When is the best time to visit Vietnam? Season in Vietnam
Determining the best season to vacation in Vietnam
Amazing, full of contrasts, ancient and rapidly developing, always friendly and very hospitable Vietnam! Ten years ago, our tourist would have raised his eyebrows in surprise at the offer to visit Vietnam. For what? What can you see there besides poverty, wild jungle and socialism?! But now the situation has changed and it’s time to talk about when is the best time to vacation in Vietnam.
Vietnam is a country where capitalism and socialism coexist quite peacefully. The rapidly developing tourism industry dictates its own conditions, requires the development of tourism technologies and the entertainment industry, and an increase in the level of service (how else can we lure tourists from the notorious Thailand?).
Most of the country is occupied by mountains, green, covered with jungle, rocky, going straight into the sea, descending in steps of rice terraces, pierced by picturesque huge caves, and waterfalls revealing fabulous beauty. The bay is considered one of the wonders of the world, and Nha Trang Bay is one of the most beautiful diving spots in the world. By the way, it is one of the most accessible in the world.
Nature tourism, associated with active species, is one of the most developing areas in Vietnam. Historical monuments that have reached us through a millennium (the history of the country dates back to approximately 100 AD), carefully preserved and carefully restored, arouse great interest not only among vacationers, but also among scientists.
Local crafts and crafts are the amazing art of silk embroidery, the ancient Cham pottery craft in the south of Vietnam, the peculiar solar painting of local artists...
When and how can you spend your holidays in Vietnam? The climate of Vietnam, stretching from north to south, allows you to relax here all year round. In the north in the winter months the temperature can drop to + 1 °C, in the mountains there can be frost and even snow, while in the south at the same time it will be +35 °C.
Tourist seasons
It is precisely because of the climatic diversity that the country is always open to tourists. Some people are interested in a purely beach holiday, without any activities, some come here for diving, others like the low season because of the sparse crowds and low prices.
Beach season
Now let’s talk about when is the best time to vacation in Vietnam to soak up the sun by the sea longer. Russians are fleeing to warmer climes to escape the cold winter and prefer to come to Vietnam in the autumn and winter months. Especially on New Year's holidays. Beach holidays at this time of year are only possible in Nha Trang and southern Vietnam.
In the north of the country, winter begins in November and continues until March. The temperature drops to +8–10 °C. The central part of Vietnam is being hit by typhoons and can be unsafe there.
In October and November, strong winds blow, high waves rise on the sea, it rains and Nha Trang is not very welcoming at this time.
Despite the high air temperature by our standards – +27–28 °C, the water is a little cold, and sometimes the waves don’t even allow you to go into the sea. It is better to go here from February to April - this period is considered the velvet season in Nha Trang. The air temperature stays between +28–30 °C, the water warms up to +28 °C, and the sea becomes calmer.
The south of Vietnam is the resorts of Mui Ne, Vung Tau and the islands of Con Dao and Phu Quoc. In Fukuoka, beach holidays are possible 11 months a year. It is not recommended to go here in October due to heavy rains. It will also be useful to read about it in terms of features.
The best time to visit Con Dao is March-June. The days are sunny, the sea is quite calm and clear. At other times, the weather brings surprises in the form of rain and unexpected storms from July to September and humid easterly winds from September to January.
There is no obvious rainy season in Mui Ne due to the fact that the resort is located in a ring of sand dunes, which, when heated, create a thermal curtain. Therefore, the showers there are short-lived and mostly at night. Beach holidays here are considered best during the wet season - from June to October - for two reasons. The first is almost windless weather, when the sea is relatively calm. The second is the absence of jellyfish in coastal waters. They are brought here by the monsoon in the spring, and by June they disappear.
Surf season
In Mui Ne you can study in numerous surf clubs, of which there are more than 20. The best seasons for surfing in Mui Ne and Vung Tau are from January to March. At this time, the sea is warm, the weather is consistently clear, and most importantly, a steady, even wind is blowing and there is a long coastal wave. Phan Thiet and Nha Trang offer fabulous surfing conditions from September to January.
