The world's smallest firearm. The world's smallest working revolver
Weapon miniatures
“Small, but remote” - people say about miniature people or small objects. Among such subminiature objects there are also examples of weapons that can be considered fully functional and, despite their size, can kill. So it is quite possible that the owners of this world's smallest weapon will be forced to register it using the appropriate form. This weapon was made by amateur craftsmen.
Cannon baby
Jeweler from Israel Shamir has already created several samples of working mini-weapons. His previously made, world's smallest gold cannon fires real cannonballs. This gun can shoot through a glass window, a beer can or a glass mug from a distance of five meters - it is actually loaded, and comes with an appropriately sized fuse and a portion of real gunpowder.
Small but deadly
And recently the jeweler-gunsmith presented new sample- the smallest crossbow in the world. The weapon is made of 925 sterling silver, the sides are decorated with gold inlay, and the trigger mechanism is steel. The crossbow shoots aluminum arrows with steel tips and aluminum stabilizers. There's even an incendiary bolt option. Trigger has a force of 2.68 kg, so such a piece of jewelry could well become life-threatening.
Modern lefty
Modern left-handers are not extinct in Rus' either. Alexander Perfilyev has been making microscopic copies of weapons for more than 30 years. His extensive arsenal includes antique revolvers, pistols, machine guns and machine guns. A mechanical engineer by profession, Perfilyev mastered the crafts of a woodcarver and mechanic, and also thoroughly studied the history of weapons. In 2011, his exhibition was held at the Transbaikal Art Salon, where 50 works of the master were presented.
There is something to marvel at!
All copies of weapons created by Perfilyev are functional. The master created them, meticulously reproducing every detail; many had to be made from drawings. It sometimes took whole year. The collection of the world's smallest weapons includes a TT pistol, a Kalashnikov assault rifle, machine guns and howitzers from the War of 1812, a Thompson pistol, once popular among American gangsters, and a Flamberge sword with a wavy blade, which was used by knights. Visitors to the master's exhibition say that one can study history from his works.
The C1ST revolver deservedly occupies a place in the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's smallest fully functional firearms. The manufacturer of the C1ST revolver is the Swiss company Swiss Minigun, and this guarantees that the revolver, its ammunition and all related ammunition are made with Swiss precision.
The length of the C1ST revolver is only 5.5 centimeters. Its height is 3.5 centimeters, width is 1 centimeter, and weight is 19.8 grams. This tiny revolver fires an equally tiny 2.34mm round, which also holds the world record for being the smallest round in the world.
The small size of the cartridge and, as a result, a small powder charge, make the C1ST revolver the safest firearm. A revolver bullet moves in the barrel at a speed of 122 m/sec and has an energy of 0.71 Joule at exit. This means that if you shoot someone at point-blank range with this revolver, that person may feel, at most, something like a needle prick.
Despite this safety, the C1ST revolver in all respects is still a firearm with all the ensuing consequences. The import of such revolvers is prohibited in some countries, for example, the USA and the UK. And in some other countries, such a small size of the C1ST revolver does not allow it to be classified as sporting weapons, which may lead to some legal troubles for its owners.
Since 2005, Swiss Minigun has produced C1ST revolvers only in very small quantities. Despite the fact that this weapon is considered the smallest, it is by no means cheap. A silver revolver with a wooden handle will cost 5.5 thousand dollars, and a gold revolver with a handle encrusted with diamonds will cost around 20 thousand dollars.
Monster cars - all about the most exceptional machines, mechanisms and devices in the world, from huge means of destroying their own kind to tiny, precise devices, mechanisms and everything in between.
Does size matter if we're talking about about firearms? History shows how. Gunsmiths experimented with the length and weight of pistols very often, trying to achieve optimal sizes. Of course, revolvers with huge barrels can scare people just by their appearance, but in some circumstances they are simply not convenient. And then a completely different kind of weapon comes to the rescue: like, for example, these seven smallest, but quite lethal pistols.
Taurus Curve
Engineers at the American arms company Taurus worked out in detail the shape of the new pistol to minimize its size. The Taurus Curve body is made of special polymers, and instead of a holster, it can be attached to a belt using a regular clip.SwissMiniGun

Taurus Curve is a pistol with a body made of special polymers. Thanks to them, the developers were able not only to achieve the minimum permissible weight (only 400 grams), but also to “smooth out” all the corners of the weapon. This will easily fit in any pocket. And if you don’t have any, Taurus will feel great on your belt (due to a special attachment in the form of a removable clip and a mini-holster).
Curve is a fairly compact pistol:
- length 12.8 cm;
- height 9.5 cm;
- thickness 2.2 cm;
- Magazine capacity - 6+1.
Attention, dangerous: the weapon does not have a safety lever or a bolt stop lever. There's not even a sight. But there is a built-in laser designator and LED flashlight.
The developers do not hide:
“A 7-centimeter barrel with 9x17 mm caliber cartridges is unlikely to win at shooting competitions. But in terms of convenience, it has no equal.”
Taking this opportunity, our editors decided to recall five more guns that are easy to hide even in the smallest pocket.
