Childhood and adolescence Greetings to guests and regular readers of the site website. So, Russian-speaking rapper Miron Yanovich, better known as Oxxxymiron, first saw the light on January 31, 1985 in a family of intellectuals.
Our hero's parents emigrated from Russia in 1994, and Miron got his first glimpse of Europe from life in Germany - in Ruttenstein. He liked Europe, but relationships at school with his peers did not work out. In general, the boy missed his Leningrad teachers and friends, as well as Russian literature. Perhaps it was precisely because of loneliness, external and internal discord that he began to write his first rap lyrics under the pseudonym MC Mif (MC Myth).
At first, Miron became interested in German hip-hop, but quickly switched to Russian. At the age of 12, he was sure that he was the first person to rap in Russian, but two years later, after a trip to Russia, the future Oxxxymiron realized his mistake.
At the age of fifteen, Myron and his family moved to the United Kingdom. There he continues his studies at school and does it with pleasure, because he quickly found a common language with both teachers and classmates.
In Great Britain, Fedorov quickly made up for lost time at a German school, and then entered Oxford University.
Rap career
In 2008, when he graduated from university, the search for work began. For some time, Fedorov worked in an office and had a stable income. But the craving for creativity prevailed, and the young man returned to music. It was then that the pseudonym Oxxxymiron appeared (derived from the words “oxymoron” and the name Miron, and three X’s indicate non-childish content in the tracks). In 2008, he recorded the song “London against everyone”, after which the label “Optik Russia” became interested in the boy, with which Oxy signed a contract. In the same year, Fedorov’s debut video for the track “I’m a Hater” was released.Still from the video "Oxxxymiron - I'm a Hater" (2008)
The year 2009 was marked by participation in a rap battle from the site HipHop.ru, after which Oksimiron gained a large number of new listeners and fans. During the period of cooperation with Optik Russia, Miron met the rapper Schokk (Dmitry Hinter), with whom he decided to organize his own association, leaving the current one. In 2010, the comrades created their own label “Vagabund”.
In 2011, Oxy’s first album, “The Eternal Jew,” was released, which received recognition from Russian listeners and warm reviews from critics.

In the same year, the Vagabund label broke up due to a conflict situation with Roma Zhigan, who, due to some insults towards him, burst into a rented apartment with a crowd of men and forced him to apologize on camera. This became the catalyst for the collapse of the duo of Shock and Oksimiron, since even before this situation the guys had a very strained relationship due to creative differences.
March 2012 is marked by the release of the release "miXXXtape I", which contains Oksimiron's most successful couplets from 2008 to 2011.
In the same year, Miron wins the 2012 GQ Man of the Year award in the Discovery of the Year category. At the award ceremony, the artist made a short speech in which he thanked his listeners for voting for him.
On October 18, 2013, the second part of the mixtape “miXXXtape II: The Long Way Home” was released, which included both old and new compositions, many of which had already been videotaped.
Since 2013, he has been participating in the Internet project "Versus Battle", published on the video hosting site "YouTube", which is an analogue of foreign rap battles. Videos with Oksimiron, as a rule, gain a record number of views. Our hero's first opponent was Krip-a-Krip, the second was Dunya.
After a bright victory over, who after the defeat even left musical activity and opened his own coffee shop, the organizers of a foreign analogue called “KOTD” became interested in Oxxxymiron. Miron was invited to battle on their site against a professional battle artist under the pseudonym Dizaster. Miron agreed, so how he became interested in the experience of verbal competition in another language.
In the spring of 2015, a joint musical work between Oxy and Rigos called “Deja Vu” was presented.
In the last month of summer of the same year, the premiere of the music video for the song “Londograd” took place, which was recorded for the series of the same name on STS. Miron also recorded the track “Breathless” together with, in support of his upcoming album.
In September of the same year, a film adaptation of the composition “The City Under the Sole” was released.

And already in November, the long-awaited conceptual album “Gorgorod” will be released, telling the story of the writer. The release received positive feedback from listeners and became the leader in the Russian iTunes segment.
At the end of the year, the rapper visited the “Evening Urgant” program, in which he gave a short interview, and also performed the track “Where We Are Not” from the newly released album.
