen languages. In 1968, the 2nd album “Azzurro/Una carezza in un pugno” was released.
At the end of the 70s, he began his collaboration with the famous Italian composer Toto Cutugno. As a result, about 13 compositions were written.
The album “Soli” was released, which was at the top of the Italian charts for almost a year.
Despite his fear of flying, in 1987 Adriano went on tour to the USSR. In Moscow, he gives 2 concerts at the Olimpiysky sports complex.
Afterwards, for 4 years there was a period of creative calm. In 1991, he resumed his activities with the release of a new album, “Il re degli ignoranti,” which contained 10 compositions.

His first role took place in 1959 in the musical film “Guys and the Jukebox.” Then there was a small role in La Dolce Vita.
Adriano Celentano had enough energy for everything. He also mastered the profession of director. In 1965, in the film “Super Robbery in Milan” he acted both as an actor and as a director.
However, until 1969, acting did not bring much fame or income. The film that made Adriano a famous actor was “Serafimo” (dir. P. Germi).
In 1978, Adriano decided to shoot the autobiographical film “Madman Dzheppo”, where he himself plays the main role.
During the same period, he began working together with Castellano and Pipolo (the famous director's duo). The result of their joint work was the most popular film in A. Celentano’s career, “The Taming of the Shrew.”
Still from the film “The Taming of the Shrew”
It was released in 1980, and its acting duo created a real sensation. Afterwards, a continuation of the popular story was filmed.
The last film was the fantastic comedy film “Jackpot” (1992). Here Adriano also tries himself as a co-screenwriter. This film was not very popular and received poor reviews from critics.
Working on television
In 1987, Adriano Celentano, during a lull in cinema and music, decided to create his own program on television.
He becomes the host of the “Fantastico” project, which has become quite popular and received the highest ratings on air in the evening.
In 1999, A. Celentano became interested in a new music show, and this program had to be closed.
In 2001, he became the host of “125 Million Nonsense,” which did not last long on television due to scandals and intrigues.
There was an attempt in 2002 to create the show “Rock Politics”. However, S. Berlusconi did not like it, and after several broadcasts it was closed.
Personal life
Adriano Celentano, despite being considered a heartthrob and ladies' man, has actually been happily married to the same woman for 50 years.
He met actress Claudia Mori in 1963 on the set of the film “Some Strange Guy.” They played a couple in love, and these feelings were soon transferred to real life.
In the summer of 1964, a beautiful couple got married in the most romantic city - Paris. Claudia, having gotten married, devoted herself entirely to her family and husband.
During her career, she starred in only 12 films, and in 10 of them she played together with Adriano. Later, she was very actively and successfully involved in her husband’s career. She carried out advertising campaigns, was an administrator, and a tour organizer.
The life and creative work of Claudia Mori has been inextricably linked with her husband (Adriano Celentano) since they met. A happy accident helped the strongest union of Italian cinema actors to form and live until their golden wedding.
Claudia Mori became a guardian angel, image maker and director of the family recording studio for her husband. Having given up her own career, she continues to love and protect her husband to this day.
The actress's real name is Claudia Moroni, sometimes pronounced Claudia Moreno. Born on February 12, 1944. Creative career includes both filming and producing (since 1987). Claudia Mori They also know her as a singer.
Claudia Mori in her youth began her creative career as a music hall performer. A performance in San Remo in 1970 gave victory to Claudia and Adriano Celentano with their composition “Chi non lavora non fa l’amore”, and in 1975 Mori was recognized as the most successful performer in Italy.
Acquaintance
Adriano Celentano and Claudia Mori they first met each other in person during the filming of the film “Some Strange Guy” in 1963. Before that, the actress had already worked in the films “Cerasella” (1959); "Rocco and His Brothers" (Claudia Mori starred with A. Delon, 1960), directed by L. Visconti; “Sodom and Gomorrah”, directed by R. Aldrichi (1962). She was extraordinarily beautiful, smart, talented and selective in men. The singer regularly held concerts in Rome and organized tours in France.
