Mikhail Zadornov refused treatment. Son of God and Perunov
69-year-old satirist Mikhail Zadornov after a long battle with brain cancer. The artist's relatives and friends hoped until the last that he would be able to overcome the disease, but this never happened. The satirist's daughter and widow are experiencing the loss the hardest.
Four months before his death, Mikhail refused chemotherapy, saying that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with his relatives at “his favorite Baltic dacha,” and not undergo exhausting procedures. After Zadornov’s death, neither his only 27-year-old daughter Elena, nor his wife Elena Bombina gave interviews. Women are having a hard time with the satirist’s departure, writes Rep.ru.
For Zadornov’s family, his departure is a great grief,” said a friend of the satirist’s family, Antonina Savrasova. - I know that Zadornov’s widow is now in Jurmala. She has not yet recovered from the loss. He wears mourning and often goes to the grave. Zadornov's daughter Lena is also depressed. Neither she nor her mother want to deal with inheritance matters yet. The former administrator of Mikhail Nikolaevich told me about this.
The women allegedly completely abandoned the satirist’s inheritance. In an informal conversation, this information was confirmed to KP by an employee of the Moscow notary office, which handles Zadornov’s inheritance business. According to her, only the first wife of the satirist Velta officially declared her rights to the inheritance. Zadornov's daughter Elena has been living in Malta for a long time: there she paints pictures and writes poetry, despite the fact that she is an actress by training. She admitted to her acquaintances that her father wanted to sell his property.
Lena said: during his lifetime, dad said that he wanted to sell everything. He believed that children should make their own way, and not live off what their parents earned, this deprives them of their purpose. Her father bought her a house in Malta and an apartment in Moscow; they are not included in the inheritance. Elena says that she doesn’t need anything beyond this. After the funeral, she left for Malta and doesn’t want to communicate with anyone, one of the family friends told the kp.ru website.
Shortly before his death, the nationally famous satirist, writer and researcher of the Russian language, Mikhail Zadornov, converted from Slavic paganism to Orthodoxy. This was announced by Archpriest Andrei Novikov, who performed the rite of unction of the former Rodnover. And yet, in the memory of millions, he will remain precisely as a Vril saucer pilot over the endless Hyperborea with Vedic knowledge in his head and on his lips. Path to the Gods
Having visited America after the fall of the Iron Curtain, Mikhail Zadornov was not overwhelmed by the consumer splendor, neon lights of skyscrapers, freedom of morals and the roar of engines. But from the trip he took away the phrase “Oh, stupid!”, with which he will go down in the history of Russian humor. From simple jokes about foolish Americans acting according to an iron pattern in cases where a Russian shows daring and ingenuity, Zadornov logically moved on to praising the special Russian soul.
And in the mid-2000s, already with this praise, he went deeper, even closer to his native soil - to the conviction that it was Russia that was the birthplace of the Indo-European civilization, and the Russian language was the progenitor of all the others. Ridiculously breaking native words into ancient parts and interpreting foreign words through them, Zadornov came to his native faith, Slavic paganism, whose adherents believe in many old powerful gods leading their own special games, and in the Vedic basis of human culture that came from the lands of the Rus. They also believe that evil forces are hiding this truth from the people by hook or by crook.
“Cheerfulness is the essence of paganism”
Word expert, psychologist and Rodnover Nikolai Luchkov, a friend of Zadornov, says that in the Slavic Rodnover community the satirist will be remembered in the best possible way.
He did a lot in the field of literature and history. With his enthusiasm, he will remain in our memory as a wonderful person and specialist.
Nikolai Luchkov.
According to Rodnover, Zadornov not only publicly promoted Vedic culture, but also actively participated in it: he regularly attended all kinds of pagan celebrations and expeditions. For example, in Hyperborea, according to a number of opinions, the ancient center of Proto-Indo-European civilization on the territory of present-day Greenland, Iceland, Scandinavia and northern Russia. Luchkov calls this “unspoken propaganda” of the Vedas, no less effective than public speeches, scientific and literary works of Zadornov.

Magus Lyubomir, the head of the pagan Commonwealth of Natural Faith “Slavia”, who, according to him, also knew Zadornov well, notes that the writer will remain in the memory of the Rodnover communities as a cheerful, sincere and sympathetic person. But Lyubomir emphasizes that the satirist treated Rodnoverie “informally.” On the one hand, he supported faith in his native gods, on the other hand, he was not officially a member of any communities or native belief groups. Nevertheless, it was very important for all pagans to have support from such a significant figure among the Russian people. And, definitely, he did more to promote pagan ideas to the masses than other groups of Rodnovers combined, adds the sorcerer.
Zadornov is a bright representative of the culture of his native language, native speech, love of life, cheerfulness, cheerful, sincere attitude towards life. This is the essence of paganism - to love life and learn lessons from all its manifestations - sometimes through laughter, sometimes through tears
Magus Lubomir.
Zadornov was directly involved in the creation of the epic online series “Games of the Gods” (more than 12 hours of total running time), exploring the hidden nature of our world, the Russian language and the Slavic-Aryan worldview: the unique Figurative Language, Faith, Worldview and Traditions of the Ancient Rus. On February 4, 2012, by the decision of the Supreme Court of Bashkortostan, “Games of the Gods” was recognized as extremist material and banned from showing throughout Russia.
Traditional history is bursting at the seams, the framework of traditional history is narrow for the knowledge that is opening up today for scientists, and for enlightened people, and for those who are interested in the truth. When many people argue with each other about which word is correct or which date is correct, I think it is not the time to quarrel. Time to listen to each other and collect the truth, like children collect pictures called a puzzle... If you forgot, then you have to restore it yourself

Rule and glorify
Word expert Nikolai Luchkov does not believe that Zadornov converted to Christianity before his death. “Orthodoxy is rule and glory. It should not be confused with Christianity,” Luchkov warned. According to him, now conversions to Christianity occur “serially”: people are not asked, they are given “everything they need” and the necessary rituals are performed. This is deeply wrong, he believes, since the writer was not a Christian at heart.
Lyubomir does not rule out this possibility - he could have been influenced by someone from the outside, he could have converted to Christianity at the request of his relatives in order to better say goodbye to them. But this in no way diminishes the importance of Zadornov’s personality and his contribution in the eyes of Rodnovers. The Magus gave the example of the Soviet historian and archaeologist Boris Rybakov, a researcher of Slavic culture and the history of Ancient Rus', who, although he was an Orthodox Christian, did a lot for Russian paganism with his discoveries.
Archpriest Andrei Novikov, who announced Zadornov’s renunciation of paganism and his repentance to God, refused to comment on the satirist’s religious quest that preceded his death. The secret of his transition - whether it was caused by illness, a request from relatives, or long theological research - will forever be hidden by our snow-capped Hyperborea.