In April 2016, there was a conflict with a Belarusian rap artist (Oleg Savchenko). The fact is that LSP was invited to the release of Oxxxymiron’s friend - Porchy, in which Oleg made veiled, unflattering remarks towards his former booking agency “Booking Machine”, where Oxxxymiron has been a member since 2012 and holds a management position there. After Porchi, who himself does not understand the Russian language well (since he is from Portugal), found out that their community was dissing on his own track, he immediately told everything to Miron. Fedorov supplemented the track “Imperial” with his own verse, where he expressed everything he thought about his former colleague and comrade. Later he records a video in which he reveals all the ins and outs about how Oxy helped LSP develop and grow into a famous artist.
In the summer of 2016, a recorded version of the rap battle between Oksimiron and Moscow rap artist Alexander Stepanov, better known as , was released on the YouTube channel "versusbattleru".
Both participants showed very strong sides, but Miron won once again.
VERSUS #5 (season III): Oxxxymiron VS ST (2016)
In June, the performer announced at his fan meeting that he had become an “ambassador” of the famous clothing brand Reebok.
On August 6, 2017, Miron’s long-awaited battle took place with the notorious artist from Khabarovsk - better known under the pseudonyms Slava CPSU, Gnoyny, Sonya Marmeladova and others.
The competition took place as part of the event "VERSUS vs. #SLOVOSPB", and this time, according to the judges, Fedorov lost for the first time, and even with a crushing score of 5:0. The video became truly resonant, and on the first day of publication it collected about 10 million views, thereby breaking all kinds of records in the Russian segment of YouTube.
VERSUS X #SLOVOSPB: Oxxxymiron X Glory to the CPSU (2017)
Also in August, the video “Reebok Classic x Oxxxymiron x IMPERIVM” was presented. Here the artist reveals the concept of “his own empire,” which in his understanding is any innovative and ambitious idea that was implemented from scratch. Miron also recalls his stadium tour, which includes more than 10 cities.
Personal life of Miron Fedorov
There are many rumors about the personal life of the famous grime and rap artist, but there is also reliable information. For some period, the artist was in a relationship with a short-haired blonde named Sonya Dukk, who can be seen behind Miron in the battle against Kripple. Although the couple broke up, they still remain close people. In his work (in the song “Yeti and Children”), Miron mentioned that while living in London he was married; according to some rumors, the wedding took place in 2007, but a year later the marriage broke up. There is also a lot of gossip on the Internet about Fedorov’s relationship with a certain lady named Sonya Grese. The rapper himself claims that they were only good friends and never had a love affair. At the beginning of September 2017, erotic photographs of Miron with Pasha Technik’s ex-girlfriend, which Pavel posted on his Instagram, were leaked onto the Internet.Oxxxymiron now
On September 14, 2017, after a year and a half lull, the track “Bipolarochka” was released, which was made in just one night. On the same day, Miron issued an invitation to the upcoming battle with Disaster, which will take place on October 15th at the foreign site "KOTD".On September 21st, the premiere of the track "FATA MORGANA" and its expensive film adaptation in the style of cyberpunk took place. The composition is a joint work of Fedorov and his long-time comrade, with whom Oksimiron has been communicating since the founding of the Green Park Gang.
The video shows in great detail how Myron’s body is cut into pieces as he reads his guest verse. It was because of such explicit scenes that the clip was not included in the “Trends” tab on YouTube, but still gained almost 4 million views in 5 days.
Markul feat Oxxxymiron - FATA MORGANA (2017)
On September 26, the rapper featured in the song “It’s Time to Come Home” from the rock group “Bi-2”. The next day it became known that Oksimiron would play the role of a villain in the film based on the novel by Victor Pelevin "Empire V", the release of which was announced for November 2018.
Two days later, the listeners were presented with a joint work by Miron and Ka-tet called “Machine of Progress”. In this track, Oxy returned to the style of “evil hip-hop” and walked through the modern rap industry in Russia. The clip for the composition, made in an animated style, was filmed entirely against a chromakey background.
