Homer Simpson's full name. Homer Simpson's health
Bart and Lisa have no time to sit with Homer; even Grandfather has his own things to do. But fortunately, luck smiles on Homer: Ned Flanders is going to a Christian rock concert (in fact, he got a ticket to a concert by rapper Chris Rock, which Flanders himself does not realize) and he has no one to leave his children with. Homer happily agrees to take Rod and Todd in and spends the whole evening having fun with them, telling them his life stories. Upon returning from the concert, Flanders accidentally gives Homer an idea on how to make Simpson have more children in the house - open his own kindergarten. Homer does so (intentionally making him Marge's owner, just in case). "Uncle Homer's Daycare" is immediately used by many Springfield parents and Homer gains a lot of little fans. Homer's leg soon heals, but he still continues to dedicate his life to his kindergarteners. But in his noble deeds, Homer forgets about a very important part of his life -...
The Simpsons, along with many Springfield residents, attend a YCL meeting. Lisa attends a gymnastics class, and Bart, buying into an African-American rapper's offer to attend a "cool" class, ends up taking an etiquette class taught by his wife. Meanwhile, Homer plays basketball with his friends. During the game, an accident occurs: Homer takes a high jump and crashes into a basketball hoop and, catching his foot on the hoop, hangs upside down until the entire wall with the hoop collapses. Thus, Homer injures his knee and now he is stuck in a wheelchair for a long time!

Bart and Lisa were sure that other people's children would be with Homer until his knee healed, but now their father was so carried away with raising other children that he began to ignore his own, which, of course, cannot but irritate Bart and Lisa, since all their friends constantly praise Homer and show off his gifts to everyone. Bart and Lisa try to peacefully remind Homer of themselves by showing him their family photo, but he only uses the frame from it to insert his certificate there!
Meanwhile, the Good Guy Award nomination committee learns about Homer's kindergarten and decides to film his educational efforts and then show the material at the award ceremony. During filming, Bart and Lisa have it even worse: the directors and drivers sleep in their bedrooms, and Homer still doesn't notice them as children, but at the same time forces them to cut out hearts for his kindergarteners. Finally, the children's cup of patience is filled: they decide to take revenge on their terribly ignorant father. At the ceremony, they replace the tape with the official report about Homer's kindergarten with various recordings in which Homer is depicted in a not so pleasant way: drunk; losing to Maggie at poker; and eventually running after Bart with a mace and threatening the boy with cruel punishment. The audience is horrified by what they see, and Homer, trying to somehow stop the show, begins...

Homer Simpson, also known as Power Max, is the father of the Simpson family. He is overweight, lazy and ignorant. But Homer is 100% devoted to his wife and children. His behavior in many episodes of the series is often stupid, absurd, selfish, dangerous, clumsy and just plain idiotic. Despite the fact that his intelligence level is below average, in some cases he demonstrates his intelligence and ingenuity. Homer acts like a loving husband and caring parent from time to time.
Biography of Homer Simpson
Homer Jay Simpson was the third child of Abraham Simpson and the first (and only) child of Mona Simpson. Born May 12, 1952. He grew up on his parents' farm until they decided to move because... Homer scared the cows by jumping out of haystacks, causing them to give sour milk. At some point in his childhood he was fed beer, but Homer didn't like it. In 1960, he conducted an experiment where he put 15 pencils up his nose. As a result, one of them hit the brain, which explains Simpson's low level of intelligence.
In the 1960s, when Homer was 9-12 years old, Mona, his mother, was involved in underground activities due to problems with the law. But before Mona disappeared, she took Homer and her husband to the Woodstock music festival, where Homer ended his old life and began to emulate hippies (his father tried to send him to the Vietnam War as punishment for his lifestyle).
In 1966, Homer, Lenny, Carl, and Moe went to a deep lake to swim, only to find that the water had dried up. While investigating why the water disappeared in the lake, Homer discovered a decaying corpse of a fish at the bottom, which mentally traumatized him and led to overeating (when Homer is worried, he eats a lot).
Homer attended Springfield High School, where he fell in love with Marge Bouvier in 1974. After graduating from school, the young lovers rent a house in Springfield. At this time, Marge receives a letter accepting her to college. To pay for her tuition, Abe gives Homer a job. He works with Carl, Lenny and Lou at the barbershop.
At college, Marge loses her head and falls in love with a professor. Homer is depressed. He creates a group called Sadgasm, and they eventually invent grunge music. Marge, after hearing Homer's concert, realizes that she really loves him and she returns to him.