Season for divers
The best time for diving is when the water is calm and clear. The coastal waters of Vietnam are indented with coral reefs, which attract even experienced divers. Diving here is considered one of the best in the world and, at the same time, one of the most inexpensive. Vietnam is the only country on the planet where diving is possible all year round, but in different places.
The best of them are Hoi An, Nha Trang and the islands of Con Dao and Phu Quoc.
On the Con Dao Islands, the best months for diving are March-August. At this time there are no strong winds and the water is clear. Recommended for experienced divers due to great depths and strong currents.
Fukuoka has the most interesting underwater world on the north and south coasts of the island. Here the diving season lasts from November to early June. The exceptionally clear water creates excellent visibility even in shallow dives. Recommended for beginners.
In Nha Trang, this time is from February to September. There are special spacious boats equipped with a diving platform. Today, diving is offered to you not only by specialized clubs, but also by many hotels that have purchased equipment and gear for this purpose. Nha Trang Bay has the best diving in Vietnam. Recommended for all categories of divers.
The best time to go to Hoi An (central Vietnam) for diving is from May to October. There are several dive centers in the city. The most popular are several islands near Hoi An - this is the Cu Lao Cham Marine Park. But the most beautiful underwater world is on the island of Cham. By the way, there is also a dive center there.
Fishing is considered a separate entertainment for tourists in Vietnam. In the sea you can catch marlin, tuna, sea bream, cobia, and shellfish, but you have to go far out to sea to find them, where tourist agencies don’t take tourists.
In addition to sea fishing, there is river and lake fishing, fishing in rice paddies and from the seashore. Some travel agencies offer fishing tours to Vietnam, but it is very difficult to vouch for their success. The lack of experienced Russian-speaking guides, equipped vessels, and the inability to go far out to sea due to the proximity of border waters make it far from being as complete as it is presented in advertising brochures.
The sea fishing season is 10 months a year. October and November are excluded, when the sea may be closed for any sea excursions due to strong waves. Lake and river fishing is open all year round. Usually, for about $50, travel agencies will take you to the nearest artificial lake, where you can sit with a fishing rod and catch a fish, which they will cook for you right there. Squid fishing is offered on Phu Quoc Island. Entertainment is available at any time of the year, except for October, when it rains heavily and there are almost no tourists.
Excursions
Excursion tours are possible at any time of the year and do not depend on the weather. In Nha Trang, for example, excursions are not canceled even in heavy rain. Tourists are given raincoats and taken to see the sights.
Hanoi also offers excursions in winter. Halong Bay is also open for day cruises all year round. Although all its beauty - azure water, white sandy beaches on the islands and quaint grottoes - is best seen from May to August.
The resort of Sapa, which is famous for its extraordinary beauty of rice terraces, is best visited from September to mid-December.
In Central Vietnam, it is worth visiting the city of Hue - the ancient capital of Vietnam. It is famous for the imperial palace and tombs of the emperors of the Nguyen dynasty. You can take a very pleasant walk along the Fragrant River.
We move to Nha Trang and explore local historical and natural monuments. There are six main excursions here - the Northern Islands, the Yangbay eco-park with thermal springs, the mountain city of Dalat, the Southern Islands, the paradise beach of Zoklet and an overview of the city, which is called the “religious triangle”. The Northern Islands (Nha Phu Bay) and the Southern Islands (Nha Trang Bay) are closed only during a strong storm in October or November, and even then not always.
You can go to the Northern Islands - Orchid Island and Monkey Island - at any time of the year. To the Southern Islands - Hon Mun, Hon Tam and Hon Mieu to the Chi Nguyen Oceanarium - it is better to refrain from traveling in October and November. Tourists are offered snorkeling near Moon Island, but it is not at all impressive in the muddy water, and it is also quite cool.
