I dreamed of an abandoned house - how to correctly interpret it from dream books. Let's discuss why you dream of an old, dilapidated house and what our dream book says about it
Why did a house collapse in Izhevsk? November 9th, 2017
I came home, turned on the TV - they showed a destroyed house. Damn, the nine-story building is exactly like mine. You immediately think, can they really fold so easily? What's happened? Old house, design flaws, what happened? Why did he collapse like that? Can any old house collapse like that? And mine is already a year old, then “God bless.”
Then I just googled the reason on the Internet...
It turns out there was an explosion after all:
Here's another video of the explosion:
Judging by the footage, the explosion occurred at the level of the third or fourth floor, after which one of the entrances to the house collapsed. According to preliminary data, the cause of the collapse could have been a domestic gas explosion.
No, after all, residential gas is evil. I lived in a nine-story building with gas for 10 years, but now, thank God, I live with an electric stove. Although when we lived in a gasified house, everyone told me I was sure that the natural gas supplied to the houses could not explode like that. They say this is not bottled gas, but a special one. If only the room is completely sealed and gas is being supplied there for a long time - well, then something like that could happen. And if there is some kind of small ventilation, it won’t explode. However, practice shows the opposite.
Moreover, it’s a shame that you never know what kind of drunk will live in your entrance and everyone will be like on a powder keg! No, screw him.
Just now I read that natural gas (in the presence of an ignition source, of course) can explode when its concentration in the air reaches from 5 to 15 percent, and not according to the principle “the higher the concentration, the greater the explosion”! When the concentration of natural gas is above the “upper” explosive limit (more than 15 percent), an explosion is generally impossible! By the way, an explosion is also impossible if the concentration is less than 5 percent.
To achieve the lower explosive limit with an extinguished burner of an average size, five hours are enough (large - 2.5). An explosive mixture near an extinguished burner can form much earlier (after 10-15 minutes), which will also lead to an explosion, but with less power. For a mixture of gas and air to explode, you also need a source of fire. It can occur from a spark when the electricity is turned on, or from a water heater in which the “wick” is constantly burning.
You can, of course, blame the careless residents, among whom there are many elderly, for everything, and children’s pranks can cause a long-term gas leak. However, the main problem is that in most of our apartments the gas stoves are of an outdated design - they do not have a system for automatically turning off the gas ("stop gas" system) if it leaks. A modern stove is also equipped with an automatic gas ignition system. The oven is also equipped with a stop-gas system. In the latest models, gas stoves have child protection, which allows you to turn off the stove while adults are away from home. But models equipped with universal protection are quite expensive.
I also read this “sudden” argument: there used to be wooden window frames and there was always some kind of draft that prevented the gas from reaching concentration. And such windows quickly collapsed during an explosion and did not create the necessary pressure to destroy the structure. And plastic windows lead to the fact that when ignited, greater pressure is created, which much more destroys the structure of a panel house. Or again scientifically: “The high strength of new windows with double-glazed windows, which is significantly higher than old windows with glazing, leads to a significant increase in excess pressure, at which the destruction of the walls of the building occurs. If the same frames with double-glazed windows are made in the form of hinged windows, such consequences can be avoided (pressure is 4 times less)"
By the way, when I lived in a nine-story building with a gas stove, we NEVER closed the window in the kitchen, even in winter.

An old house seen in a dream is a conditional symbol; you should not take the first dream book you come across and be guided by only one interpretation.
You should look into several publications: popular and authoritative, rare and little-known - after all, each of them explains the symbols seen in its own way.
And only then, based on all the information, formulate a single meaning, superimposing it on personal circumstances, because dream books contain general descriptions, and a dream is the fruit of the subconscious of a particular person and his personal life.

- If a person experiences discomfort during sleep, this means that someone is trying to invade his life, impose his opinion, force him to make a decision that is not in his favor.
- The feeling of fear experienced in a dream in someone else's house promises financial expenses, false accusations and squabbles.