Meanwhile, the battle in Los Angeles with Bashir Yagami, better known as , is getting closer. Our hero began composing the text for this event only on October 1st, finishing it in about a week. As Fedorov himself admits on his Twitter, writing a battle in English turned out to be quite a pleasant experience for him. It is worth noting that the opponents managed to become friends before this event: they often called each other on FaceTime and talked about various topics. Bashir admits that he does not feel aggression towards Miron and plans to continue communication with him, but this does not mean that he will do him any favors during the battle, he says himself.
The historical battle began at 6 am Moscow time. Participants had 3 rounds, each of which should last no more than 5 minutes. Many Russian-speaking fans from different countries came to support Fedorov, including the organizer of the St. Petersburg "Versus".
KOTD: Oxxxymiron vs Dizaster (2017)
Initially, many were skeptical about the successful performance of our hero, but already in the first round Oksimiron managed to truly impress everyone with his performance, which even his opponent appreciated. After the competition (which was not judged, but after a while Diz admitted his defeat on Twitter), many praised the artist for his excellent presentation of the Russian battle movement to foreigners. Oxy also conducted a broadcast with his former rival Bashir, in which he discussed what happened.

Oksimiron (Oxxxymiron, real name Miron Fedorov) is a well-known and revered rapper in Russia and abroad, who emigrated to Germany at a young age. He became famous for his extraordinary polysyllabic rhymes, rather witty metaphors and high vocabulary. He is considered an innovator of the grime genre in Russia.Childhood of Miron Fedorov. Education and first creativity
Miron was born in one of the Leningrad maternity hospitals on January 31, 1985. The now famous rapper comes from an ordinary intelligent family: Miron’s father was a physics professor, and his mother was a librarian. For the first 4 years he studied at Leningrad school No. 185, after which his father was offered a place at one of the universities in Germany, and the family moved to the German town of Ruttenscheid.
Finding himself in a foreign environment without knowledge of the German language, it was difficult for Miron. At the prestigious school named after Maria Wechtler, where he studied, he was humiliated by his classmates, who came from wealthy families. He subsequently spoke about his attitude towards this difficult period in the song “Last Call”. It was rap that became the anchor of salvation that helped the 13-year-old teenager overcome ridicule and bullying. He composed his first works under the pseudonym MC Myth.
MC Myth – “Al Ogon” (2000)
At the age of 15, the guy changed his place of residence again - he moved to the English city of Slough, which at that time was firmly established as one of the centers of drug trafficking in Britain. According to Miron’s recollections, among the local kids there were many “chavs”, drug addicts and outcasts, but the young man had extremely pleasant memories of the local school.
It was the teacher who taught history there who noticed the boy's potential and insisted that he apply to Oxford. At that time, the most prestigious university in the country seemed mythically inaccessible to Miron; Among the other applicants in 2004, despite his good erudition and a decent certificate, he seemed to himself to be an “uncouth peasant.” This was due to imperfect knowledge of the language, a German accent, and the lack of any social or sporting achievements. Apparently, due to his innate stubbornness, Miron chose the Faculty of English Literature, specializing in “Literature of the Middle Ages,” and still entered - during the course he was surrounded by native Englishmen from the “top of society.”
In 2006, he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, as a result of which Miron was expelled from the university. However, he recovered and eventually graduated from Oxford, but his diploma grades were the lowest possible.
After graduation, Miron rented an apartment on the outskirts of London - this period of life is also often mentioned in his works - and tried to get a job, but it quickly became clear that without the necessary connections this was not easy even for an Oxford graduate, especially with such an unclaimed specialty and low grades. As a result, he got a job in construction - this decision was not easy, but he needed money to support his family and realize his creative ambitions. Subsequently, he changed many professions - he worked as a tutor, guide, entertainer, worked in an office, unloaded trucks, and even for some time was a “literary black man.”
The beginning of Oksimiron's musical career
Miron “appeared” on the radar of the general public around 2008 - at this time he began posting his demo recordings on the Internet. By this time, he had taken the pseudonym Oxxxymiron, which was a reference, firstly, to his real name, secondly, to the literary term “oxymoron”, and the triple “x” referred to the generous use of obscene language in his tracks.
In 2009, he took part in the 14th independent hip-hop battle from the HipHop.ru project, where he created a real sensation - his tracks in the rounds “In the Country of Women”, “No Communication” and “Magician’s Box” were recognized as the best among those performed as part of the battle of compositions. He also won in the categories “Best Sparring”, “Breakthrough of the Battle” and “Best MC of the Battle”. Oxxxymiron reached the semi-finals of the hip-hop tournament, where he met with rapper Chest. The latter won, which caused the indignation of many listeners, who considered Oksimiron a much more worthy opponent.