The most interesting and eventful excursion is the city of Dalat. It is located on the highlands at an altitude of about 1500 m above sea level. The city was built by the French and is very young - it is a little over 100 years old. The unique mountain climate makes it possible to grow coffee, tea and grapes on the local slopes. It is called the city of love and eternal spring. It is especially good in February, when the sakura blossoms. The streets seem to float above the ground in a pink cloud. Excursions to Dalat are available throughout the year.
The south of Vietnam is interesting for the remains of the Cham Empire in the form of towers preserved from the 10th-11th centuries AD. Mui Ne is notable only for its nature - the colorful sand dunes there are a must see. On the islands of Con Dao and Phu Quoc, the only historical sites are military prisons.
It is impossible not to visit Ho Chi Minh City. Only Russian tourists call it that. For everyone, it remains Saigon - a huge metropolis, the southern capital of Vietnam, where almost all of the country's industry and many historical monuments are concentrated, especially those related to the war with America. You can go here at any time of the year. From Saigon you can get to the Mekong Delta.
Wellness holiday
Vietnam can be considered one big health resort. There are healing mineral springs in the mountains almost throughout the country. But Nha Trang is considered the main sanatorium city. There are three mud baths here - Thap Ba, and I-resort.
Each is good in its own way, but the water and mud there are the same in composition. There are thermal springs in the Yangbay Eco-Park, but the road there takes too long. Water and mud treat diseases of the musculoskeletal system, skin diseases, and have a healing and tonic effect. There are similar spa centers in southern Phan Thiet. A wellness holiday is possible at any time of the year and does not depend on the seasons.
Nha Trang has long been widely known in narrow circles. It is rightfully considered one of the most popular Vietnamese resorts, where summer is the best season for relaxation!
The weather here is comfortable most of the year. You can relax in Nha Trang even during the rainy season, because there is not much rainfall there. The climatic features of Nha Trang are most influenced by the Truong Son Mountains or the Annam Mountains.
Wet weather occurs from October to December. At this time, a strong wind rises at the resort, the daytime air temperature drops slightly, and high waves appear on the sea, and the water loses its transparency and becomes cloudy. During these months, it is not advisable to travel to Nha Trang for a beach holiday or diving in order to avoid disappointment. But you can devote time and see.
Summer is the holiday season in Nha Trang
Quite high temperatures await tourists from June to September. Begins high holiday season in Nha Trang
. The weather in Nha Trang in summer is ideal for swimming in the sea and going on excursions. In June there are an average of 20 sunny days, but short-term tropical showers are possible, as well as mostly cloudy weather. In August, the weather at the resort is still hot, so tourists who cannot tolerate the heat should not come here with small children. At night it does not get much cooler in Nha Trang. It is worth remembering that it rains at the beginning of August. But they usually go at night and not for long.
Features of the holiday season in Nha Trang
is the influx of foreign tourists, as well as wealthy Vietnamese coming from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and other cities. Good news for those who want privacy - you can take a break from your compatriots and Russian speech everywhere.
Autumn in Nha Trang
The weather in Nha Trang in autumn is characterized by slight coolness and the onset of the rainy season. In September there are showers lasting 10-15 minutes, but frequent several times a day. The air temperature can reach +32 degrees. At this time, many water attractions appear on the beaches of Nha Trang, and it is also convenient to visit many attractions.
The wet season is in October, when the resort experiences many rainy days. The heaviest showers occur in the evening, but they end quickly. During the day the weather becomes extremely cloudy. The day is still warm, the air temperature rises to +30 degrees. In general, autumn is traditionally considered not the season for holidays in Nha Trang.
In November there is no longer regular rain. Usually precipitation falls for no more than 7-8 days at this time. Even at the end of the month, comfortable warm weather reigns on the coast, with an average air temperature of 28 degrees. Warm clothes will not be needed even at night, when it is quite warm outside - up to +24 degrees. In November, the sea in Nha Trang is calm, without storms or big waves.