In 1982, Marge became pregnant with Bart (Homer pulled out half of his hair when he found out). At this time, the young dad works at the Putts a Lot company (he turns the handle that rotates the windmill). They got married at Pete's small 24-hour wedding chapel. And we celebrated the wedding at a truck stop. And then they returned to the Bouvier house, where they then lived.
After failing to get a job at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, Homer leaves Marge and looks for work to support his family. He gets a job at the Gulp'n'Blow restaurant, but Marge finds him and persuades him to return home. Unexpectedly, Homer runs into Mr. Burns and gets a job at the factory.
2 years after Bart was born, Marge became pregnant with Lisa (it was 1984). As soon as Homer found out about this, he pulled out all his hair, leaving only three hairs, shortly before they bought their first house.
At this time, Homer had his second success in life - he was a successful vocalist and songwriter in the barbershop musical quartet "Be-Sharps". They win a Grammy Award (Homer later admits that the Grammy is not his win). At concerts, Simpson disappears away from home, but his priority shifts to his family. After the band breaks up due to creative differences, Homer returns to Springfield to be with his family.
At the end of the 1980s. the young family was able to plan their budget in such a way that Homer could work at his dream job - at Uncle Barney's (Barney's Bowlarama). The budget included regular purchases of toilet paper and putting one child through college. But unfortunately for Homer, Marge became pregnant with Maggie in 1990, just as Homer was starting his new job. And he was forced to return to work for Mr. Burns at the nuclear power plant.
It is worth saying that Simpson tried many professions in his life, he was even a NASA astronaut, but in the end he returned to where he started - the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant. He nearly caused the destruction of Springfield a couple of times after a nuclear crisis at the plant and contamination of the local lake.
Homer Simpson's work
When he first got a job at a nuclear power plant after irresponsible handling of plutonium, Homer was fired along with Sherry's father and Terry (his supervisor) - due to his fault, a dangerous leak of toxic waste occurred. Homer was later rehired as a security inspector in Sector 7G. Ironically, the accidents that occur at the plant double with Homer's arrival.
He rarely visits his workplace, being sure that he is unlikely to be fired, and if he is fired, there will always be another job. Homer once misinterpreted the threat of being fired as a hint to take another day off (Burns said, “If you don't come to work on Friday, you don't have to come to work on Monday.” Homer: “Cool, I have 4 days off!”).
Homer Simpson's appearance
Homer is an overweight, balding man. But despite being overweight and hating exercise, he can display amazing physical prowess and agility. His baldness was contributed to by the fact that Marge became pregnant (at which point Homer pulled out all his hair on his head). Another factor is that long work at a nuclear power plant and constant exposure to radiation led to Simpson's complete baldness.
In one episode, Homer learns that if he repents of all his sins and becomes a Catholic, he will go to heaven when he dies. During his confession, he states that he has masturbated 8 billion times and has no plans to stop and doesn't regret it. Perhaps excessive masturbation leads to hair loss.
Homer's personality
Homer's characteristic qualities are stupidity, laziness, anger and explosive anger, he is exactly "Average Joe" (from the film of the same name). He also suffers from short attention span, which explains his short-lived passion for hobbies and the various businesses and campaigns he comes up with. Homer is prone to emotional outbursts, he is often jealous of his neighbor Flanders and his family, and takes out his anger on Bart (in almost every episode he strangles his son). At the same time, Homer’s catchphrase: “Oh, you little...”, or “Oh, you little bastard!”
But he often uses another punishment for children: he spanks Bart and Lisa. One day Homer was so busy that he told the children to go to their room and spank themselves. At the same time, he does not feel any remorse and does not hide his actions from others. Homer even specifically shows his disdain for Bart: one day he left his son at the port, then he allowed Bart to skateboard naked, and in another episode he didn’t even go to school to talk to the principal.
Homer could cause chaos throughout Springfield. This is explained by his explosive temperament and short-sightedness. Apart from being deliberately annoyed at the sight of Flanders, Homer's other actions are unintentional. Simpson takes out almost all of his anger on Bart because of the child's stupidity when he said or did something wrong. But despite all his shortcomings, Homer is devoted to his wife and children.
While his foolish actions upset his family, in some episodes he appears as a loving father and husband. For example, he buys a trip on the Duff (beer) airship, spends money so that Lisa can take part in a beauty pageant; denies himself to buy Maggie a teddy bear; begins to be the first to dig Bart out of the well when he falls (this despite the fact that Homer hates physical labor).