After winning the battle, representatives of the Russian-language recording label Optik Records from Germany drew attention to Oksimiron. This is exactly how Oxxxymiron and Schokk (Dmitry Hinter) met, which resulted in a fruitful, but short-lived creative union.
Oxxxymiron's first solo album. Vagabund
In the summer of 2010, Oksimiron broke off relations with OptikRusha due to personal contradictions. Together with Schokk and another performer known under the pseudonym Vanya Lenin, Miron created his own label “Vagabund” (translated as “tramp”, “wanderer”). As part of this working alliance, he released his first album, “The Eternal Jew,” which gained wild popularity among the Russian-speaking audience and the “Discovery of the Year” nomination from GQ magazine.Oxxxymiron – “Tumbler”
Together with Shock, Oksimiron went on a long tour of the CIS countries, but soon there was a rift in the team due to a clash with rapper Roma Zhigan. After the quarrel, Shock left for Germany, and Oksimiron gave a free solo concert in Moscow, after which he went to London.
For some time he “went underground”, but in 2012 he presented fans with his first mixtape “miXXXtape I”, a year later the next one was released – “miXXXtape II: The Long Way Home”.
During this period, he also actively collaborated with a number of prominent Western artists, including Canadian rapper Madchild and Germans Automatikk.
Oksimiron participated several times in the promising domestic project Versus - a hip-hop battle, where participants read their “disses” against the enemy without a beat, and the text of the speeches is prepared in advance and read out in three rounds. His opponents were rappers Dunya, Krip-a-Krip, Johnnyboy - and each time he won an unconditional victory, as the audience said, “flawless victory.”
Versus: Oxxxymiron VS Johnnyboy
The release of Oksimiron's second solo album was postponed since 2012 and finally took place in November 2015. The record, called “Gorgorod,” was a complete conceptual work telling the story of a writer named Mark, and therefore recommended for listening in strict order of compositions, of which there were 11 in the album.
In 2016, Oxxxymiron conducted two big tours: “Takeover tour” and “Back to Europe Tour”, and also participated in the recording of three joint compositions with rapper Porchy.
In June 2016, Versus Oxxxymiron vs. took place. The video of their battle was posted on Youtube on June 19, and just three days later the number of views exceeded 5 million.

Personal life of Oksimiron
Oksimiron does not like to comment on his personal life in the press. It is known that he was married, but divorced. In 2014, fans attributed his relationship with a girl named Sonya Grese, as many joint photos appeared online, indicating a close relationship between them. Subsequently (during the battle with Gnoyny) he denied this information. The question of whether Oksimiron has a girlfriend is still of great interest to the rapper’s many fans.
Oksimiron now
Today, Oxxxymiron is deservedly considered a “Russian grime sensation” and the first Russian-speaking rapper to successfully perform in this genre. In August 2017, Oksimiron’s long-awaited rap battle with battle MC Gnoyny took place. At the end of three rounds, all five judges voted for Gnoyny.
Versus X SlovoSPB. Oksimiron VS Purulent
A month later, the rapper broke his one-and-a-half-year silence and presented a new track, “Bipolarochka,” which he wrote and recorded in one night.
On October 15, Oksimiron clashed with his colleague from the USA, the famous battle MC Dizaster (real name Bashir Yagami). The verbal duel took place in Los Angeles. The opponents read in English; the text was dubbed with subtitles for Russian viewers. It is noteworthy that Dizaster was the first to show interest in the Russian rapper, impressed by the multimillion-dollar number of views that the battle between Oksimiron and Johnnyboy collected.
Oksimiron opened his first round with words from Alexey Balabanov’s film “Brother-2”: “Tell me, American, what is the strength?”, and later went through Disaster’s Lebanese origin, accusing him of performing under the American flag, while the Americans are killing his compatriots. Oksimiron succinctly described his impressions of the battle on his Twitter: “I’m dropping the West, ooh.” Another entry appeared on Disaster’s Twitter: “Oksimiron, you were great!”