Of course, autumn in Nha Trang is not the season for relaxation, but only exclusively for a beach holiday! You won't be able to sunbathe enough, but a light chocolate shade is guaranteed in any case. Otherwise, it’s the same beautiful Nha Trang with warm weather, sea breeze, fresh seafood and vibrant attractions.
Winter and spring in Nha Trang
The weather in Nha Trang in winter and spring will delight residents of mid-latitudes who want to spend this time in a warm climate, under the sun and surrounded by tropical vegetation. Clouds over the resort are possible at the very beginning of December. Rain most often falls at night or in the middle of the day. The air warms up to +30 degrees during the day and up to +22 at night. The weather in December is perfect for both a beach holiday and active recreation.
In January, the sea temperature usually reaches +22 degrees. During this month, storms may appear in Nha Trang, causing rough seas. Therefore, January is not suitable for swimming. In February, the weather in Nha Trang becomes noticeably warmer and the rains stop.
Beach holiday season in Nha Trang occurs in March, when the daytime air temperature rises to +26 degrees. Most tourists come here in April. From May, a hot period begins, favorable for a beach holiday. The air temperature can be +27 degrees and above.
Best time to go to Nha Trang– from March to September, when the optimal ratio of air temperature and humidity is expected. During these months in Nha Trang you can relax on the beaches, attend various excursions, and also play sports. Tourists wishing to experience the dry season in Nha Trang should go there from June to August.
Holidays in exotic countries bring new sensations and impressions. There is a stereotype that the “low” rainy season in Vietnam is not suitable for travel. And this is a huge mistake.
Of course, for European residents, accustomed to maximum comfort, a half-meter water level on the roads is a shock. But for residents of the Russian Federation, this is an opportunity to relax at a convenient time, save some money on the tour and get soaked in adrenaline completely free of charge. After all, the elements do not rage all the time; downpours are replaced by calm and sunny weather.

4.
The period when heavy rainfall begins occurs in May, but this does not mean that the downpours do not stop. This is not our autumn with its gloomy sky, depressive state and the desire to quickly wait for the snow so that the dull grayness will go away.
Vietnam, even in bad weather, is exotic and beautiful. You can always find places for recreation and entertainment, regardless of the season.
Yes, the sea is covered with large waves, swimming is not recommended. But there is so much drive for surfers and lovers of simple secluded relaxation. You don’t have to swim, you can admire the picturesque nature, and there is a huge variety of it in this Asian country. When the rain stops (and it usually lasts 20-40 minutes), the beauty of the landscapes reveals itself in a new way and looks refreshed.
Perhaps the only drawback of a vacation at this time is the inability to quickly dry and warm up; in April-October it is not too hot here, and if you get caught in a downpour, you can easily get chilled. All indoor buildings are usually air-conditioned, so you won’t get any heat there, you just have to go to the hotel and change clothes. Although if you rent a car for travel, you can hide from the rain in it.
Nha Trang in the rainy season
The beach season in the tropics never stops; it lasts all year round. Thanks to the cleanliness of the water and beaches, vacationers from all over the world come to the resorts. Therefore, if you don’t like crowds, then the “rainy” period is the time to laze around in the resorts of Da Nang, Hue and Hoi An without the crowds.
In Nha Trang, in rainy weather, you can create such a varied program that not only you will have enough impressions!
- excursion to the Oceanographic Museum. Millions of inhabitants of the depths are represented here, including those listed in the Red Book. Also in artificial reservoirs you will see marine flora that no longer exists in nature;
- trip to the villas of Bao Dai. The villas, designed in the style of French colonial architecture, served as the emperor's residence for a long time. Then only high-ranking Vietnamese officials rested here. Don’t miss the chance to figure out how sanatoriums for the political elite of South Asia differ from Russian “lodges” for legislators;
- try the national cuisine. Snakes are fried and eaten here, so adrenaline and exoticism are guaranteed. We recommend carrying mineral water with you, since spices rule the roost in Vietnam. The food is spicy, and drinking it with local water is fraught, preferably bottled;
- shopping, spa treatments and local pride - the market. Consider that you haven’t tasted half the thrill if you haven’t tried Vietnamese massage at least once and didn’t skimp on the market. There are no such emotions anywhere in the world.