And finally, Simpson organizes a real surprise for Marge - a real second wedding ceremony to make up for the lousiness of the first. During the ceremony, he hires an actor to hold the wedding ring, before Homer divorces Marge. The result is something like a “real wedding.”
Homer tends to take pleasure in the petty misfortunes of others. He is a chronic kleptomaniac, a petty thief. He carries everything: televisions, air conditioners, power tools. He has a house full of junk stolen from the Flanders. Homer steals golf balls, diving equipment, office supplies and computers from work, even beer mugs from Moe's Tavern.
Although Homer is a little stupid, he is a real expert in some matters. In critical situations, Simpson shows amazing insight, memory, creativity and speaks several languages fluently. Homer behaves very confidently when he is engaged in an activity unknown to him, he is confident of success.
However, such short-lived “flashes of reason” are overshadowed by constant ignorance and stupidity. Homer has a low IQ, in some episodes the concept of the “Simpson gene” is introduced, i.e. his heredity. Here, a great influence is the passion for alcohol, exposure to radioactive waste at nuclear power plants, several traumatic brain injuries, and even a pencil that got through the nose into the frontal lobe of the brain.
Homer is sure that he would be a little smarter if his father supported him, and did not constantly beat him for any offense. But Simpson sees the main factor in his stupidity in the pencil. In one episode, Homer has a pencil removed from his brain and his IQ jumps 50 points to 105, higher than the average person. But Homer returned the pencil to its place (in the brain), lowering his IQ back to 55 points. I note that the IQ of 55 points is a joke from the authors of the series, because... in fact, a person with this level of development would not even be able to take care of himself, and in medicine is classified as severely mentally retarded.
Sometimes Homer argues with his brain. Also, some parts of the body, such as the face, stomach, liver, enter into debate with the brain. In one episode, Homer's mind leaves his body out of boredom, and Simpson simply plunges into his fantasies, where he imagines traveling through the “land of chocolate.”
Towards women, sometimes Homer is romantic, sometimes he just wants to have sex with Marge. Their marriage can be called tense, but despite this they are happy. Homer can stare at other women, even drooling over especially beautiful ones (you can remember his short romance with Mindy Simmons). But despite all these hobbies, in the end Homer always demonstrates his devotion to Marge.
The Simpsons' attitude to religion
Despite the fact that Simpson goes to church every Sunday, he cannot be called a real Christian. It is quite possible that he goes to church, because... knows he'll upset Marge. He does not adhere to the standards of Christian morality, often sleeping in church - much to the irritation of Reverend Lovejoy. Homer often pronounces the name of Christ, calling him "Jebus".
In several episodes, Homer actually meets with God and even gets permission from him in a dream to skip Sunday church meetings.
Homer's alter ego
Homer becomes a superhero named Pieman when a rich Texan bullies Lisa. He throws pies in the faces of villains and people who deserve it. He travels on his Piemobile. And Bart plays the role of the hero, Cupcake Kid. Homer even takes on the pseudonym El Homo, but gets rid of it because the pseudonym means “Spanish homosexual.”
When Homer goes to prison for bribing an official, an FBI agent offers him a way out: Simpson must infiltrate the Springfield Mafia and spy on Fat Tony. Homer is given a wig with a microphone and a camera, and he is renamed Nicky Bluepants Altosaxophony.
Homer's talents
Homer's skills vary greatly. Sometimes he can't run a short distance without collapsing from exhaustion, and other times he runs a marathon and wins an Olympic medal. In another case, he is unable to understand the simplest truths, but soon finds himself functionally programming a robot in a factory.
The only skill that can be seen throughout all the episodes is musical talent. Homer can play the guitar cool, write and perform songs. He was a member of several popular musical groups. He won a Grammy with his park quartet and invented a new style of music (grunge). He helped Lisa win a music competition when he wrote a song for her.
Just like Bart, Homer can learn a foreign language in a short time. When he and his son went to prison in Japan, after some time he was already fluent in Japanese (as he was released).
Homer Simpson's health
Simpson is 40 years old, overweight, and leads an unhealthy lifestyle. It is estimated that the average person lives only 42 years. From episode to episode, Homer drinks and overeats. At the same time, he is ready to drive drunk and get into an accident in order to receive insurance.
In every season, Simpson ends up in the hospital at least once, several rescue operations were organized, and this does not include triple heart massage and the subsequent installation of a pacemaker, which he badly needed (all his arteries were clogged with cholesterol).