Oksimiron, aka Fedorov Miron Yanovich, is a recognizable and revered MC not only in Russia, but also abroad, who moved to Germany in his youth. He achieved fame thanks to his extraordinary polysyllabic rhymes, rather witty metaphors and high vocabulary. Many domestic fans perceive him as an innovator of the grime genre.
Childhood
Miron Fedorov saw the light of day in one of the maternity hospitals in St. Petersburg. It happened on January 31, 1985. The future rapper was born into the family of a physicist father and a librarian mother. In 1993, the family emigrated to Germany. In the city of Ruettenscheid, Miron’s father was given an apartment for a small fee, located near the university, where he later began teaching. The Fedorovs were practically the only Russian-speaking family in this place, so the boy was not always able to find a common language with his peers at school, and he began to appear more and more often in Kray, where he could communicate with the Turks.
Studying at the Maria-Waechtler Schule was not easy for Miron, and it was not only that he did not know the language: his classmates were the children of wealthy doctors, legal experts and economists. If you believe the rapper’s words, besides him there was not a single poor emigrant in the class, this became the cause of constant conflicts between fellow students. Over time, Oksimiron even wrote the song “Last Call” on this topic, a kind of anthem for the feature film “Class”.
Youth
Moving to Germany was not the only one for Miron. In the fall of 2000, his family emigrated to London. The 15-year-old boy, who never finished school, had to join a new society again, this time in the city of Slough, a real hotbed of gangsterism and drug addiction. Despite the people around him, it was here that Miron Fedorov decided to study the school curriculum in depth, as he was recommended to try to enter Oxford University by passing the entrance exams and writing an essay.
Finally, luck was on the side of the future rap artist: in 2004, Oksimiron became a student at Oxford, choosing to major in Medieval English Literature. Studying was not easy for the rapper: the reason for everything was still the financial situation of the family. Despite all the difficulties, 4 years of study were not in vain, and Miron Fedorov finally received a higher education, but with a diploma in literary criticism and... minimal grades.
First job
After graduating from Oxford, Miron decided to rent an apartment in one of the remote areas of London (he touched on this period of life more than once in his works) and even tried to find a suitable job. In fact, it turned out that nothing good was foreseen for a graduate of Oxford University without the necessary connections, and also with low grades. As a result, the rapper makes a difficult decision and gets a job in construction. Miron Fedorov and his wife needed money, which was so necessary for their existence and the realization of their creative ambitions. Subsequently, he earned money as a tutor, entertainer, guide, loader, office employee, and even for a short period of time was a “literary black.”
How did the rapper's musical career begin?
Miron Fedorov began sharing his demo recordings with the general public on the Internet in 2008 under the pseudonym Oxxxymiron, a combination of his real name and the literary term “oxymoron.” The triple X indicated the generous use of obscene language in the artist's tracks.
In 2009, at the 14th independent hip-hop competition, Miron performed compositions in the rounds “In the Country of Women,” “Magician’s Box,” and “No Communication,” which were recognized as the best. He also managed to win in the categories “Breakthrough Battle”, “Best Sparring” and even “Best MC”. In the semi-finals, Oksimiron could not outshine the rapper Babangida, although many listeners were indignant at this outcome of the tournament.
After the battle, representatives of Optik Records became interested in Miron Fedorov. Thanks to this, the rapper met Dmitry Hinter. This acquaintance served as the beginning of a fruitful, albeit short-lived creative union.
At the same time, close cooperation with Optic Russia began, even the first video “I am a hater” appeared, which received a lot of positive reviews. In August 2010, Oksimiron made a decision: to leave the label of the German rap company and continue to work solo.
Vagabund and disagreements with “Caste”
After leaving Optik Russia in the summer of 2010, Oksimiron began to think about creating a new label called Vagabund, which means “Wanderer” in German. In the fall, Fedorov and Dmitry Hinter go on a tour around the country. At this time, the slogan “Censor Caste!” was born, which later became the personification of the Vagabund.
According to the main version, this slogan appeared during a performance by Hinter and Fedorov in one of the Ukrainian clubs, when the group “Casta” was supposed to perform in a nearby establishment. The Ukrainian monopolist organizer of Russian rap concerts “Nota” made attempts to prevent Vagabund from performing for fear of losing part of the audience from the “Casta” concert. This is what gave rise to the slogan, which was quickly picked up by Oksimiron fans.