Why do you dream about your childhood home, the house of your deceased grandmother?
Basically, a dream in which the dreamer returns to the house of his late grandmother, the home of his childhood and youth, evokes positive emotions in a person
Basically, a dream in which the dreamer returns to the house of his late grandmother, the home of his childhood and youth, evokes positive emotions in a person: a feeling of joy, peace of mind and nostalgia. But such a dream does not always prophesy something good. Often it is a warning of impending life difficulties, health problems, financial losses, betrayal or loss of loved ones.
If in a dream your grandmother’s house is empty, then all endeavors in the professional sphere are doomed to failure. And a person expects loneliness and nostalgia for childhood. Entering the house of a deceased grandmother in a dream without an invitation means financial expenses that will significantly affect the dreamer’s budget. And if the grandmother herself invited you to enter her house, this promises the person big health problems and even premature death.
If in the house of the deceased grandmother the table is set with a beautiful clean tablecloth with many different dishes, and a cheerful old woman is sitting at the table, then the following awaits the sleeping person:
- success in all endeavors;
- acquaintances that will be very useful;
- fun life;
- wealth in the house;
- well-being in family life;
- receiving an inheritance.
If you dreamed of a house where your deceased parents are, it means you should take a close look at your surroundings. Most likely, there are people nearby who wish harm to the dreamer, who will certainly stab him in the back at the right moment. A dream in which deceased parents leave the house, waving goodbye, promises the sleeper a long and peaceful life. If, on the contrary, they call you with you, it means serious illness or the loss of someone close.
The feeling of emptiness and anxiety while sleeping in the parental home indicates that the dreamer is experiencing a crisis in family life. That he is not satisfied with his current marital situation.
Why do you dream about an old house in a village?
When explaining a dream about an old house in a village, the appearance of the house plays an important role
When explaining a dream about an old house in a village, the appearance of the house and the surrounding area play an important role.
- A dream about a house with a bad, unreliable foundation suggests that the sleeper lacks support in real life, that there are no friends around him who are ready to immediately come to the rescue in a difficult situation.
- Seeing a warped house in need of repair indicates that a person has found himself in difficult life circumstances and is in dire need of help.
- Looking for an old house in a village in a dream means emotional distress due to surrounding rumors and gossip that negatively affect the dreamer’s reputation.
But if you dreamed of a beautiful new house surrounded by old dilapidated buildings, then soon a person’s life will change for the better.
Why do you dream about moving to an old house?
- In general, moving to an old house means a change of scenery. Seeing the house into which the sleeping person is moving intact, with large windows and painted shutters, is a sign of the long-awaited acquisition of your own home or the change of an old home to a more suitable one.
- Moving to an old house in a hurry promises urgent business trips. Again, if the house they are moving into is strong and well-kept, then business trips will be successful and bring profit to the person. If the house is dilapidated and frail, then the trip will not bring the desired results. And if the house is dirty, then health problems are possible during the trip, and there is a high probability of ending up in the hospital.

Attention, TODAY only!
A destroyed house, which can be seen in a dream, often gives a negative interpretation. At the same time, it is imperative to remember all the details, thanks to which it will be possible to clarify the entire situation. The dream book will make it possible to determine why such a picture is dreamed of.
Symbol of negative change
The building in which people live, based on various details, means both the prevailing state of a person and some incidents along the path of life.
Why do you dream about your own destroyed house? Watching as if your home is being destroyed can lead to a move, financial instability, a dangerous illness, the dissolution of a marriage, and even death.
Detailed explanations are given by a dream where you watched from the outside as an outside living space, for example, a neighboring house, was being destroyed. In this case, everything will happen before your eyes.
Sign of conflicts and scandals
Every living space expresses family relationships. It is not difficult to understand why you dream about a practically destroyed house. Be prepared for a major conflict that will not lead to agreement.
In addition, when the destruction of your neighbor’s home was your fault, then expect systematic disagreements and even court proceedings.
But, if you dreamed that after complete destruction only a separate part of a residential building was preserved (for example, the roof), then you will overcome all difficulties and build your own happiness again.
Frivolity will ruin you!
If you need to understand why such a dream is happening, the dream book advises you to remember the reason for the destruction of multi-story housing.
A sharp explosion means sudden worst changes; demolition of a house with the participation of a construction crane means a planned invasion of enemies.
A dilapidated house that is destroyed over the years - one’s frivolity in actions can lead to collapse.
Miller's Dream Book warns
According to the interpretation, an earthquake is especially dangerous in a dream. This is a sign of battles, global incidents, economic decline, etc.
If you dreamed that the collapse of a multi-story building happened after a major earthquake, expect an unfavorable stage in your life.
Get ready for a trip!
When you dreamed of an ancient mansion in a dilapidated state, then dreams of harmonious relationships may not come true. The same dream, according to the dream book, gives other meanings.
For example, coming back to a destroyed home essentially means accepting news from the past. By the way, to see a dilapidated, destroyed building of a house in a dream means periodic trips abroad in reality.
Happiness after difficulties
Basically, every explanation of a dream about ruins contains a negative. However, if an entrepreneur dreamed of a dilapidated house, then his started enterprise will bring great wealth. However, you will need to work often, or sacrifice something.
And broken homes of loved ones are a predicate of positive changes that will occur after serious situations.
According to the Muslim dream book, ruins located in water foreshadow a separation from a soulmate, after which life will improve.
Hope lives on...
And in the end, the most unusual interpretation of the dream book. A falling apart house represents the dreamer's subconscious. It conveys the collapse of plans, upcoming plans and faith.
However, if you see that at least one of the walls has been preserved, then the most permanent and reliable ones will take the place of the former values.