Constantly surrounded by a crowd of numerous fans, the actress at first did not pay anyone any attention to Adriano, having heard about his reputation as a hooligan and shocking macho.
Her partner’s appearance reminded her of a monkey, and her irrepressible energy made the girl stay away. The beloved in the film, Celentano, repeatedly made attempts to invite his intractable partner on a date, complimenting her and persistently showing courtship. Although at that time Celentano had a girlfriend with whom he was dating - Milena Cantu. The poor thing had no idea that she would soon be abandoned by her temperamental groom for a new passion.
Confession
One incident changed everything. During the filming of one of the last scenes of the film Mori, the child's mother, who played the child, became so angry on the set that she accidentally spilled water on the wires. An electrical short circuit occurred, which led to the ceiling explosion. Celentano was injured by glass shards and had scratches on his forehead and cheek. Embarrassed by what was happening, Mori hurried to wipe the blood from her partner's face and apologize. The young man was not at a loss and, taking advantage of the moment, immediately invited Mori to a nearby cafe. Feeling guilty for the accident, the well-mannered girl could not refuse.
The first dates did not last long, ending with a couple of kisses. After the premiere of their joint film, Celentano and Mori stopped dating. He started giving concerts, but she wasn’t into the relationship enough to continue it.
But, once flaring up, passion for the young beauty haunted Adriano. One day he sent Claudia an invitation card to his performance. Mori, without any second thoughts, accepted him and came as a guest. The performance of the famous performer was a great success; at the end of the concert he sang an amazingly beautiful composition about love and from the stage he confessed his tender feelings for the invited Mori.
Wedding
The popularity of the performer, his crowd of fans and recognition from the stage to the girl did their job. The romance, which had stopped for a while, flared up with renewed vigor.
In the summer, July 14, 1964, the couple secretly got married. Not wanting to advertise their act and avoiding the paparazzi's intrusion into personal relationships, they scheduled the painting for three o'clock in the morning in the Church of San Francesco in (Grosseto).
Only the closest friends were invited to the wedding. During the ceremony, witnesses almost fell asleep while walking, Adriano complained of a headache, and Claudia found the groom’s tie inappropriate for the wedding and the couple quarreled for the first time.
At the end of the ceremony, the wedding rings of the bride and groom were removed. They saw the old custom as “bourgeois ties” and never put on their rings again.
Later, in 1987, during Celentano and Mori’s visit to Moscow, the husband gives an interview about the actors he loved in his youth. He admitted that he really liked Ava Gardner, and Claudia was especially similar to her, but better and more beautiful. That's why he chose Mori as his wife.
Prioritization
After the wedding, Celentano's wife, Claudia Mori, knowing the restless, violent character of her husband and seeing the crowds of eager fans, decides to take a desperate step - She sacrifices her own creative career to family happiness. Celentano's fans did not give way to their idol, stopped his car, called him at night, confessed their love. Fully supporting her husband in all his endeavors, Claudia becomes his image maker, support, lawyer and director.
Support and promotion of husband
Not many people know that Celentano’s stage image was entirely invented by his wife. She made her husband a flamboyant hooligan, dressed in provocative clothes and painted his left eye with paints depicting a bruise. The resourceful Claudia went through all the Roman and Milanese to choose costumes for Adriano.
Claudia Mori and Adriano Celentano were in the spotlight of the public in. Guests of the concert noticed how devotedly the wife looked at her husband, held his hand and sang with him.
Victory at the song competition Chi non lavora non fa l'amore “He who doesn’t work, doesn’t make love” in 1970 brought unprecedented success to the outrageous performer, fans tore his clothes, and one of them snuck into their marital room and hid in bedroom! Claudia admitted that such a clear success of her husband among all the women in the world flattered her as the chosen one of the star.
One day Celentano was admitted to the hospital, and the next morning he saw a crowd of people under the windows of the hospital ward. Having asked the doctor what it all meant, he received the answer that some reporter had confused two patients, one of whom had died, and the other turned out to be Adriano himself. So the fans came to say goodbye to their beloved singer.