In the fall of 2011, Miron Fedorov, Dmitry Hinter and Vanya Lenin created a label under which two albums were released on the same day: “The Eternal Jew” and “From the High Road”, after which Vagabund set off on a joint journey through the CIS countries.
Leaving Vagabund
On October 20, 2011, Roma Zhigan and 10 other people showed up at the rented apartment where Oksimiron and Dmitry Hinter (Schokk) were staying to sort out long-standing relationships. The showdown also affected Fedorov, although he had nothing to do with the old accounts of Zhigan and Hinter. After some time, Schokk left Russia alone, making several video messages. After such events, Oksimiron decided to leave Vagabund and break all ties with Hinter.
In 2011, on November 6, Miron Fedorov, whose biography is riddled with constant trials, gives the last acapella concert of his trip to the CIS countries and returns to London. From that moment on, Vagabund continued its existence without Oksimiron.
Miron Fedorov: personal life
The rapper hides information about his personal life from the press. What is known is that in his youth he was married, but is currently divorced. In 2014, fans came to the conclusion that Miron was in a relationship with Sonya Grese. Such conclusions were made on the basis of joint photographs that periodically appeared on the Internet. After some time, the couple broke up, and the question: “Does Oksimiron have a girlfriend?” - still remains relevant and worries many fans.
Miron Fedorov tries to hide almost all information about his personal life. The rapper does not disclose his height, weight, or the presence or absence of children, but he is not averse to communicating with fans on social networks and taking pictures with fans.
- Miron Fedorov is the owner of the track, which was read by his grandparents.
- The rapper's mouth never utters the word "eat."
- For a long time, Miron’s tracks did not contain profanity.
- Thanks to Oksimiron’s efforts, such performers as BLANK, Jubilee and Johnyboy became famous.
- The clip “I am a hater” received 357,000 views on the Youtube video hosting site, “Sometimes thick, sometimes empty” - 650,000, and Russian Cockney - 260,000.
- For some time, the rapper used a smartphone from BlackBerry (model 9300).
- Miron's first educational institution was Leningrad school No. 185.
- No life circumstances will force Fedorov to reveal the real essence of the metaphors used in his tracks.
Oksimiron today
Today, Miron Fedorov, whose photos are shown in this material, is the first Russian-speaking rapper to successfully adapt and popularize British grime. He was quite deservedly nicknamed the “Russian grime sensation.”
Oksimiron’s second album was supposed to be released back in 2012, but the long-awaited event took place only in November 2015. The album "Gorgorod", consisting of 11 compositions, tells about a writer named Mark, so it is better to listen to them in order.
In 2016, Miron Fedorov conducted several large tours (Back to Europe Tour and Takeover Tour), in addition, he took part in recording tracks with rapper Porchy.
In June 2016, the battle between Oksimiron and ST took place. On June 19 of the same year, their Versusa video appeared on the Youtube video hosting site, gaining more than 5 million views in the first three days.
Oksimiron is one of the most famous Russian-speaking rappers of our time. Oksimiron’s biography is filled with constant difficulties and trials, which is reflected in his work. You could write a book on the life of a performer, it is so diverse.
His fans share on forums a variety of assumptions about their idol. This is due to the fact that Oksimiron’s biography is described only in a few of his interviews.
Youth
Real name - Born in 1985 in St. Petersburg. His family represented a typical Soviet intelligentsia. My father was a scientist, engaged in developments in the field of theoretical physics. Mother worked in the library. Both were Jews. In 1994, the whole family moved to Germany. My father found a job there. But after some time it became clear that with the collapse of the GDR, former Soviet physicists were no longer so in demand.
Miron studied at the Wechtler School. Teaching was conducted in German, since at that time there were not enough immigrants in Germany to open Russian-language schools. Relations with classmates were very tense. German children did not like the Russian visitor, which is why conflict situations regularly arose. Later, Miron will reflect his hatred of his classmates in the song “Last Call,” which he wrote under the impression of the film “Class.”
According to the plot of the Estonian film, two students, tired of bullying, carry out reprisals against their classmates.