Rainy season in Fukuoka
For lovers of beach holidays, the resorts in Fukuoka will be a real paradise during the rainy season. The night rain does not interfere at all; on the contrary, the air becomes fresher. The only drawback: high humidity. If you have diseases of the respiratory system, it is better to vacation in the high season. And there are many advantages:
- you can rent a bungalow with savings of up to 50%;
- the beaches are uncrowded, so there is no noise;
- You can choose your place of residence at your discretion: near the sea or closer to the center. There are few people, so the choice is huge.
Rainy season in Phan Thiet
There are massage parlors offering professional Vietnamese massage and national essential oils. You need to relax, and after 2-3 sessions you will feel ready to move mountains, not to mention return to everyday work. Among the natural attractions you can see:
- statue of a reclining Buddha;
- Kega lighthouse;
- lake with lotuses;
- Red Canyon.
Rainy season in Vietnam by month
The monsoon period varies depending on the province. The climatic zones of the south, north and east are slightly different. On average, the rainy season lasts from May to the end of October. This does not mean that tropical downpours rain around the clock (although this does happen). Usually the rain stops quickly and after 2-3 hours only memories remain.
Weather in Vietnam by month:
- Heavy rainfall begins in May, but it is still rare and does not in any way interfere with the beach season and open-air sightseeing excursions.
- In June, in the south and north, the elements are raging and the sun is scorching, but in central Vietnam at this time there is beautiful weather and the peak of the holiday season.
- July marks the peak of monsoon activity. Very hot and high humidity. It is recommended to go on holiday only to the central provinces, where the sea is still calm and sometimes a cool breeze blows.
- The beaches of central Vietnam, as well as the attractions, await tourists in August. Although, if you want to learn from personal experience what a prolonged tropical downpour is like and get some adrenaline, you can go to the northern regions of the country.
- But in September it is better to sunbathe and engage in water sports in the north of the state; in other regions the weather is bad.
- October is considered one of the worst months for vacationers. In addition to showers, typhoons may appear.
If rain is not a problem for you, but you want to relax in an exotic way, then Vietnam awaits you from May to September! Recharge yourself with the energy of the elements with significant savings. The devil is not as scary as they say. So a Vietnamese vacation is wonderful if you are ready to give up your usual comfort for a while.

Rainy season in Vietnam
The wet season in the regions of the republic occurs in different months. On south(which includes the main resorts - Phan Thiet, Mui Ne, Phu Quoc, Vung Tau) it begins in May and lasts until November. At this time, the humidity is very high, and short-term tropical downpours occur. There are cloudy, cool and fresh days with gusty winds. The average temperature is about +27°C. For the shortest rainy season. Tourists usually avoid traveling to Vietnam during the rainy season, but some travelers believe that tropical rains are no big deal and come to the country during this time.
IN center In Vietnam, the rainy season lasts from December to April. At this time, we do not recommend visiting the resorts of Danang, Hue and Hoi An. We just spent December 2014 and early January 2015 in these cities. The rains, although short-lived, are frequent, and quite cool (not at all +25°C, as they usually write, but, it feels like, about +10...+15°C). The hotels do not have central heating, so the rooms are cold and you can easily catch a cold. It is very humid, clothes and shoes do not dry. We recommend having strong raincoats. It is impossible to swim because the ocean is stormy, and red flags are hung on the beaches. True, sometimes there are sunny days (or at least cloudy, but without precipitation), when you can see the sights. The resort where the most precipitation falls, according to our observations, is Hue.