After this incident, the enterprising wife of her star husband constantly came up with ways to whet the paparazzi’s interest in her own family.
Another invention of Claudia one fine day gathered all the reporters of the city around Adriano. He dressed in indecently short mini-shorts, took a pillow under his head and lay down on the railway tracks near his home in Briand, trying to commit suicide. Claudia tried to inform everyone about this. Many reporters, journalists, and onlookers came running to see the Italian’s prank. Mori was the last to arrive. When they began to ask her what was happening, she, not paying attention to anyone, scolded her husband at all costs and asked him to get off the rails. Celentano stood up just in front of the train, and the reconciliation of the spouses was recorded by all news outlets present.
Later, journalists managed to find out that all this was a set-up, and Celentano himself almost died of fear when he heard the whistle of an approaching train. However, the next premiere of the film with the controversial actor was a huge success.
Claudia constantly came up with ways to increase her husband's rating. She even turned the birth of her first daughter into a show. During the happy event, the new father did not leave his phone for days, as he was touring in France. Upon arrival in Italy, he presented his wife and the entire maternity hospital with flowers. When the first photograph of baby Rosita was taken, Celentano, seemingly by chance, ended up on a television show and not only her parents, but also numerous viewers of the channel could not get enough of the girl’s photograph.
The family continued to grow - after Rosita, Adriano Celentano and Claudia Mori acquired two more children - a son, Giacomo, and a daughter, Rosalinda. The father loved all three madly, but was absolutely against their stage career, fearing that his talents would overshadow the achievements of the children.
Adriano's age today is 81 years old, and his wife Claudia is 75 years old, and they still love each other!

Adriano Celentano - Ma Perke
Adriano Celentano was born on Befana Day (the holiday of jokes and pranks) on January 6, 1938 in Milan, at Via Gluck, 14. He became the fifth child in a family that moved from Puglia to the north in search of work.
At the time of his birth, Adriano’s mother was already forty-four years old. Adriano spent his childhood and adolescence in Milan. At the age of twelve he left school and, since his family lived poorly, began working as an apprentice in a watch workshop.
In his youth, the future singer often portrayed the famous American comedian Jerry Lewis, and Celentano’s sister sent one of the photographs to the look-alike competition, where her brother was in the image of this artist - as a result, Celentano took first place and won 100,000 lire.
During this period, Adriano began to show interest in music, in particular rock and roll, which, like many other young Italians, he heard in 1955 at a screening of the film “School Jungle”, in which the song “Rock Around the Clock" by Bill Haley. Inspired by this example, Celentano became a member of a rock band Rock Boys, which included Giorgio Gaber, Luigi Tenco and Enzo Iannacci.
Music career
Since 1954, Celentano began writing and performing his own compositions, and a year later he began collaborating with his friend Miki Del Prete, who later wrote a large number of songs for Adriano and was his main producer for a long time. Celentano was also a member of the musical group I Ribelli, in which his long-time friend, drummer Gianni Del Aglio played.
Adriano Celentano's first official performance took place on May 18, 1957 at the Ice Palace in Milan - together with the Rock Boys group he took part in the “First Italian Rock and Roll Festival”. Many Italian rock bands took part in the competition, and almost all had to present songs by famous American musicians to the jury. But the Rock Boys took a risk and performed the original composition “Ciao ti dirò” (I’ll tell you “ciao”), with which they won.
On July 13, 1958, Celentano won the light music festival in Ancona, performing the song “Il tuo bacio è come un rock”, and two years later the Jolly company signed a contract with him and released his first studio album - Adriano Celentano con Giulio Libano e la sua orchestra. In the same year, Adriano Celentano was sent for military service to the city of Casale Monferrato, and then to Turin to the barracks on the Avenue of the Soviet Union (Corso Unione Sovietica).
On January 27, 1961, the singer took part for the first time in the Sanremo music festival with the song “Ventiquattromila baci”. For a serviceman to participate in the festival, special permission was required from the Minister of Defense Giulio Andreotti.
