Czech development branch. Czech branch in World of Tanks
World of Tanks: review of Czech tanks
The Czech line is actively in demand in the first quarter of 2017. Players use different tanks, despite the fact that Czechoslovakian updates are not released often. Today we will look at light and medium tanks of Czechoslovakia, which were actively used in combat.
Light tanks.
Czech tanks are famous for their mobility. The Czech branch features tanks of three tiers. The first level is famous for the Kolohousenka tank. This is most likely due to his appearance. The vehicle does not have any special characteristics, its armor is weak, its mobility is low, this is typical for all first-line tanks. If you start playing as Czechoslovakia and your main requirements for a tank are an accurate gun and good aiming parameters, then you need to use this tank. But we do not recommend playing it for beginners.
The second level is occupied by LT vz. 35. The tank is very similar both in characteristics and in external parameters to a German second-tier combat vehicle. The tank differs from the German combat vehicle in its 37 mm gun and comfortable aiming angles. For the second level, the tank has good cross-country ability through forests; we do not recommend using it in urban environments.
The third level houses the LT Vz tank. 38. It is also an analogue of the German tank. In terms of characteristics, it is better modified. The high-speed turn of the gun makes it possible to shoot and hit accurately on the move. Reloading occurs in 3 seconds. Despite the fact that light tanks do not have particularly different performance characteristics, battle tanks are classified as passable tanks. After the third level, medium tanks move in the Czech direction.
Medium tanks.
The fourth level is occupied by ST vz.39. The tank is ideal for those who like to play against weak German vehicles. If you encounter level 5 and 6 vehicles in battle, you can count on a negative result. Firstly, maneuverability will not give you an advantage over your opponent. Secondly, the machine's performance is average. The armor in the tank is weak. If you are shot directly from behind, the tank will instantly burst into flames. The best recommendation we can give is to use the implement at fast speed. The tank has an accurate gun, the angles of inclination are increased with the help of additional armor.
The fifth level features a prototype of the German version of the T-24. This is a strong, powerful mid-level tank, which immediately makes it clear all the advantages of playing for the Czech direction. Skoda T-24 is accurate, the speed in the tank is fast, the caliber is large, the viewing radius is increased compared to the T-24. The main disadvantage among medium tanks is their weak armor.
The sixth level is Skoda T-25. The Czech differs from other medium tanks in its fast drum reloading. Reloading in the tank takes 7-8 seconds.
In seventh place among medium tanks is the Konstrukta T-34-100, which is very similar to the Soviet T-43 tank. Among the characteristics of the tank, it is fashionable to note good armor, separate armor stripes on the gun. Of the minuses, the first thing to note is the armor throughout the tank. Despite the cannon, the armor in the tank is weak and it is impossible to “play” on maneuverability and fast shots. Ideal for an allied team. The car is not suitable for 1v1 confrontation. The accuracy of the shot is high, but we will not focus on this.
Eighth place - TVP VTU Сoncept. Why the developers classified this model in the middle class is a mystery. The armor in the tank is weak, armor penetration is strong. The tank lights up quickly, takes a long time to repair, and the only advantages we can highlight are good dynamic qualities. Mobility in the tank is also high. Speed in a tank is probably the only advantage. Accelerates up to 55 km per hour. The remaining characteristics of the tank are a total disappointment and a minus.
The strongest mid-tier tanks in the Czech branch are tanks of levels 9 and 10. This is Skoda T-50. The tank is not well equipped with armor, however, the reloading in the tank is German, the drum includes three shells. The speed in the tank is fast, acceleration up to 50 km per hour is possible in any terrain except swamps. Enemy opponents will be neutralized if you choose this model in battle and take advantageous positions. Even heavy German tanks will be rendered harmless if you shoot them 3 times accurately.
World of Tanks - an exciting virtual tank battle in which players fight on World War II tanks that existed in reality and are in design. The game is developing every time and offers completely new equipment, so it is not surprising that the game’s tank fleet is constantly growing and already has more than 400 tanks. But today we will talk about the latest development branch, which is known as the Czech tank branch. It came out not so long ago and was able to surprise many, first of all, with its interesting approach to creating tanks.