Long years of work at nuclear power plants irradiated his blood. Even his X-ray shows radiation. And this made him infertile.
Homer loves to eat well, and he eats much more than the average person. He knows that his favorite foods are bad for his health, but he can’t give them up in favor of oatmeal and fruit. Homer eats fatty foods, he is ready to eat even a poisoned eclair, knowing that it will kill him. And he is horrified when he realizes that he is eating a low-fat diet eclair.
Homer has hearing problems. The reason for this may be frequent attendance at rock concerts in his youth. Bart and his father also have problems concentrating.
Homer's hair loss
There are several theories about how Simpson lost his hair. One theory is that Homer pulled out half of his hair when he learned of Marge's first pregnancy, but he pulled out the rest when his wife became pregnant with Lisa; and he lost his last three hairs when Marge became pregnant with Maggie.
Another theory is that Homer sprayed his head with some kind of acid that causes his hair to fall out.
Homer Simpson's Romantic Relationships
Even though Simpson is married to Marge, he has had several affairs.
Marge Simpson. They met in middle school. They had three weddings (two fake). They have a strong marriage that has survived deception, amnesia and many difficulties. They loved each other since school.
Mindy Simmons. An attractive girl who works at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant has several characteristics in common with Homer. They began a short romance, but Homer soon rejected her.
Lorlene Lumpkin. The waitress who helped launch Homer's successful career as a singer. She tried several times to seduce him, but to no avail. Lorleen was married several times, and all her husbands were like Homer.
Amber. Homer married her in Vegas (as in the movie "The Hangover"). They held the ceremony completely drunk. Amber believed that she was marrying Abe, with whom she was planning to run away to Vegas.
Julia. When Homer becomes a famous opera singer, he gains a lot of fans, including Julia. She admits that she is ready to do anything for him, becomes his personal assistant, and constantly tries to seduce him. But when Homer declares that his heart belongs to Marge, Julia wants to kill him, but fails.
Homer Simpson's Friends
Barney Gumble. One of Homer's best friends. Both of them were born in 1956. They had been best friends since school. Homer convinced Barney to become an alcoholic.
Carl and Lenny. They work together with Homer at the nuclear power plant, but have known him since childhood.
Homer, the hero of the most popular animated series The Simpsons, works at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant in almost all episodes. But working in one place for more than 600 episodes is incredibly boring, so the head of the Simpson family sometimes takes a break and gets another job.
Homer never dreamed of spending his whole life at a nuclear power plant, so sometimes his patience runs out and he goes looking for a job he likes. However, he always returned to his original place, because Homer is devoted to his family and must provide for them. Well, he already had many chances for self-realization... two, maybe more! The editors of InPlanet remembered Homer Simpson's coolest part-time jobs, and he can be envied!

However, even in space, Homer manages to create real chaos, where he is again bypassed by... the rod!

51. And when will I finally understand this? The solution to everyone is not at the bottom of the bottle, but on TV!
52. How can education make me feel smarter? Every time I remember something, something takes up space, pushing something old out of my brain. Like that time I took a winemaking class and then forgot how to drive a car.
53. People can come up with any statistics to prove anything. 14% of people know this.
59. From now on, I will look forward to everything. My God! Tomorrow there will be a special promotion: two piano benches for the price of one! Oh-oh-oh, I wish it were tomorrow!
60. Do I need to do anything for this?
Homer is fat, lazy and quite stupid, especially when interacting with the outside world. And although Homer has multiple shortcomings, he is at the same time a caring and loving person, and for the sake of his loved ones he is even ready to perform brave deeds. Homer Simpson is the main protagonist of the animated series and the 2007 feature film.
Homer works at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant as a low-level safety inspector. His workplace is located in sector 7G. Despite such a responsible position, Homer often shows excessive incompetence and does not deny himself the pleasure of taking a nap on duty or eating donuts. A huge part of his free time, Mr. Simpson hangs out at Moe's Tavern, where he spends time with his old friends Barney, Carl, Lenny and the owner of the establishment, Moe Szyslak. At home, Homer Simpson often lazily lies on the couch, mindlessly staring at the TV, chewing some food and sucking on a Duff beer. Homer is the only son of his parents, Abe and Mona.