At the beginning of the performance, he turned his back to the audience, so the jury considered this impolite and awarded him only second place. Despite this, "Ventiquattromila baci" rose to the top of the charts and was recognized as the best Italian song of the decade. On December 19 of the same year, the performer broke his contract with Jolly and, gathering his best friends and like-minded people, created his own record label - Clan Celentano. The first record Non mi dir, released by this label, sold more than a million copies.
In 1962, the singer won the Kantajiro competition, performing with the song "Stay lontana da me", after which he went on tour in France and Spain, and also created a series of his own television programs. In 1963, at Milan's Teatro Smeraldo, young people staged a cult riot, hailing Celentano as the leader of the national style of rock and roll.
In 1966, Celentano decided to return to the Sanremo festival with the song "Il ragazzo della via Gluck". Although the composition did not receive any prizes, it was translated into twenty-two languages and topped the Italian charts for more than four months. This composition, which tells about the fate of a simple Milanese guy, is Celentano’s first socio-political song that went around the whole world.
Two years later, the singer performed again in San Remo, this time with the song "Canzone", taking only third place, but again topping the charts.
Adriano Celentano - Canzone
In 1968, Clan Celentano released the album Azzurro/Una carezza in un pugno. Song "Azzurro" from this album, the music for which was written by Paolo Conte, and the words by Vito Pallavicini, became one of the most famous in the repertoire of Adriano Celentano. For example, fans of the Italian national football team, called “gli azzurri” (blue), chose “Azzurro” as the unofficial anthem for the 2006 FIFA World Cup. The song was later covered by such famous singers and groups as Gianni Morandi, Mina Mazzini, Die Toten Hosen and Ricchi e Poveri. Paolo Conte also composed the music for the song "La coppia più bella del mondo", which was published back in 1967 as a single and sung in a duet with Celentano’s wife, actress Claudia Mori.
In 1970, the artist once again performed at the Sanremo festival and won for the first time, performing the song in a duet with Claudia Mori "Chi non lavora non fa l'amore".
In the early 1970s, Celentano came up with and recorded the composition "Prisencolinensinainciusol", the text of which consists of incomprehensible made-up words that do not mean anything, which symbolizes the disunity of people who are unable to understand each other. The song remained at the top of the European charts for a long time and entered the American pop charts. At the end of 2009, the composition became an Internet meme.
In 1972, the album was released on LP I mali del secolo, all compositions of which were composed by Celentano himself. Most of them are devoted to the problems of the modern world. In 1976, the singer recorded the album Svaluation. The lyrics of the song of the same name from this album ironically commented on the social crisis that existed in Italy in those years, thanks to which the disc entered the European market and took first place in France and Germany.
In 1979, Celentano released the album Soli, during the creation of which he collaborated for the first time with the popular Italian composer Toto Cutugno. The album stayed at the top of the Italian charts for 58 weeks. In the Soviet Union, the record was published by Melodiya.
Also in 1979, the album was released Me, live!, recorded during the Celentano concert on August 28, 1977 in Cesena, at the Dino Manuzzi stadium.
In 1980, Celentano released another studio album, which he worked on Toto Cutugno, - Un po’ artista un po’ no, after which their collaboration ceased. Despite this, they remained good friends. In total, Toto Cutugno wrote thirteen songs especially for Celentano.

The most notable works of the 1980s were the albums Atmosfera, Deus (1981), I miei americani (1984) and I miei americani 2 (1986), which are a collection of cover versions of songs by famous English-language groups and performers, such as The Beatles, The Platters, Little Richard, Ray Charles and others. All songs on the albums were translated into Italian, and their arrangements were slightly changed. The translation of the lyrics is as close as possible to the original.
In 1987, Celentano, together with Claudia Mori, arrived in the Soviet Union for the only time for the premiere of his film "Joan Lui". Despite the fact that the singer suffers from aerophobia, he made an exception for the USSR and flew by plane. The artist gave two concerts in Moscow at the Olimpiysky sports complex, which became his first performances after an eight-year break. Central Television recorded a television version of the concert.