On a note: during the wet season there may be typhoons (usually in the center of the country, less often in the south and north). From the second half of October to the second half of December, Danang and Hue fall under their destructive effects.
On north The country's wet season lasts from April to November. However, it sometimes rains in winter: we were there in January 2015, and, as in the case of the center of Vietnam, we would not recommend visiting the region without warm clothes, suitable shoes and raincoats. It's cold in Hanoi, temperature +10...+20°C. In Halong the situation is better: it is almost always sunny, but in the mornings and evenings it is quite cool.
Beach season
The beach holiday season in the south of Vietnam falls in the winter-spring period ( December - April) - this is the best time to fly on vacation. During these months there are many visitors from Russia, China, Europe and the USA, the weather conditions are excellent, but prices rise. In spring, dry and warm weather sets in along the entire coast. May - June is the most comfortable time to relax in the central part of Vietnam.

In Fukuoka, clear and calm water is +27°C, clear during the day +32°C, at night +23°C.
Fruit season in Vietnam
Even Vietnam can envy the abundance of fruits. Mango and jackfruit season starts in March and lasts until summer. Avocados, rambutans and lychees appear in April, and mangosteens appear in early summer. Citrons and cherimoya ripen in June, tropical plums in July, and persimmons appear in August. The season of these fruits is not very long - only 3-4 months, and they can be found on sale until the end of the calendar autumn.
In November, the first winter fruits appear - local tangerines, in December - star apples (starapple). Durians also appear in January, but the season of these exotic fruits is much longer and lasts until October. The most delicious longan ripens from May to July, but you can buy it at any time of the year.
From our own experience, we can say that Vietnam is the fruitiest country in Southeast Asia. It seems that fruit season in Vietnam is all year round: oranges, pineapples, pomelo, watermelon, melons, bananas, grapes, papaya, sapodilla, guava, pomelo, coconut, dragonfruit - there is no shortage of fruits here, we always found them everywhere, moreover at low prices (except that in the north of the country prices are higher, and the cheapest fruit is in the south). We have a special article dedicated to them - we described them, collected their names in Vietnamese and Thai and gave prices and harvest seasons.

Vietnam is now considered by many as an excellent alternative, because they are very close - in Southeast Asia. However, they are not at all similar. Let's figure out when and why to go to Vietnam.
- benefits of holiday in Vietnam;
- climate of the country;
- what month to choose for vacation.
Why is Vietnam better?
If you love Asia, if you have known Thailand far and wide, if you want to see and learn something new, if you dream of untrodden places and interesting adventures, then welcome to Vietnam.
Despite the fact that it is located very close to Thailand, these are completely two different countries. Of course, there is a certain commonality of cultures and traditions, but still the difference is huge.
- Firstly
Vietnam has had a very turbulent history. Only in the last 30-40 years has it not been shaken by destructive and bloody wars. As early as the 1st century AD there is evidence of its trade with Ancient Rome. The Mongol yoke in the 13th-14th centuries enslaved not only Russia, but also this country. Enormous Chinese influence exerted itself on Vietnam until the 19th century.
At the end of the 19th century, the French colonialists came here. The Soviet Union also had a great ideological influence on him. Vietnam is still on the bright path towards socialism. All this could not but affect the appearance of Vietnam. Most of the natives are sweet and kind, but you won’t see radiant Thai smiles.
- Secondly
They love Russians here. At least the older generation who remembers friendship with the USSR.
- Third
Vietnam has a completely different climate. Only part of the central and southern coast is suitable for a pleasant holiday. In the north "rain season" coincides with the warm period. The center is blown away by typhoons, and the south is subject to severe floods in places.
- Fourth
Vietnam dreams of catching up with Thailand in terms of the number of tourists. Whether he succeeds or not, we'll see. But so far this is not a country too spoiled by the money of guests. Perhaps, we can name only a few places where tourism has already become firmly integrated into the infrastructure - Nha Trang, Halong, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Mui Ne, Phu Quoc Island.