A little history
The Czech branch of tanks does not have many representatives of combat vehicles in the game. World of Tanks , but even the first tanks make it clear that this nation did not particularly use original methods of creating combat vehicles and mainly copied tanks from other nations: Germany and the USSR. But this trend is observed exclusively at the initial levels; after the 5th level of development, it is clear that tanks begin to take shape and are created by the nation’s personal engineers. Quite an interesting development in tank building, but enough words, it’s time to look at the tanks themselves.
Level 1 - Kolohousenka
How to accept this in all nations, the first thing we are greeted with is the prototype of the initial tanks, which always causes emotion or laughter. This time we are offered a ride on Kolohousenka - a tank that was again created on the basis of a tractor, albeit with a focus on comprehensive protection. This small coffin on wheels does not stand out among other tanks and is practically useless in battle. Perhaps there will be fans of the “keychain”, but it is definitely not suitable as an effective tank.
Level 2 - LT vz. 35
And here is the first representative of the German copy, the LT vz tank. 35. It resembles German technology not only in appearance, but also in characteristics, which, under strange circumstances, are slightly underestimated. There is nothing special to say about it, and in terms of efficiency it is not particularly good, so we can safely label it a “passer” and move on.
Level 3 - LT vz. 38
LT vz. 38 is the first attempt to create modifications for our tanks, which seem to have performed well, but not enough in terms of competition. Yes, the LT vz tank. 38 is very good in terms of convenience and pleasant gameplay. It has good dynamics, has an excellent weapon, capable of penetrating 85 mm thick armor, but the accuracy of this tank is very poor and the damage is not so high, only 40 units of strength on average. One thing is good, you will pass this tank quickly and you will not even notice how you go into battle already at the 4th level of development.
Level 4 - ST vz. 39
ST vz. 39 is the first medium tank of this development branch, which rightfully cannot be good. The original experimental tanks were not very good, the main thing was that they moved and could shoot. ST vz. 39 ideally fulfills these conditions, however, the design of the tank itself is not so strong, there is poor visibility and a weak gun, but this tank is playful and nimble, which, in principle, does not negate all of its disadvantages.
Level 5 - Škoda T 24
And here is the first successful copy of the Czech development branch - Škoda T 24. This tank was created on the basis of data from the Soviet T-34 tank and the clone was a success. The Škoda T 24 has excellent dynamics and maneuverability, rapid-fire weapons and weak armor. Everything is like the Soviet prototype, but there is one unpleasant difference: the Škoda T 24 has a weak gun aiming indicator, which sometimes makes it impossible to conduct long-range fire, so you need to act on it aggressively, confidently and, not forgetting that your ammunition rack is ready to explode from any enemy shot, since it is practically unprotected. But in terms of convenience and capabilities, you will definitely like this tank.
Level 6 - T-25
Have you ever wondered why the prototypes for this development branch were mainly German tanks? It's simple, Germany quickly captured this state and quickly established production frameworks according to existing drawings, which did not allow this nation to have time to create something original and effective. We have already reached level 6, where the T-25 meets us. This tank immediately gives us an interesting feature, which is the presence of a loading drum for 3 shells. A trifle, but how pleasant and effective! But you shouldn’t be so happy, because the damage and armor penetration indicators of this tank are not as high as we would like, so it won’t be possible to produce colossal damage values. The second unpleasant point is poor maneuverability, which immediately reduces your speed to a minimum. Apart from these flaws, the T-25 is a great tank for fun if you can handle it.
Level 7 - Konstrukta T-34/100
The next representative of the Czech development branch is the Konštrukta T-34/100 tank, which was created on the basis of the Soviet T-34-85 tank. The designers wanted to improve the copy and created a 100 mm gun for the tank, which justified itself. True, the problem of weak armor remains the main one for this development branch. Konštrukta T-34/100 is a convenient, nimble and interesting tank that has a small supply of shells. The initial ammunition is sorely insufficient for an effective game, so you have to calculate your actions and think in advance about who exactly should be humiliated. Fortunately, the 100 mm gun has acceptable damage and a good rate of fire.