“Even as a child, as a boy, I always imagined Russia as a fairy-tale country. It seemed to me that in every house the stove was lit, and the inhabitants of this house gathered around to talk about this and that. And there's snow outside the window. In the house, logs crackle in the stove and wisdom is invisibly present. This is how I always imagined Russia - a land located in the very center of the Earth, where even wars could not kill the thoughts of the sages. And I’m very glad that I came here and can light my fire here, because, apparently, this is where that great fire will begin, in which all evil will burn.”, - said Adriano Celentano during his speech at the Olympic Stadium in Moscow.
From 1987 until 1991, there was a temporary lull in the singer’s work - during these years he did not release a single studio album and did not star in a single film. However, in 1991 he resumed his musical activities and released the album Il re degli ignoranti, consisting of ten tracks. The album was released four years after the release of the singer's previous studio album, La pubblica ottusità.
The nineties marked a new stage in Celentano's musical career. Having completely abandoned filming, Celentano began collaborating with new authors and releasing new music albums.
Adriano Celentano - Il Tempo Se Ne Va
In 1994, after a three-year break, the singer released a new studio album, Quel punto, and on May 18 of the same year returned to the stage, going on a concert tour in Italy and abroad.
In 1995, the performer released his first and only collection of remixes - Alla corte del remix.
In 1999, Celentano began collaborating with composer Gianni Bella, and also continued to work with the famous songwriter Mughal. Together with them, the singer recorded and released five studio albums, the first of which was the disc Io non so parlar d'amore. It sold two million copies and stayed on the Italian charts for 100 weeks, thereby allowing the performer to regain the attention of the general public.
The album was released in 2002 Per sempre. The disc was a great success both in Italy and abroad. The popular American jazz composer and pianist Chick Corea took part in the recording of several songs. Separately, it is worth highlighting the composition of Gianni Bella "Confessa", which became extremely popular in Russia, as did the music video filmed for it: it collected more than seven million views on YouTube.
Another confirmation of Celentano’s popularity was the anthological collection Unicamente Celentano of three discs, released in November 2006. In six months, over 350 thousand copies were sold.
At the end of 2007, shortly before his seventieth birthday, Celentano released his 40th studio album, Dormi amore, la situazione non è buona.
In 2008, a new two-disc collection was released - L'animale, which includes Canzoni d'amore and Canzoni contro. In total, the new CD collection includes 28 tracks, including two previously unpublished songs. One of them, "Sognando Chernobyl"(Russian: Dreams about Chernobyl), about the Chernobyl disaster, which was written by Celentano himself.
On November 29, 2011, Celentano released the album Facciamo finta che sia vero. The disc became the artist's first studio album after a four-year break.
On February 14, 2012, Adriano Celentano performed for the first time after a long break at the opening of the Italian Song Festival in Sanremo.
On November 19, 2013, the singer released a new four-disc collection ...Adriano, containing both already beloved hits and three new songs.
On October 28, 2014, he recorded and released a new version of one of his “classic” hits - “Un bimbo sul leone”, in a duet with singer Fiorella Mannoia.
Film and television career
Adriano Celentano starred in 41 films, of which four he directed himself. The beginning of Celentano’s cinematic career coincided with the beginning of his musical activity - in 1959 he starred in his first film, “The Guys and the Jukebox” by Lucio Fulci, and the following year in Federico Fellini’s film “La Dolce Vita” in the cameo role of a rock singer.
His directorial debut was the film “Super Heist in Milan”, where, in addition to Celentano, his wife Claudia Mori played, as well as his friends from the “Clan”. The film is a parody of gangster comedies that were popular in those years.
Until 1969, Celentano continued to perform episodic roles (mostly musical), but did not yet have much popularity in cinema.
An important turning point in Celentano's career is the film "Serafino" directed by Pietro Germi. The film shows the lyrical story of a simple village guy - stupid, but with a kind and loving heart.
After the release of the film “Serafino,” Celentano constantly acted in films - at least one film with his participation was released every year.