First experience
In his youth, Oksimiron tries to throw out his aggression through creativity. What attracts him most is music. Oksimiron gets his first experience in rap. He writes lyrics in German under the pseudonym Myth. Interest in music makes me try myself in different directions. But the lack of necessary data returns Miron to rap. At the age of 15 he begins to read in Russian. The lack of connection with Russia gives Miron reason to believe that he is the only Russian-speaking rapper. But after a trip to St. Petersburg, he realizes that this is far from true.
Moving to the UK
After 9th grade, Oksimiron’s family moved to England. There are no more problems with classmates there. Miron demonstrates excellent language skills. Having learned German, by the age of 16 he was fluent in English. At school he devotes himself entirely to his studies. In addition to schoolwork, he reads a lot. According to Miron himself, he spent almost all his free time reading books. Moreover, these were quite serious works like Loughcraft or Nietzsche. At school he was taught by a teacher from Oxford, who saw talent in the Russian emigrant.
She advised him to try to enter the philological department of a famous university. Myron passed the interview largely thanks to his literary English, which he learned by reading the classics, which was a rarity among young people at that time.
Disease
Myron is studying to become a historian of the Middle Ages. But in 2006, doctors diagnosed him, which led to his expulsion from the university. Oksimiron himself spoke about this. The songs also reflected this fact. For example, the track “Spontaneous Combustion” talks about the rapper’s mental problems. After a short break, Miron is reinstated at the university and receives a diploma.
After graduation, it turns out that a certificate from one of the most prestigious universities in the world does not at all guarantee a decent job. Here Oksimiron’s biography resembles the life path of such legends as Eminem or Dr. Dre. He works as a loader, salesman, guide and much more. Gets acquainted with the extensive representation of Russian emigrants in Europe. This reminds him of his passion for rap. Miron combines his name with a literary term and begins writing songs under the pseudonym Oksimiron. The albums “The Eminem Show” and “Collapse” by Slim Shady leave a noticeable imprint on the kind of rap Miron writes.
Oxxxymiron, can be described as a battle (combat). The texts are filled with hatred and witticisms about opponents. After Oksimiron’s participation in the famous online battle, he was invited to the Optik-Russia label. There he records joint songs with Shock, Dandy, First Class and other emigrant rappers. It was on this label, produced by the German Kul Savash, that Oksimiron gained his first popularity. In 2010 he left Optics. But at the same time he continues to cooperate with Shock. Together with him they create the label "Vagabunt", which translated from German means "wanderer".
Gaining popularity
It was at this time that a wide Russian audience learned that there was such a rapper as Oksimiron. Oxy and Shock's albums are released in mid-September. The collection of tracks "The Eternal Jew" is a real breakthrough in Russian rap. The complex combination of rhymes and punches does not leave fans of the genre indifferent. Oksimiron's style is different from all other Russian MCs.
Myron raps in the style of English grime. That is, a fast recitative is superimposed on a dub-step backing track. Along with obscene language, the lyrics contain truly bookish definitions and archaeological units, which makes the rapper even more unusual.
In 2010, there was a conflict with Roma Zhigan during Oxy and Shock’s tour of Russia. In his texts, Shock insulted Zhigan. To take revenge, the rapper broke into the apartment where Mirok, Shock and his girlfriend were. Together with several masked people, they beat Shock and forced him to ask for forgiveness, while filming what was happening on camera. After this conflict, Oksimiron breaks ties with the Vagabund label and continues his solo career.
Oksimiron: songs
At the moment, one full-length album by Oksimiron called “The Eternal Jew” has been released.
The next one is expected in November 2015. In addition, the rapper recorded a mixtape, which included verses of his best tracks. In 2014, Oksimiron takes part in “Versus Battle” - a verbal duel for Russian-speaking rappers. The first time he competed with Cripple and won a landslide victory. The video of the battle has received more than 3 million views on YouTube. After this there were two more fights with Johnny Boy, which Oksimiron also won.
On the eve of the new album, Miron released the single “City Under the Sole,” after which he announced a tour of the same name and recorded a video for the song. Oksimiron’s biography is filled with various events that, it would seem, cannot concern one person. He went from a graduate of a prestigious university to a loader, from to the most famous Russian-speaking rapper.