Level 8 - TVP VTU Concept
And here is the first representative of our own developments, the TVP VTU Concept tank. Finally, the designers took the plunge and created an interesting combat prototype that should have pleased many, and it did. Everything about the tank is good, except for gun alignment and accuracy. We no longer take into account weak reservations, since this is a national feature. As for dynamics, damage, rate of fire and other technical indicators, they are at the proper level. This tank is effective in battle, however, if it is used strictly according to the class application of medium combat vehicles. But this tank does not like improvisation, so always think about what you are doing.
Level 9 - Skoda T-50
And here is the first pearl of this development branch, which will appeal to many players and will certainly add to the collection of good tanks in your hangar. The Škoda T-50 combat vehicle is designed specifically to support its allies and shoot single targets. The tank has excellent speed and maneuverability, has a loading drum for 3 projectiles, which takes only 21 seconds to reload, and excellent damage ratings of 350 units. This combat vehicle is capable of destroying unwary targets like a storm and finishing off unwary opponents. We cannot say anything bad about this tank, since we really liked it, and we recommend it to absolutely everyone.
Level 10 - T50/T51
T50/T51 is an improved version of the T50, in which only the indicators of armor penetration, accuracy and the presence of shells in the drum were affected. Now you can fire 4 projectiles at intervals of 1.5 seconds, and the drum itself will reload in 24 seconds. Therefore, this tank is also recommended for your collection; most likely, it will become your treasured tank from the whole nation.
The Czech branch of tanks is pumping slowly and mostly causes negative emotions at first. But once you get to the TOP representative, all the negativity will immediately disappear, and you will be satisfied with your work. Is it worth downloading this development branch? It's definitely worth it, since the top-end T50/T51 is quite original and interesting to play.
Tankers!
You will find a number of little-known facts and fascinating details of the formation of the tank school in Czechoslovakia in the fourth issue of the mobile magazine World of Tanks Magazine. Learn about the Russian father of Czech tanks, the predecessors of the Kolohusenka and the Pilsen map in the game from the material “Czech Tanks: At the Crossroads of Empires.”
Sworn friends
In interwar Czechoslovakia there were two large factories: Skoda and ČKD, which were the main competitors in the field of tank building. There is an opinion that there was an unofficial cartel between them: ČKD gave Skoda the opportunity to supply tanks to the Czech army, and the latter was not very keen to enter foreign markets, so versions of Czech tanks for export were manufactured at ČKD. At the same time, there was quite close cooperation between the companies; they both built units for these vehicles, plus neither of them had armor production. Armor plates for the production of tanks were supplied from the Poldi steelworks (Huť Poldi) in the city of Kladno and the VHHT (Vítkovické horní a hutní těžířstvo) plant in the city of Vitkovice.

Of course, conversations about the Czech branch of tanks have been going on for more than 6 months. At the same time, the release of the branch was again postponed. But it’s okay, very soon the combat vehicles of Czechoslovakia will go to World Of Tanks.
In the meantime, we will look at the medium tanks of the Czech branch, so that we can understand, is it worth downloading? Are there any implication or will we see something new in terms of gameplay?
Level 1 Kolohousenka
Kolohousenka is a standard lvl 1 in wot, slow, cardboard and a mediocre weapon. Its characteristics are penetration 45 mm, damage 50 units, reload time 3.1 seconds. And the maximum speed of 25 km/h clearly hints that we won’t drive fast...
Level 2 lt vz.35
Everyone played the Pz 35, this is from the German branch, so the lt vz.35 is its copy. Penetration is 52 millimeters, damage is 40 units. The maximum speed of 35 km/h will allow you to move around the map quite quickly, which is important for low levels. Well, this is a walk-through tank.
Level 3 lt vz.38
Already at level 3 we see lt vz.38. The combat vehicle is already much better than the first two. After all, penetration of 82 mm is pleasing, although the damage is low, only 40 units, but a reload of 3 seconds will allow you to quickly turn a sieve out of the enemy. There is practically no armor, the strongest place is the forehead - there is 25 mm.
Level 4 ST vz.39
But we just got used to good penetration, and then we get ST vz.39. Its gun will penetrate a maximum of 86 mm. Thus, we understand that we can handle the 4th level, but lvl 5 and 6 TTs will be too tough for us. Although, thanks to the maximum speed of 45 km per hour, you can try to spin the tanks or play positionally. The result is that they pumped it up and forgot about it.