- Fifthly
Prices here are still cheaper than in Thailand. We take the average value for the country, since in the above-mentioned places they can be much higher than in Thailand.
- At sixth
Thailand is already well-trodden by travelers, but Vietnam is not yet. There are many places preserved where no tourist has truly set foot.
When is the best time to go on holiday to Vietnam?
The country is located in the tropical climate zone. There is a lot of sun, warmth, as well as winds and rain. Unlike Thailand, you can’t always swim here and not everywhere.
- North
The northern part of the coast and the hinterland are not very suitable for tourism, especially beach tourism. The sea temperature is above 23 degrees Celsius only from April to November. At the same time, from May to September it rains quite heavily. If you are not afraid of showers, floods and landslides, you can try to rest during this time. Indeed, despite the rains, the sun shines 2/3 of the days in the month.
In winter "dry" months here you can have a great time in active entertainment - hiking, excursions, cruises.
- Center
The central coastline of Vietnam will please beach lovers more. Only January, February and March offer sea temperatures around 22-23 degrees. But also "rain season" here it is shifted towards autumn-winter. From September to January you have a chance to encounter heavy rain every other day . The number of sunny days is less than in the north - only 4-8 per month. In the autumn months there is a maximum risk of encountering a typhoon.
Nha Trang- tourist mecca of Vietnam. Starting from here and to the south there is a year-round beach season. It rains here, but much less. During 2 weeks of vacation, you risk getting caught in the rain only 1-4 times. The humidity here is not as high as in the north. But there is "hot spot"- river delta Mekong. It is constantly subject to floods and the onslaught of the ocean.
With all its advantages, Vietnam has one unpleasant feature. It is one of the most dangerous countries in terms of climate. And this must be taken into account. According to the UN, about one and a half percent of the country's GDP annually goes to the restoration of sites destroyed by natural disasters. What you might encounter here:

Not just rain, but tropical downpours. The north of the country and mountainous areas are most susceptible to them. The peculiarity of the local soil is such that it is easily eroded and washed away, causing destruction of roads, houses, and agricultural land;
wind
The Pacific Ocean loves to play with typhoons. Vietnam often experiences this. A squally wind tears wires and breaks trees, as if showing man his place in nature. "Typhoon Season" lasts from August to the first days of November. The central coast is in first place in terms of their numbers, followed by the northern and southern ones.
- drought
Tourists do not suffer much from this disaster, but local residents do quite often. Combined with heavy rains, this can destroy the rice crop - the main "of bread"
- floods
Typhoons are dangerous in themselves, but coupled with rainfall they often provoke a rise in water levels. The Mekong Delta just recently experienced serious flooding, which was accompanied by a typhoon and tropical downpour. About 20 people died, hundreds of thousands lost their homes. Roads, administrative facilities and residents' houses were destroyed, communications were cut off. Such disasters occur in Vietnam almost every year.
Changes in global climate affect Vietnam more than many other countries. This is due to the special location and long length of the coastline - the main "risk factor".
Where to go in Vietnam?

Beach
The most popular beach holiday destination in Vietnam is the stretch of coast south of Nha Trang. It rains least from January to August. The temperature is comfortable for swimming. April is considered the best month.
- Nha Trang– there is everything here – entertainment, shopping, and deserted beaches far from the city center. From here it is convenient to go on excursions in the southern and central parts of the country.
- Phan Thiet– a favorite of surfers. Constant winds inflate the sails and create a good wave, especially during transitional climatic periods. The longest beach season here is from November to April.
- Mui Ne- Phan Thiet's neighbor. It was chosen by Russian tourists. Want to stay close to your roots even on vacation? Then this is the place for you. But be prepared to pay more for it.
- Phu Quoc- a quiet tropical island, located in the waves of the shallow Gulf of Thailand. It has the warmest water and hottest nights. The best time to go here is from December to April.