During this period he worked with such celebrities as actor Anthony Quinn (comedy "Bluff" directed by Sergio Corbucci), directed by Dario Argento (war tragicomedy "Five days") and actress Sophia Loren (drama "White, red and..." Alberto Lattuada), which confirmed the growth of his acting skills.

The film was released in 1975 "Yuppie-doo", where Celentano acted as director, composer, screenwriter and leading actor. To create the film, Celentano raised 420 million lire into the film's budget, pledging his villa and land in Brianza as collateral. In this film, the director managed to film almost his entire family - his wife Claudia, as well as three children: Giacomo, Rosita and Rosalinda. In 2008, the film was restored and released on DVD along with a remastered soundtrack. The new version of the film was shown at the 65th Venice Film Festival in September 2008, where the singer was present in person with his wife.
1978 is also a very important year in the artist’s career - Celentano shot and released an autobiographical film "Madman Jeppo"(where he played a famous pop singer who chose love instead of fame and money), and also began collaborating with the director duo Castellano and Pipolo - in total he starred in eight of their films. Their first film together was the scandalous comedy “Uncle Adolf, nicknamed the Fuhrer,” where Celentano played two roles at once.
But the most famous picture of this creative union is, of course, the film "Taming of the Shrew" 1980, in which Celentano's partner was actress Ornella Muti. The picture, in a parodic vein, repeats the storyline of William Shakespeare's play The Taming of the Shrew, where the wayward and capricious heroine was admonished by a man. The film was a great success in cinemas in many countries, including the USSR, grossing twenty billion lire.

A year later, another comedy was filmed, where Adriano and Ornella starred together - "Love struck", which also turned out to be successful, collecting twenty-one billion lire.
In 1982, Celentano starred as the ape man, the new Tarzan in the film "Bingo Bongo" directed by Pasquale Festa Campanile. The role is one of Celentano’s most unusual works in cinema, since for the filming the artist almost did not have to learn the text - throughout the entire film, his character only makes inarticulate sounds, reminiscent of an animal growl, and only in the finale begins to talk. The film is an allegorical parable about man and nature, about caring for animals.

On December 25, 1985, the premiere of a new fantastic musical took place "Joan Lui", where Celentano again acted as a director, composer and actor. The film tells about the second coming of the Messiah to Earth and is an apocalyptic musical about the end of the world. At a colossal cost of sixteen billion lire, the film did not even recoup half of its budget, receiving disapproving reviews from critics.

In 1992, Celentano returned to cinema, starring in his last film to date - a fantastic comedy "Jackpot", where he acted not only as an actor, but also as one of the scriptwriters. The film received extremely negative reviews from film critics and failed at the box office - with a budget of eighteen billion, the film grossed only 105 million lire.
This was the end of the actor’s major cinematic roles. One of Celentano's later experiences in feature films can be considered the main role in a detective series "Inspector Gluck".
At different times, Adriano Celentano hosted several television programs on the first channel of Italian state television (Italian: Rai Uno).
In 1987, he hosted the show's eighth season. Fantastico. Many celebrities took part in the program as guest stars, including artists - for example, the Russian film director, the British singer and the Bee Gees music group.
In one of the episodes, which was broadcast on November 7, 1987, on the eve of the referendum, viewers were shown a story about the killing of seals. Celentano gave a monologue in defense of animals, after which he wrote the phrase on the board “hunting versus love” (la caccia è control l "amore) and called on TV viewers to write it on their ballots, so that in this way people would oppose hunting. As a result of this, a huge number of ballots were spoiled, and Celentano, who was threatened with prison under Italian law, paid the state two hundred million lire.
In 1991, the program was released on Italian television Adriano Celentano a Notte Rock, in which the artist answered questions from young people who came to the studio from Milan and its suburbs.
In 1999, four episodes of the program Francamente me ne infischio (Russian: To tell the truth, I don’t care) were released, where social and musical topics were discussed. The program's guests included such famous people as Joe Cocker, Gianni Morandi, Tom Jones, and Goran Bregovic. Celentano's co-host was actress Francesca Neri. In 2000, at the international festival “Golden Rose”, the program was awarded the “Silver Rose” prize.