Level 5 T-24
At the fifth level, the T-24 awaits us, with its 58 km per hour maximum speed and 45 km per hour on medium soils. Thus, driving around the map will be very pleasant on it. The gun also did not disappoint, penetrate 132 mm with a single damage of 110 mm and reload is 5.5 seconds. I think it’s clear that players with straight hands will be able to bend. But don’t forget there is no armor at all...
Level 6 T-25
And finally we got to an interesting car - the T-25. It is very similar to the German T-25, but the Czechs came out with a completely different tank. Let's start with the weapon - after all, it is his main thing. The Czech T-25 has a drum for 3 shells! It has a 132 mm gun penetration. Of course, he will often not be enough against 7 and 8, but gold shells come to the rescue. The tank reminds me of a Zippo lighter, such a reliable device! In general, players will like this tank and it will be quite easy to complete.
Level 7 Konstrukta T-34-100
The branch of Czech tanks at level 7 has been replenished with the Konstrukta T-34-100. This is almost a 100% copy of the Soviet T-43. Hence the gameplay, neat, thoughtful, not in the forefront. We are not passing quickly, still 43, or rather Konstrukta T-34-100 cactus.
Level 8 TVP VTU Сoncept
The new cardboard tank TVP VTU Сoncept with a penetration of 188 mm will make anyone cry After all, we will already be meeting lvl 10! Well, at least the damage was good - 320 HP, reload time 11 seconds. There is no armor, so we play as expected on cardboards, from behind the backs of stronger comrades. A maximum speed of 55 km will allow for maneuvering.
Level 9 Skoda T-50
And again we see a reloading drum on Czech tanks. The Skoda T-50 has a gun with a penetration of 248 mm, and the damage is 320 units per shot. At the same time, the CD of the entire reel takes 21 seconds, so it will be a lot of fun. The dynamics of the tank are also at the level of 50 km per hour maximum speed, turning speed is 42 degrees. Again, there is no armor, the hull is on average 65 mm, the turret in the forehead is 120 mm.
Level 10 T50/T51
And here is the crown of the Czech branch of medium tanks T50/T51. Essentially this is a Skoda T-50, but only with improved performance. But what can he do in battle?
The T50/T51 has an excellent gun - a 4-shot drum, with an armor penetration of 248 mm, a reload between shots of 1.5 seconds and a reload of the entire drum of 24 seconds. The maximum speed of 60 km per hour provides an excellent opportunity to be the first to occupy key positions on the World of Tanks maps.
Again, there is no armor, the hull is 60 mm and the turret is 120 mm thick. Therefore, beware of landmines and artillery guns.
As we see at the top, the tank turned out to be interesting and will definitely be upgraded by players.
The virtual tanks of the most popular game called World of Tanks continue to expand their technical fleet and offer players completely new interesting, and sometimes not so interesting, equipment for virtual battles. Today we want to talk about the youngest development branch, which is known as the Czechoslovakian tank branch. The developers have long mentioned the introduction of this nation, and today you can without any problems ride this magnificent equipment, which has absolutely extraordinary efficiency and convenience, but meets all expectations when you get to the top point of development.
A little history
How did Czechoslovak military equipment appear? As sad as it may be, the native tank of this nation is the infamous Kolohousenka, which is an incomprehensible box that looks efficient and armored, but in reality turns out to be a very bad tank. Regarding the further development of military equipment, after this state was captured by the German army, the design of equipment came under the control of Germany, and this nation produced slightly modified copies of German tanks. There are models that copy Soviet technology, but the top positions are again full of originality and interest. In general, this development branch is not full of special originality and sometimes allows us to ride in the same type of tanks that we could see from other nations, but still there is something interesting and attractive in this nation.
Level 1 - Kolohousenka
The first level of development of this nation is not at all impressive. In fact, it is rare that the first level of a tank is impressive, if, for example, we take other nations. This small tank with large, elongated dimensions has no chance of successfully conducting battles, and in most cases it will simply die, taking with it a small amount of experience. The good news is that you can complete it with free experience or a couple of fights.