Although Homer can often be mistaken for a bad father, he does this unintentionally. Mr. Simpson tries to be good and do the right thing, but he usually fails, and that's not much of his fault. Homer's father behaved much worse in his adult years than his son at the same age, and it was because of Abe's abusive behavior that Homer Simpson became such a person.
Homer could have become the most ordinary resident of the city, but what distinguishes him from many others is his incredibly rich life experience and great achievements. He won an Oscar, flew into space and even saved Springfield several times. He also appears to have some form of superhuman endurance, as his body has been seriously injured numerous times, yet he has managed to survive each time. Homer Simpson is named after Homer Groening- father of Matt Groening, creator of The Simpsons.
Homer Simpson character
Homer Simpson is shown to be a dimwitted idiot most of the time, with signs of selfishness, laziness, and an explosive, irritable temperament. Homer also suffers from low attention span, due to which intense but short-lived hobbies, bouts of enterprise, and generally different events often occur in his life. In addition, Mr. Simpson is very worried when it comes to his masculinity. So, he is very upset when Marge becomes a police officer, because he thought that now his wife will be “the man of the house.” Or when he proudly refused to use a contractor when Marge wanted to redo the kitchen.
Homer is prone to emotional outbursts. He is very jealous of his neighbors and family Flanders, and can easily become angry with his son, Bart, while grabbing him by the throat and beginning to violently strangle him. When he does this, his catchphrase is “Oh, you little...!”, sometimes also “Oh, you little asshole!” (""). He also sometimes spanks Bart and once spanked Lisa. One day Homer was too busy to spank them, so he told them to go to their rooms and spank themselves. Homer does not even repent of his actions towards his son and does not try to hide such actions outside the walls of his home. He sometimes openly disregards his son's well-being, such as leaving him alone at the port ("") or allowing him to go to court for skateboarding naked when Homer could have spent 1 hour of his time taking a parenting class instead ("The Simpsons") to the cinema"). All this shows that Homer Simpson is not only neglectful of his son, but also extremely lazy.
Homer Simpson repeatedly disappointed the people around him and, due to his fault, a lot of all kinds of riots happened in Springfield. These events are usually caused by his hot temper and lack of calculation. With the exception of expressing displeasure towards Ned Flanders, Homer's actions are generally unintentional. He directs most of his explosive anger at Bart when he thinks Bart is saying or doing something bad. Despite these shortcomings, such frequent outbursts of anger save Homer’s life, because if he had kept everything within himself, he would have died of a heart attack long ago (“”).
Although Homer's goofy antics often disappoint his family, Mr. Simpson also did things that revealed him as a surprisingly loving father and husband. For example, he gave up his cherished dream of flying on the Duff airship, and spent the money he saved on Lisa so that she could take part in a beauty contest and feel better (“”). Or when he gave up his wealth to allow Maggie to keep her beloved teddy bear (""). He personally attempted to rescue Bart from the well into which his son fell, although Homer hates physical labor (“”). And he even organized a surprise second wedding with Marge to make up for their poor first wedding ceremony. With this plan, he went so far as to even hire one of the members of the rock band The Doobie Brothers and get a divorce from Marge so that their second wedding would be as real as possible (“”).
Homer Simpson hates physical labor, but despite this, he does a surprising amount of housework. Homer built a children's playground, designed a Florida costume for Lisa, and made a birdhouse and a condiment stand for Marge. Homer also took on a kitchen remodel when Marge wanted a new one after seeing her neighbors' luxurious kitchen. Although this action was more due to the fact that Homer felt like a “woman” when Marge tried to call another male contractor for this job.
Sometimes the animated series shows Homer Simpson's attitude towards women, romance and sex. The marital relationship between Homer and Marge faces difficulties from time to time, but overall their marriage can be called happy. Despite this, Homer often indulges in the temptation to ogle other women, and he usually doesn't feel any embarrassment when he stares or drools. Homer Simpson almost went so far as to cheat on Marge with the attractive Mindy Simmons (""), but eventually realized that he didn't need it. Sometimes Homer made it clear that he was attracted to other women (including his neighbor's wife), sometimes right in front of Marge, but he always ended up being devoted to his wife.
In earlier seasons, such as , Homer's character was different. Homer was angry, grumpy, and ill-mannered, embarrassed by his family (not the other way around), but overall he loved them. He also frequently had angry outbursts, yelling at Bart and Lisa, and choking Bart (the latter habit continued in subsequent seasons). Since then, Homer has become less intelligent, but at the same time a softer and more flexible person. Although his anger still manifests itself from time to time, usually when Bart pisses him off.