In 2001, another author’s TV show by Adriano Celentano appeared on Italian television - 125 milioni di caz..te, which in a softened translation into Russian means “125 million hr..ni.” In one of the episodes, during a number with Dario Fo, Celentano jumped unsuccessfully, fell and broke his leg. But, despite this fact, the program was not closed, and the singer had to conduct subsequent episodes with a cast on his leg. As part of this television show, the detective mini-series “Inspector Gluck” was broadcast, where Celentano played the main role.
The show started in October 2005 Rockpolitik(Russian Rockpolitik), in which Celentano again acted as a presenter. Guests of the program were such celebrities as the French actor, Italian singer Eros Ramazzotti, actor Roberto Benigni and American singer Patti Smith.
On November 26, 2007, a new show by Adriano Celentano was released on the Rai 1 TV channel - La situazione di mia sorella non buona. The program was filmed in a recording studio built in the RAI auditorium in Milan. The program dramatized the process of recording the album Dormi amore, la situazione non è buona, and also raised the topic of nuclear power plants and the problems associated with this energy sector. The title of the program - “My Sister is Not All Right” - is a quote from the song “La situazione non è buona”, where “Sister” refers to the planet Earth, by analogy with the famous “Hymn of Creations” (Italian: Cantico delle Creature) of St. Francis.
Adriano Celentano took part in the filming of commercials several times.
In 1980, he voiced an animated video by Pirelli; in 1987, the artist starred in an advertisement for washing powder by the German company Dash, and in 1995, in an advertisement for the Italian state railway company Ferrovie dello Stato.
Personal life of Adriano Celentano:
With his actress wife Claudia Mori- Adriano Celentano has been married for more than 50 years.
They met on the set of the film “Some Strange Guy.” On July 14, 1964, they secretly got married in the Church of St. Francis in Grosseto. And later, having informed everyone, they played a wedding.
Claudia also serves as CEO of Clan Celentano.
They have three children: daughters Rosita and Rosalinda and son Giacomo. Giacomo is also a singer, Rosalinda is a film actress.

However, Adriano also had affairs on the side during his family life. The loudest - with the actress Ornella Muti. The couple's relationship began during the filming of The Taming of the Shrew.
It was a romance that everyone knew about, but Adriano and Ornella themselves stubbornly kept this open secret secret.
Only in 2008, when Celentano and Mori were on the verge of divorce, did the artist admit his affair with Ornella. True, he made a reservation that marriage was always in the first place for him. “Claudia and I have always loved each other. We had to go through a crisis 20, maybe 30 years ago, but we are still one family.”, he said.
At the same time, in an interview with journalists, he said that Claudia Mori wanted to divorce him back in 1980, but he begged her forgiveness on his knees.
Adriano Celentano and Ornella Muti
Ornella Muti remained silent in 2008. And she remained silent for another 7 years. But in 2015, she also opened up, confirming that she and Celentano really had an affair.
“I would never admit it. Adriano Celentano spoke about our affair many years later, without even asking me. He did this after so many years of silence, which we kept for the sake of our spouses and especially for the sake of our children.", - said Muti.
The actress, according to her, was outraged that Celentano completely ignored her feelings: “Yes, we had an affair, it’s true. But I was stunned by his confession. I would like to know in advance what he is going to say about it and reveal our secret. But this is so similar to men. They just don't care".
“If you forget all his whims and antics, he was incredibly cheerful. He constantly made us laugh. Sometimes the fun got to the point where we couldn’t continue filming.”, - added Ornella.
Adriano Celentano and Ornella Muti - still from the film “Madly in Love”
In November 2004, the artist’s son, Giacomo Celentano, gave birth to a son, Samuele. This is the only grandson of Adriano and Claudia Mori.
Celentano is interested in football and supports Inter Milan - in 2008 he performed at a concert in honor of the centenary of his favorite club.
The artist’s favorite hobby to this day remains watch repair. The singer also enjoys tennis, billiards, photography, chess and loves to cook.