Level 2 - LT vz. 35
The second level of development is already beginning to be replete with German models. In our case, LT vz. 35 is a copy of a German tank, which has poor armor, but at the same time has proper armament, accuracy, rate of fire and other positive aspects. True, the dynamics of this tank are not so good, but at this level of development you won’t have much fun on the battlefield.
Level 3 - LT vz. 38
It's easy to guess that LT vz. 38 is a modified LT vz tank. 35, however, is not in the best performance. LT vz. 38 - this time it improved the dynamics, although it greatly increased the booking problems. Now the tank is a real “cardboard”. its modules are constantly damaged (much more often than on other tanks) and at the same time it has the lowest strength rating among all similar models.
Level 4 - ST vz. 39
And here is the first representative of the middle class - ST vz. 39. This tank already boasts excellent accuracy and aiming, but again has weak armor and a weak gun. The tank shoots accurately and comfortably, but its armor penetration is very poor, so you need to choose weak targets, or target critical spots in other tanks, otherwise you risk being left without any damage.
Level 5 - Škoda T 24
The Škoda T 24 shows the first signs of comfortable and efficient play. Although at first glance, it seems that the tank is not suitable for effective combat, if you get used to its disadvantages and correctly use its advantages, among which excellent maneuverability and speed stand out, then you will be able to control the situation on virtual battlefields and sometimes achieve excellent results, the main thing is to have the desire to achieve this goal.
Level 6 - Skoda T 25
Škoda T 25 is a modified copy of the Škoda T 24 tank. If earlier this tank had good maneuverability and dynamics, now these advantages are a thing of the past, but the damage and armor penetration indicators have been well reworked and armor has appeared. Yes, it's not as good, but it's still better than it was before. The tank is terribly clumsy, so it is worth considering the possibility of holding the point and supporting the allies, no other use is envisaged.
Level 7 - Konstrukta T-34/100
Konštrukta T-34/100 is an improved modification of the Soviet T-34-85 tank, albeit with worse armor, increased maneuverability and a serious 100 mm caliber gun. I would like to immediately note that the tank is much worse than the Soviet representative, although it is a level higher. Although, if you learn to play it and really want to achieve high results, then after a few dozen battles you will be able to show acceptable results, but is it worth the effort?
Level 8 - TVP VTU Concept
TVP VTU Koncept is another representative of the native assembly and design of this nation. The tank is nimble, dynamic, has weak armor and a good 105 mm gun. But the weapon itself takes a long time to aim and is not that accurate, so you should immediately prepare for playing at close distances. It’s better, of course, to clinch from enemies, but you need to do this only under one condition - if your allies are covering you, since you definitely won’t be able to withstand enemy shots.
Level 9 - Škoda T 50
The Škoda T 50 is an excellent tank of this development branch, which perfectly combines weak armor and a powerful rapid-fire gun. The only drawback of this tank is its small ammunition load, which will often be in short supply. Otherwise, this tank is simply wonderful and will definitely remain in your hangar for a long time as a collection tank, but only until you study the top tank of this development branch.
Level 10 - TVP T 50/51
TVP T 50/51 is an improved version of the Škoda T 50 tank, which again has problems with armor and ammunition supply, but the dynamics, maneuverability and rate of fire have become even higher. If the Škoda T 50 has a loading drum for 3 projectiles, then the TVP T 50/51 already has 4 projectiles in the drum, taking into account loading the drum in 24 seconds. This is an excellent indicator that allows you to inflict colossal damage to the enemy, considering that the average damage of a tank is 320 points of strength. TVP T 50/51 is the best representative of this development branch, which is sure to add to your collection of the best battle tanks.
The Czechoslovakian branch of tanks is not the brightest representative of combat vehicles, but considering that at the top of this development branch there is such a “pearl” of tank building as the TVP T 50/51, this development branch is not useless. It goes through quickly, given the high speed and maneuverability of the tank, which brings positive emotions. Is it worth downloading this development branch? Definitely worth it, since the TVP T 50/51 is a rather original and interesting tank, for which it is worth going through all the tanks presented in this nation at the moment.
